July Favorites!

Favorite Movie

The Lone Ranger: When I first saw the preview to this movie, I was so enchanted. I can't even explain to you. I love Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, and Armie Hammer. I remember Armie Hammer played Prince Charming in Mirror, Mirror, the Snow White movie with Julia Roberts in it. I fell in love with him in that movie. I marked the date on my calendar when The Lone Ranger would come out. I was so excited. I don't normally do that. I also saw that it was made by the same people who made The Pirates of the Caribbean moves. This movie is what all movies should be. It had great cinematography, a beautiful soundtrack, handsome men, a great story line, romance, and excitement. Johnny Depp is so wonderful in this movie. When I think about it, I don't think I've ever seen a movie with him in it that I haven't liked. Same with Helena Bonham Carter. Basically, if you see they are out in a new movie, you should probably see the movie if you want to be entertained. This movie tells the back story of The Lone Ranger and Tonto. I love the morals of the story. I love when a story shows the good winning and the bad side being punished. Justice will be served! And it shows how Native Americans were mistreated, so it didn't glorify history or anything like that. There was also a bit of magic thrown in, which is fun for the imagination. I have a huge crush on the Lone Ranger. I want to watch Mirror, Mirror again, just to see Armie Hammer. <3

Favorite TV Show

The Office: I used to watch this show all the time, but for some reason I stopped watching it. Well, this month I was bored and searching On Demand for something to watch. I saw they had all 8 seasons of The Office on Demand! So I started watching season 8, hoping I would be able to follow the story, even though I haven't been watching it. You don't need to be up-to-date with the show in order to follow the episodes. It is so funny. I like how the characters are all quirky and interesting. The show also has heart. There is a sweet side to the show. For example, it shows the importance of friendship or loyalty or encouragement, etc, but it does it in a funny way, not a preachy way. Some people may not like this show because it is very strange. It's not like your typical sitcom.

Favorite Books

1. The House of Night Series: Marked & Betrayed by P.C. Cast and Kristen Cast. I found this book in the grocery store. It is really the first two books of a series called House of Night. It is written for young adults, but I found myself getting wrapped up in the story. It is about teens that are turning into vampires. They stay in a boarding school called, "The House of Night." The first two books are about the main character, Zoey who has been "marked", so she is going to become a vampire and her whole world changes. In this book Nyx is a character, the goddess of night. She favors Zoey, and gives her special powers. There is a lot of magic in this book. There is also romance and mystery. It is written by a mother and a daughter. There are 10 books in the series so far, and the newest book is supposed to come out in October this year. I have to warn you these books may offend people because there are sexual situations and it shows the darker side to people who claim to be Christians. I am a Christian, and I'm not offended, but some people may be. It just shows people being narrow minded and weird, like people can be. Later in the series, Zoey meets Christians that are good.

2. Chosen by P.C. Cast and Kristen Cast: This is the third book in the series. After reading the first two books I quickly went to the library to check out the next book. These books keep getting better! I have never liked soap operas, but I think these books are similar to a soap opera. There are a lot of weird drama situations, people die and then get raised from the dead. People are murdered, and there are a lot of lies. The main character, Zoey, has three different love interests! It is all pretty crazy, but I am hooked. I couldn't wait to get the fourth book after reading this one.

3. Untamed by P.C. Cast and Kristen Cast: So I finished the fourth book this month! These books weave supernatural themes with Native American folk tales, so it is interesting to me. I don't want to say too much because I don't want to give anything away if you are thinking of reading these books. I went to the library and got a lot of these books. It looks like I'm going to be reading this series for the summer.

Favorite Nail Polishes

1. Nicole by OPI Selena Gomez in Confetti Fun: I wore this over China Glaze For Audrey. This is a glitter polish that has big and little flecks, red, green, gold, silver, turquoise. I don't have any polish like this. But it is dupable. It is just a colorful glitter polish. It reminded me of fireworks, and I wanted to wear it for the 4th of July.

2. Nicole by OPI Selena Gomez in Inner Sparkle and L'Oreal Nail Color in The Palace Life: I'm not happy with how this picture turned out. It is hard to see the polish. This is another glitter top coat that is so unique. I don't have anything like this in my collection. It has big and little flecks. There is pink and purple and tiny gold shimmer. I thought this would look good on a pastel pink polish. I like pastel polishes. I think I've mentioned that before.

Other Beauty Favorites

1. Milk of Magnesia: I have combination skin and in the winter time it was on the dryer side, but this summer my skin has been really oily. I tried different things, but I swear it just made my skin produce more oil. I researched what I should do on the internet and I found somewhere people recommending getting Milk of Magnesia from the dollar store. It only cost a dollar! You use a cotton ball and put in on your face before applying makeup. I wasn't sure about it, but then I heard Kandee Johnson talk about it in one of her videos. I don't remember which one. Once I heard her mention it, I felt like I should give it a try. I think it does work! Sometimes it leaves a white patch on my skin, but I just rub it off when I put my primer on. This is a great trick!

2. Boots No.7 Beautifully Matte Foundation in Cool Ivory: I have been trying different things to get my skin matte. My foundation wasn't doing the trick, so I knew I needed to get something for oily skin. I saw this review by Melmphs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GHtcrLeKMC8. And she gave it a high review, so I decided to get it. I don't know if I got the right shade for my skin tone. There were testers there, so I should have used them, but I didn't know. I took the tester to the cash register! They had to go back and get me a bottle you could buy! xD It goes on dark when I put it on my skin, but when I blend it out it looks ok. I think this does help to keep me matte, along with my matte powder and the Milk of Magnesia. This is the best foundation I've tried so far to keep me matte. I don't want to look cakey. And it doesn't look like I have a mask on my face. I still have oil that shines through, but it is more controlled.

3. Revlon Colorstay Foundation for Combination/Oily Skin in Ivory: This is what I used for most of the month before I saw the video about the Boots foundation. I was using the foundation by Revlon for dry skin and I was really happy with it, until my skin got oily. I had at the beginning got one for dry skin and one for oily skin because I wasn't sure which one was for me. When I tried on the combination/oily foundation in the winter, my skin felt so dry and I hated it. I decided to keep it though. I'm glad I did because when my skin changed this summer, this foundation worked a lot better. The only thing is my skin was still oilier than I wanted it to be. I like the Boots one better because it makes me more matte, but I think it is more expensive. The Boots Foundation costs $13.99. The Revlon foundation costs $9.99. You get 1.0 Fl. Oz./30 mL in both foundations. The Boots foundation has SPF 15 which is nice.

4. Maybelline Volum' Express Falsies Big Eyes Waterproof Mascara in Very Black: It was time to throw away my old mascara and get a new one this month. I was curious to try this one. I really love it! I think it does make my eyes look bigger. I like how it has a wand for the upper lashes and a wand for the lower lashes. I put Covergirl Lash Perfection as a second layer on the top lashes, and it really makes my lashes look nice. I have tried Maybelline The Falsies and I knew I liked that one. I thought I would like this, and I'm glad it didn't disappoint.

5. Sonia Kashuk Beautifying Blush in Flushed: This is a beautiful matte, bright pink blush. It really does give a flushed look to the cheeks. I heard Melmphs rave about this blush, and I had to go check it out. It is a dupe for MAC Blush in Pink Swoon, I heard somewhere, maybe I heard that on a Melmph Youtube video.

6. Essence Gel Liner in Midnight in Paris: This is a jet black eye liner. It is a dupe for MAC's Blacktrack Fluid Line. It is very inexpensive. I don't remember how much it cost, and I can't find the price online for some reason. It is a good deal.

7. Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Pink Pop: I heard Essie Button raving about this on one of her youtube videos. It looked really pretty on her, so I was off to buy it. On my hand it looks like the same shade as the Sonia Kashuk blush. It is a new lip gloss. I have other Super Lustrous lip glosses so I knew it would be good quality. This is a bright watermelon pink, blue-based, medium-dark, with a creamy glossy finish. It is a pretty color for the summertime.

8. The Balm Rockstar Palette: I did a whole blog post devoted to this palette. http://beautydiversion.blogspot.com/2012/12/the-balm-rockstar-palette.html But I didn't put it in a monthly favorites. This is a great palette. It has shimmer and matte eyeshadow, a highlighter and blush that I love, and two lip products. The highlighter is exactly the same as The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer and the blush is exactly the same as The Balm's Frat Boy Blush. I use these all the time. My favorite thing about this palette is the blush because it is a matte peach, which I don't have in my makeup collection.

Favorite Songs

1. Tea for Two: I don't know who sings it. It is a young, female voice. I hear it on Youtube, so it must not be copyrighted. It is an updated version of the song. I'm aware that it is an old song, but this version is not sung by Doris Day or Ella Fitzgerald. It's a slower version. Here is a video with this song in the background: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXKiOTho5Yg.

2. Let It Be by The Beatles

3. Cooler Than Me by Mike Posner

4. I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor

5. Jump Right In by Zac Brown Band

6. Colder Weather by Zac Brown Band

7. Treasure by Bruno Mars

8. White Liar by Miranda Lambert

9. This One's for the Girls by Martina McBride

I have less songs this month! I'm not sure why that is because I love music so much. Maybe I've learned how to narrow it down a bit. If you haven't heard of a song, look it up on Youtube, you may like it. Some of the songs are old and some are brand new.

I hope you enjoyed my favorites! What was your favorite thing this month? Leave me a comment!

Furry Friend Tag!

I saw this tag done on Youtube by PiinkSparkles. She has two dogs, and she has done it for both of her dogs. Here is one of the videos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tUiMsxG-8Uo. I love animals, and I have never done a post about Kitty, so I wanted to do one. If you have a pet, feel free to do this tag too and link to your blog in a comment down below!

♥ Questions ♥

1. What is his/her name? Kitty

2. When did you get him/her? I think it was the first year I was in teaching school, maybe 2005.

3. What is something he/she does that annoys you? She wakes me up when she wakes up very early in the morning, so she can get a treat or attention. She feels I need to be awake when she is awake.

4. What type of breed is he/she? I think she is a mix. A tabby cat. Short haired?

5. Has he/she ever had a near death experience? I don't know.

6. Does he/she know any tricks? no

7. Does he/she love to snuggle? She used to scratch and bite a lot. She is very sweet now. She doesn't like it when you pick her up, and she only gets onto my Dad's lap when he is trying to read. She doesn't go onto anyone's lap other then in those circumstances. If she meows at you, you may come over to her and pet her only for as long as she wants you to. Not too much. If she gets on the bed or couch and meows at you, that is her giving permission to pet her. She sets clear boundaries.

8. Where did you get him/her? My mom and I both volunteered for an organization called SMART, which is a program to be a mentor to children and you get to read to them. My mom was there one day when a lady told everyone about a cat in her apartment complex that needed a home. It was homeless, and she couldn't take it in because she already had the maximum number of cats. The children in the apartment area were being mean to it, and she was concerned. My mom decided spontaneously to pick up the cat. Kitty was in a carrier, and was growling like she was possessed. Both the lady and my mom were very frightened, but my mom decided if Kitty didn't like it at our home she wouldn't make her stay. She did like it here. And she made it her home.

9. Does he/she get along with other dogs? I have never seen Kitty with a dog, but I would imagine no. We used to have another cat, and Kitty didn't like her at all.

10. Does he/she get along with strangers? No, she is very shy. If we have visitors, and they stay a long enough time, Kitty will venture out of her hiding spot because she is so curious to sniff the stranger, but she will be very careful.

11. How much does he/she weight? She is 16 lb!

12. Do you ever dress him/her up? no

13. Has he/she ever tried to run away? No, she always stayed in our yard when we let her outside.

14. How did you come up with his/her name? We were thinking of different names to call her, but I think because she was homeless for so long she only came to the name Kitty.

15. How much does he/she mean to you on a scale of 1-10? 11! She is like my sister. I love her so much, I don't know what I did without her.

Something else about Kitty: She is very talkative! She has all kinds of calls and meows she makes. Sometimes she yells. She acts like she knows what we are saying when we talk to her, and my mom swears she calls us each by a different name. She is especially noisy in the morning. When I am upstairs, and she is downstairs she will call up the stairs for me to come down to her.

Also, she likes to go on walks around the house. She will stop and wait for me to follow her and we will walk around the house together. She always goes to the same places. She likes for me to open closet doors for her and cabinets. She is very snoopy.

Pixiwoo Favorite Makeup Looks

I have been keeping track of all these different looks I liked on Youtube, but I haven't been trying them out or writing blog posts about them. The looks really piled up, and I wanted to figure out a way to organize them, rather than just call them "pretty looks." I noticed there were some makeup artists that I kept recording their looks, so I decided to put their looks under the same category. I've already done blog posts on AllThatGlitters21 and Samantha Schuerman. I wanted to do a post devoted to Pixiwoo. They have two makeup channels: http://www.youtube.com/user/pixiwoo and http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCn5_uZMdtmyCQl560TinbKQ which is called PixiwooMadness. I think that one is affiliated with a UK Magazine, but I may be wrong. The looks are quicker on this channel. And they use a lot of Avon products, I've noticed.

I really love these two sisters. They are amazing makeup artists. Sometimes they do looks that are a little too creative for what I would wear, but usually I copy them. I've learned so much from their videos. I remember when I first started watching them, I had a hard time understanding what they were saying because of their English accents! I find that so funny now because I don't have any trouble. It reminds me of when my mom took a train ride and was sitting by an English couple. She made friends with them and they talked with each other on the ride, but they kept asking each other to slow down and repeat what they were saying because my mom had trouble understanding them, and they had trouble understanding her! They were both speaking English, just different accents.

These are 10 looks that I like by the pixiwoo sisters. I'm not saying they are my all-time favorite looks by them. I still have a lot of looks by them to try out.

This is a list of the products I used a lot.

Concealer: Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer in Radiant (under eyes), Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer in Ivory (under browbone)
Eye Shadow Primer: Milani Eyeshadow Primer
Mascara: Maybelline Volum' Express Falsies Big Eyes Waterproof Mascara in Very Black (top and bottom lashes), Covergirl Lash Perfection in Very Black (2nd coat top lashes)
Face Primer: Milk of Magnesia, Pixi Flawless & Poreless Face Primer in Translucent
Foundation: Revlon Colorstay Foundation for Combination/Oily Skin in Ivory
Powder: Maybelline Dream Matte Powder in Light
Lip Balm: Maybelline Baby Lips in Quenched
Nude Eye Liner: Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal in Nude
Bronzer: Maybelline Dream Sun Bronzing Powder in Matte Light
Black Gel Liner: Essence Gel Liner in Midnight in Paris
Black Eye Liner: Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Zero

Here are the 10 Favorite Looks:

1. Get the Look Rosie Huntington Whiteley by PixiwooMadness http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSq65R9Cdmk
a. Foundation
b. Concealer
c. MAC Grain, eyelid: NYC Central Park for Green Eyes Palette, 1st color
d. MAC Carbon, outer corner of eyes slight flick up, upper lashes: Wet 'n Wild Greed, 3rd color
e. Mascara only on top lashes
f. Bronzer, hollows of cheeks, temples, jaw
g. MAC Half Red Lip Liner, all over lip: Wet 'n Wild Color Icon in Brandywine
h. Avon Lip Gloss in Nude Pout: Urban Decay Lip Junkie Lip Gloss in Midnight Cowboy
My Thoughts: There aren't a lot of products to use, so in that way it was simple. The flick is still difficult for me. When I first did it the eyes weren't the same. So I cleared one of the eyes and redid it. I made the eyeliner go out longer than necessary. Then, I used a q-tip with makeup remover to clean up everything up at an angle toward the end of my eyebrow. That way the flick was going even on both sides. Then I shortened the flick to make it just the length of my eyelashes. So it took a little while for me, but I got the flick in the end. I'm still practicing and learning how to do it.

3. Big Eyes Make-Up Tutorial by PixiwooMadness http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vrvpnpcbrcs

I think my eyes look pretty. For blush I'm going to wear pink because the eyes are warm. I'm going to use Physicians Formula Happy Booster Blush in Pink. For the lips I'm going to wear pink to match the blush. I'm wearing Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Pink Pop.

c. Same Palette, second color, crease: L'Oreal Hip Duo in Electrified, left side
d. Same Palette, third color, outside corner of crease: The Balm Rockstar Palette in Allegro
e. Blend it outwards to give more of a wing
f. Same Palette, third color, connect lash line to outside corner, see video (This was hard for me because my eye shape is different than the model's.)
g. Blend it out
h. Same Palette, lightest color, under brow
i. Black Gel Liner, upper lash line, tightline

My Thoughts: The look calls for all eye shadows to be matte, but I used a metallic taupe. It still looked good in the end. It's interesting that this is based on an older style of makeup because the look is modern. I guess trends come and go in makeup too. I wanted a pinky gold blush, so that's why I mixed Tickled Pink with Tiki.

m. Top Shop Blush in Flush: Maybelline Dream Mousse Blush in Peach Satin
n. MAC Lipstick in Pure Zen: Revlon Colorbust Lipstick in Soft Nude
o. Top Shop Glaze in Laid Back: Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Coral Reef
My Thoughts: I have different skin than her's, so I wear foundation and powder. A lot of times the Pixiwoo sisters don't wear powder because they have dry skin. They have said this in their videos. Sometimes they will powder through the t-zone. My skin is combination and acting oily this summer, so I need to wear a powder. This is a pretty look for the summer. It has color in it, but I don't feel like a clown. The coral lips and blue green eyes look pretty together.

h. Black Gel Eyeliner, tightline
i. Bronzer, cheeks, top of forehead, down the nose
j. Mascara
k. Powder
l. Bobbi Brown Lip Gloss in Pink Sunset: Revlon Colorburst Lip Gloss in Sunset Peach
My Thoughts: The gel liner doesn't stay on the tight line, but transfers onto the bottom waterline. I don't think it looks bad, I just noticed it. The eyes look bronzey and gold, and the lip gloss is so pretty. It is one of my favorites.

Pretty Makeup Looks 2013

I was looking at my blog for this year and I noticed I haven't done any "pretty makeup looks" this year. These are the looks that I like, but I'm not exactly sure how to categorize them, except that they are pretty looks. I have a long list of these looks because I haven't been doing them. There will probably be more of them to come. I find most of the looks on Youtube, but sometimes I see blog posts that have looks I want to try to do. I hope you like these looks!

e. Pat the mint green shadow on the inner half of the lid, top right eyeshadow in palette
f. Shimmery brown on the outer half of the lid and in the crease, 2nd column, third shadow down
g. Smudge the brown on the lower lash line
h. Just above the crease blend out the brown with the gold color, second column, third shadow down
i. Highlight under brow with the peach shade, first column, third shadow down
j. Black Liquid Liner, top lash line
k. Dark Green over the border of the liner, third column, bottom shadow
My Thoughts: The blush is very pigmented. I recommend using a stippling brush. The blush and lip color are pretty. The shadows are really pigmented. I'm surprised at how great of quality the makeup is! Don't forget mascara. This is a really pretty look. She wanted the eyes to look like the beach. I think she did a good job with that. The rest of the face looks natural and pretty. I also sprayed my face with Elf Makeup Mist & Set.

2. Korean Natural Makeup by bubzbeauty http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNiPFu_C7q4
a. Brush lips with toothbrush (to exfoliate)
b. Lip Balm
c. Face Primer
d. Foundation
e. Darker foundation for contour, jawline, hairline: I just used my bronzer.
f. Illuminating concealer, under eyes, on eyelids, down nose, use a fluffy brush to blend in concealer
g. Powder
h. Shu Uemura Cream Eyeshadow in P-Pink, eyelids: NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Strawberry Milk
i. Brown Gel Liner, tightline
j. Mascara on top lashes
k. Put a second coat of mascara only on the edges of lashes, to make the eyes look larger
l. Highlight on nose and above eyebrows, cheekbones, temples, smile and put the highlight under your eyes where they puff up, She used Laneige Fresh Modernist Blush Palette: I used Physicians Formula Mineral Glow Pearls in Translucent Pearl
m. Mascara on bottom lashes
n. Apply a warm blush. She used MAC Blush in Peaches: I used Elf Blush in Peachy Keen.
o. Apply lip tint. She used Etude House Kissful Tint Chou (4): I used Pixiglow Magic Tink Tint in Happy Thoughts Pink
My Thoughts: You don't have to be Korean to wear this makeup look. Anybody can wear this look to get a pretty, natural look. I had a problem with my makeup for this, but this is probably just a personal skin problem. I put eye primer on before the concealer, and I think that wasn't a good idea because my concealer was patchy on my eyelids. I also think it might have been because my concealer wasn't moisturizing enough around my nose and eyes. Maybe I should have put an eye cream on first. It tickles to put the gel eyeliner on the tight line, but it looks natural and makes your lashes look fuller without looking like you even have eyeliner on. I think the pink color looks good with my hazel eyes. I've said that before. I heard somewhere that pink is good if you have hazel eyes. Bubz has brown eyes and it looked pretty on her too. Peachy Keen is one of my favorite blushes. This is a pretty look.

r. YSL Rouge Volupte Lipstick #13 Peach Passion: Rimmel Lipstick in Crush
My Thoughts: I couldn't believe that this was her first makeup tutorial on Youtube! So I looked at all of her videos and sure enough she has never done one before. People have always asked her too, but she didn't want to for some reason. Maybe she was nervous. She has videos of her favorite makeup and fashion. She also has funny videos with her friends, but never a tutorial. I think she did an amazing job! I love this look! I hope she does more. She's a really pretty girl. I love her sense of style. The colors all go well together. I think this would look good on a lot of different skin tones and eye colors.

My Thoughts: I got to borrow my mom's Dior BB Cream and BB Eye Cream for this look! I didn't see a difference between this and the drugstore BB cream I normally wear. The BB Eye Cream seemed like my under eye concealer. This look is really pretty. I love Standoffish. I tried a new mascara, Jordana Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara in Black. It is a really good mascara.

n. Use any highlighter, top of cheekbones: Wet 'n Wild Fergie Centerstage Collection To Reflect Shimmer Palette in Rose Champagne Glow
o. Lancome Lipstick in Rich Cashmere: Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Creme Brûlée
My Thoughts: The eyes are brown and smokey. The cheeks are naturally flushed. I used a stippling brush because the blush is pigmented. My lips are nude and glossy. This is a pretty and easy look.

9. Affordable & Appropriate Early Teen Makeup! by ciaoobellaxo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jy9SboQhLow
a. Moisturizer

h. Black Gel Liner, upper lash line
i. Mascara
j. NYX Butter Gloss in Maple Blondie: NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Nude Peach
My Thoughts: The blush really does look like a flush on your cheeks. I know this says it's for early teens, but I liked the look so who cares I'm in my 30's! xD

10. Get Ready With Me! Bedroom Eyes! Too Faced Boudoir Eyes Palette! by TheBubbleGumPrincess  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2oC9bkHLgaY
a. BB Cream (I skipped this step.)

l. Same Palette, Voulez-vous, outer v: NYC Individual Eyes in Union Square, 4th color
m. Same Palette, Sugar Walls, with finger center of lids: Too Faced The Return of Sexy Palette in Icon
n. Same Palette, Voulez-vous, pencil brush, lower lash line: NYC Individual Eyes in Union Square, 4th color
o. Black Gel Liner, top lashes, wing, waterline (I didn't do a wing.)
p. Mascara
q. Too Faced La Creme Lipstick in Naked Dolly: Revlon Lipstick in Pink Pout
My Thoughts: I like this blush. It's really natural looking. I wasn't sure about the eyes at first, but after the eyeliner and mascara were one, I did decide that I liked it. The eyes look like bedroom eyes. I'm not used to having different colors in the crease, like put one color in the inner and outer crease and a different color in the middle. So it looked weird to me at first. In order to wear Pink Pout, you really need to make sure your lips are exfoliated and moisturized, otherwise the lipstick won't look good. It will just emphasize chapped lips because it's a matte lipstick.

I ♥ Summer TAG

This tag was created by missglamorazzi http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Qf3XH0eAi0. It looked like a fun tag to do, so I've decided to do it. I hope you do it too! If you have a blog, post it on your blog and link it in a comment down below! You can answer the questions and e-mail it to me (I'm looking at you people out there who know my e-mail address!) Or if you make Youtube videos, I tag you to do this tag video!

Favorite bronzer for summer? Maybelline Dream Sun Bronzing Powder in Matte Light. It is perfect and natural looking for my fair skin.

You're relaxing in a hammock, on a tropical island. What are you sipping on? (Favorite summer drink) Target Mango Smoothie

Favorite summer lip product? Revlon Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti, Prestige Skin Loving Minerals Lasting Moisture Lip Gloss in Soft Peach, Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Pink in the Afternoon. I have a lot of favorite lip products. It's hard for me to choose one.

Beach or pool? I love going to the beach. Oregon has beautiful beaches.

Summer = crazy hair! What's your must-have styling product? One 'n Only Argan Oil. I got this little sample with my flat iron. I put it in my hair when it is wet and comb thru. It helps my hair be smooth and shiny.

Sun bathing or fake tan? Neither. If I go sun bathing I end up with a sunburn. I'm scared to do fake tan because I don't know what to use that would look natural on me, since it's not even natural for me to tan. I get freckles.

Favorite summer nail polish? Essie Nail Polish in Tart Deco. I currently have them on my toes with a glitter top coat.

Any summer traditions? My family every year goes out into the country for the 4th of July and we have a family reunion with all my cousins and relatives. We have BBQ, and do fireworks in the evening.

Favorite summer scent? Body Fantasies Signature Fragrance Body Spray in Cotton Candy. I just learned about this scent last month. This is inexpensive. You can find it at Walgreens. It will make you feel happy!

Favorite BBQ food? Cheeseburgers!

What's your favorite summer-proof product? Jordana Incolor Fabuliner Liquid Eye Liner in Black. This will stay all day long. It will still be there at night when I remove my eye makeup!

Any summer vacation plans this year? No plans? Tell us about your dream summer trip! I think it would be fun to go to Disney World with my family and friends. There is also a water park, I don't know if it is in Disney World or next to it, that I have always wanted to go to.

♥ Nails Of The Week ♥

Happy 4th of July! This nail combination reminded me of fireworks.

Nicole by OPI Selena Gomez in Confetti Fun & China Glaze Nail Lacquer in For Audrey 625

The glitter has red, white, and blue in it, along with other colors. There are big shapes and small little dots. I think it looks good on top of the Tiffany blue color. This is my first time owning a rainbow polish. There are a lot of dupes for it. You don't need the Selena Gomez version. I think that is limited edition. For Audrey is in the permanent collection.

Summer Favorite Makeup Looks Part 4

I can't believe I'm already on part 4 of the summer favorite looks! It's good to know there are lot of good makeup tutorials on Youtube. I'm sure there are a ton that I'm not even aware of. I like having lots of ideas of how to wear makeup. It gives me something new to learn, and I get to know the things I like. It's interesting how there are certain colors I like and it doesn't matter what season it is, but then there are certain makeup looks or colors I like only for a certain season. When I first started wearing makeup I only wore the same eye shadow every single day, and the same blush, etc. It was good in that I got really good at doing the same look every day, so I could do it really fast for school in the morning. Now I am the complete opposite. I am always changing what I wear because I like to be creative. It is like being an artist on your face.

Sometimes I use the same products over and over again. In that case I will list them here. I don't use all of these products every time. I just may use a nude eye liner for a few looks and I will just say Nude Eye Liner. In that case I will use what I mention in this list. Also, this summer I'm having trouble finding the right foundation to wear, so my skin is happy. I am trying out different foundations, a bb cream, a tinted moisturizer, and a cc cream. I just list here some things I tried, but I'm still deciding which ones work the best for my skin. In the winter time I was really happy with Revlon Color Stay Foundation for dry skin, but now that the weather has changed my combination skin has changed too, and I need a different foundation. My concealers are still working good.

Concealer: Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer in Radiant (under eyes)
Bronzer: Maybelline Dream Sun Bronzing Powder in Matte Light
Eye Shadow Primer: Milani Eyeshadow Primer
Mascara: Maybelline The Rocket Volum' Express Waterproof in Very Black (top lashes), Covergirl Lash Perfection in Black (on top of first mascara), Maybelline Lash Discovery Mini-Brush Waterproof in Very Black (bottom lashes), Maybelline Volum' Express Falsies Big Eyes Waterproof Mascara in Very Black (it has a wand for upper and lower lashes)
Face Primer: Pixi Flawless & Poreless Face Primer in Translucent
Foundation: Rimmel Clean Finish Matte Foundation in Ivory, Revlon Colorstay Foundation for Combination/Oily Skin in Ivory, Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-In-Place Makeup SPF 10 in Desert Beige
Powder: (I change what powder I use.) Maybelline Dream Matte Powder in Light, Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Translucent
Lip Balm: Maybelline Baby Lips in Quenched
Setting Spray: Urban Decay De-slick Oil-Control Makeup Setting Spray
Tinted Moisturizer: Elf Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 in Porcelain
Black Liquid Liner: Jordana Incolor Fabuliner Liquid Eye Liner in Black
Black Eye Liner: Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Zero
Nude Eye Liner: Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal in Nude
BB Cream: Physicians Formula Super BB Cream in Light/Medium
CC Cream: Almay Smart Shade CC Cream SPF 35 in Light

These are all looks I've already tried out and I recommend them. They are mostly Youtube makeup tutorials that I have copied to the best of my ability. If I don't have the makeup product the artist uses, I use my own that is similar. A lot of times I use a cheaper product.

1. Neutral & Pink for Summer + Hair and Nails by ThatsHeart http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=orvwnvat-lY
a. Foundation
b. Concealer
c. Powder
d. Eye Primer
e. Too Faced Natural Palette, Push-up, eyelid: Elf Baked Eye Shadow in Toasted
f. Same Palette, Cocoa Puff, crease: Maybelline Eye Studio in Natural Shock, 4th color
g. Clean brush to blend it out.
h. Gel Liner in Purple, upper lash line, little wing: Physicians Formula for Hazel Eyes Gel Eye Liner in Purple
i. Mascara
j. Light Brown Eye Shadow, lower lash line: Wet 'n Wild Vanity, 2nd color
k. Bronzer, hollows of cheeks, forehead, jawline, neck
l. NYX Mosaic Blush in Dare: Bare Minerals Blush in Joyous Jennifer
m. Starlooks Lip Pencil in Tipsy, line and fill in lips: L'Oreal Infallible Never Fail Lip Liner in Coral
n. Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Pink in the Afternoon
My Thoughts: The color in the crease is very pigmented. A little goes a long way. Watch the video to see how she does the wing. She makes it look so easy! I try to do it like her, but I fail. :( Maybe I look better without the wing. I like to do the lower lash line makeup before I put on mascara on the lower lash line. That way it doesn't smudge. Pink in the Afternoon is one of my all time favorite lipsticks.

2. Summer Eyes Using Wet 'n Wild by emilynoel83 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tjOBDyNp-No
a. Eyelid Primer
b. Wet 'n Wild I'm Getting Sunburned, eyelid color, on the eyelid

d. Same Palette, crease color, on the crease
e. Clean Brush, buff out edges
f. Same Palette, browbone color, on the brow bone
g. NYX Slide On Liner in Pink Suede, lower lash line: Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Woodstock
h. Wet 'n Wild I'm Getting Sunburned, browbone color, lower lash line
i. Same Palette, crease color, outer part of lid, blending into the crease, outer lower lash line
j. Black Liquid Liner, upper lash line
k. Black Eye Liner, waterline
l. Mascara
m. Bronzer contour around face
n. The Balm Frat Boy Blush: The Balm Rockstar Palette in Don't You Want Me?
o. Benefit Sun Beam, top of cheekbones: Hard Candy Glow Away in Maui, bronzer side
p. NYX Lip Liner in Beige: Boots No.7 Line and Define Lip Liner in Nude
q. L'Oreal Le Gloss in Nude Illusion: Urban Decay Lip Junkie Lip Gloss in Midnight Cowboy
My Thoughts: I wasn't sure how I would like the hot pink liner on my lower lash line. When I got that Woodstock liner in a beauty box, I thought for sure I would never use it. But the color from the I'm Getting Sunburned palette makes it look a little more purple, which is more wearable for me. I think the pink makes my hazel eyes look green. I think it's cool when my eyes do that. The eyelid color is so pretty! This would be a pretty eye for the fall. The look is really pretty.

3. Waterproof Drugstore Makeup Tutorial by ForeverYours0727 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZaDuUJuD3Q
a. BB Cream
b. L'Oreal 24 HR Infallible Eye Shadow in Amber Rush, eyelid, crease, and lower lash line
c. Black Eye Liner, upper lash line, wing (I didn't do the wing.)
d. Mascara, top lashes
e. L'Oreal 24 HR Infallible Eye Shadow in Bottomless Java, lower lash line: Wet 'n Wild Comfort Zone, 3rd color
f. Concealer
g. Powder
h. Bronzer, cheekbones, nose, chin
i. Nyx Stick Blush in Tea Rose
j. Ulta Automatic Lip Liner in Bloom, line and fill in lips, blot it: Prestige Lip Liner in Baby
k. Revlon Color Stay Kissable Balm Stain in Crush: Elf Jumbo Lip Gloss in Movie Star
My Thoughts: The colors in this tutorial are so pretty, from the eyes to the cheeks to the lips. I've never thought of putting these makeup items together, but it looks good! That's why I love getting ideas from the internet. I also sprayed the Urban Decay De-Slick Oil-Control Makeup Setting Spray, so I'm interested to see how long this makeup wears. I thought this would be a good tutorial for the summer because if it is waterproof, then that means it's sweat proof too. The lip liner is one of my favorites.

4. 10 Steps to Long Lasting Summer Makeup (Heat/Sweat & Waterproof) by DivaMakeupQueen http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZEPs5FLuwI

e. Bronzer, hollows of cheeks, jaw, temples
f. Ofra Golden Bronze on cheeks, forehead, chin: Wet 'n Wild Fergie Center Stage Collection in Rose Golden Goddess
g. Jordana Color Tint Blush Stick in Blushed: L'Oreal Visible Lift Color Lift Blush in Coral Lift
h. Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Magic: Bare Minerals Blush in Joyous Jennifer
i. Put powder on lids first
j. Eye Shadow Primer
k. Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze, eyelid
l. NYX Bronze Smokey Look Kit, middle right color, eyelid: Wet 'n Wild Fergie Center Stage Collection Photo OP Eyeshadow in Newport Nights, middle color
m. Same Palette, middle left color, outer corner, into the crease just a little bit: Elf Beauty Book Cruella in Sewage
n. Same Palette, middle color, brow bone: Maybelline Enchanted Forest, eyelid color
o. Same Palette, bottom left color, outer v: Physicians Formula Canyon Classics, bottom left color
p. Same Palette, middle left color, lower lash line: Elf Beauty Book Cruella in Sewage
q. Brown Eye Liner, lower lash line
r. Same Palette, middle left color, lower lash line (again)
s. Black Eye Liner, upper lash line
t. Same Palette, bottom left color on top of upper lash line: Physicians Formula Canyon Classics, bottom left color
u. Mascara
v. Lip Balm, blot lips
w. Milani Lip Liner in All Natural, line and fill it in, blot lips: Boots No.7 Lip Liner in Nude
x. Milani Lipstick in Nude Creme
y. Elf Lip Gloss, nude: Bonne Bell Lip Lites in Cappuccino
z. Urban Decay All Nighter Spray, arms length away
My Thoughts: The L'Oreal Visible Lift in Coral Lift is really pretty. This is my first time using it. The Newport Nights middle color looks really pretty on top of Bad to the Bronze. It seems strange to use a shadow on the lower lash line, then layer it with brown eye liner, and then put the shadow on top of that. But Wing (the makeup artist for this tutorial) said this will ensure the makeup will last longer. This look might be a lot of makeup to wear on a hot, summer day. The eyes are very smoldering. The look reminds me of a Victoria Secret model look.

5. Aqua Eyes for Summer w/New BH Cosmetics Malibu Palette by samanthaschuerman http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZ3AzEfjIhM

f. Same Palette, right side, 2nd column, 1st color, sea foam green, use finger and tap into center: L.A. Colors Eye Shadows in Water Lily, left color
g. Same Palette, left side, 2nd column, 1st color, brighter aqua, lower lash line: Elf 32 Eyeshadows Brights Palette, 1st shade, 2nd row
h. Nude Eye Liner, waterline
i. Mascara
j. Foundation
k. Concealer
l. Bronzer
m. NYX Blush in Mauve: Covergirl Cheekers Blush in Soft Sable
n. L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Strawberry Blonde to highlight
o. Star Looks Lip Liner in Bare: Boots No.7 Lip Liner in Nude
p. Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Lipstick in Be Free: Revlon Lipstick in Pink Pout
q. Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Lip Gloss in Show Off: Prestige Skin Loving Minerals Lasting Moisture Lip Gloss in Soft Peach
My Thoughts: I heard somewhere that aqua is a good color for hazel eyes. I think it also looks good with red hair. I think the nude in the waterline looks pretty with the aqua. The cheek color looks good with the aqua too. I don't really like Pink Pout on my lips, but it looks good when I put a peach gloss on the top. I really like this look! It is perfect for the summertime! I might wear this look for the 4th of July.

6. Spring/Summer Makeup Get Ready with Me by voussontbeauetbelle http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u0RULowMccA
a. Curl Lashes
b. Elf Mascara Primer (I don't have a mascara primer.)
c. Mascara
d. BB Cream
e. Concealer
f. Powder
g. Black Liquid Liner, upper lash line, wing (I didn't do a wing.)
h. Nude Eyeliner, waterline
i. Top Shop Eyeliner in Slate, lower lash line: Revlon Color Stay Eye Liner in Charcoal

m. Top Shop Lipstick in Saint: Revlon Lipstick in Pink Pout
n. Elf Mist & Set
My Thoughts: This look is really easy, and it looks so natural. I love it! I didn't know if it would look good on me because she doesn't put any eyeshadow on, but it looks good because of the black liquid liner. I waited to put mascara on my lower lashes until after concealer, nude liner on the waterline, and charcoal on the lower lash line. I don't mention voussontbeauetbelle very much on my blog, but she is a really cute girl to watch. I love her videos.

m. Urban Decay Baked Eyeliner, waterline: Elf Shimmer Eyeliner Pencil in Boldly Bronzed
n. MAC Lip Glass in Ablaze: Revlon Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti
My Thoughts: The blush combo is really pretty. Maybe wait to do your lower lash mascara until after you put the eyeliner on the lower lashes. This look is really pretty on warm toned colored people. There is coral on the eyes, cheeks, and lips. It looks really pretty once you are done with the whole look. It is also very summer appropriate.

July Empties!

So I know July just started, but I have been collecting 10 products for my next empties post and today I reached the 10th product. It just happens to be the beginning of July. Two of the products I hit pan on, but I wanted to include them before I used them all up. And one of the products is a sample size that I didn't use up because I didn't like it. I wanted to include it, so I would remember not to repurchase it.

1. Secret Invisible Solid pH Balanced in Clean Lavender Scent: I love this scent! The solid deodorant is my favorite kind. The clear kind doesn't work for me. I don't know why. I like getting different scents, rather than the same boring ones. I found two together on sale at Walmart, so I did repurchase this.

2. Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup SPF 10 in Shell: I loved this foundation. This is the old formula. It kept my skin from looking shiny. It's good for oily skin. It has full coverage. I tried to repurchase this, but they changed the formula! It isn't as matte as it used to be. I'm not happy with the new formula. I got a sample from the counter. Also, the color names are all different, so I had to be rematched. The lady didn't do a good job and gave me a foundation that was too dark for me. That's disappointing because now I have to find a new foundation.

3. Aveeno Smart Essentials Daily Nourishing Moisturizer SPF 30: This stuff lasts a long time. I love this! I have several backups in case I run out. It has UVA/UVB protection. It is oil-free, hypoallergenic, and noncomedogenic. It has an antioxidant called southernwood extract. So, it seems like it's really good for the skin, and I've been using it for a long time. My skin looks and feels good. I also like the way it smells.

4. Victoria Secret Body Wash in Such A Flirt: This is a sweet smelling body wash. There wasn't very much in the container though. It is only 8.4 oz. It costs $10. I feel like you can get better deals at the drugstore, and body washes that are better quantity and quality. I don't think I'm going to repurchase this. I already have body washes I need to use before I buy a new one. The packaging is really pretty. That is the thing that sold me. I think Victoria Secret products are so pretty. It didn't last very long though.

5. Maybelline Dream Matte Powder in Light: I hit pan. I love this stuff. It gives a matte finish like it says. I like that it is compact rather than loose powder. I would repurchase this when I am out.

6. Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Transparent: I hit pan on this too. I also love this powder. It gives a matte finish like the name says. I go back and forth between these two powders. I'm not sure which one I like better. I would repurchase this.

7. Maybelline The Rocket Volum' Express Mascara Waterproof in Very Black: I loved this mascara! It gave my lashes volume. I would repurchase this. I recommend it. I didn't repurchase it because I like to try out new mascaras. I have heard people say the regular kind is better than the waterproof kind. I haven't tried the regular kind. I prefer to use waterproof mascaras because they hold the curl better and they don't smudge.

8. Freeman Facial Clay Mask Avocado & Oatmeal: On the front it says it deep cleans & purifies pores. On the back it says, "Rich clays dive deep to purge dirt and oils from pores. Nutrient-rich Vitamin E, Avocado and Oatmeal moisturize for lasting skin softness. Skin looks and feels squeaky clean and is soft to the touch. Perfect for normal to combination skin." I agree with everything it says. I would buy the regular container. This was just a sample. I got a bunch of Freeman samples for my mom (and me) on Mother's Day. So you can expect to see them in future empties posts.

9. Freeman Facial Clay Mask Mint & Lemon: On the front it says it is deep pore cleansing. This is for people with oily skin. I have combination skin, and it has been oily lately. This left my skin feeling really dry. The sides of my nose stung! I only used this once. It was too intense for my skin. I'm not going to buy this again.

10. Bvlgari Omnia Crystalline Perfume: I got this little perfume sample I think from a Birchbox. The scent is just ok to me. It is a little too "spicy" (if that makes any sense). I wouldn't purchase it. Sephora says the notes are "bamboo, nashi, lotus flower, and balsa wood." They say the style is "airy, radiant, and feminine." It doesn't smell airy to me. It is more of a heavy smell. I wouldn't describe it as being radiant or feminine either. It smells sort of woodsy to me. It's not a horrible smell. I just prefer other perfumes.
