June Birchbox

I love the color of the box! It reminds me of the beach.

The card inside says, "Adventure is a state of mind. It's about exploring the unknown, dreaming beyond the horizon, and letting go of the word "no." What's on your list? Scuba diving with sharks? Sleeping under the stays (hey, your backyard counts)? Here's to adventures big and small, near and far." There is a giveaway. They give you a code. I got a 10% off a $50 purchase at the Birchbox store.

1. Amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo: "Weightless spray that refreshes sans residue, in the brand's signature obliphica scent." I don't use a dry shampoo. I will have to try this out.

2. Coola SPF 50 Sport - Mango: "Sweat-proof, water-resistant sunscreen made with organic botanics (and a fun, fruity scent)." This does smell good! I will have to try this out. My skin is sensitive to sunscreen.

3. Emi Jay Hair Tie: "We've added in this chic hair tie from Emi Jay for all your summer 'dos." It is a golden hair tie with a little bow in the back. I'll have to try this out when I do my hair.

4. Marcelle BB Cream Golden Glow: "This multitasked, rich in antioxidants and aloe, covers imperfections, evens tone, and calms skin." It looks a little darker than my skin. I'll have to try this out.

5. Bliss Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Mask: "This foamy formula is packed with oxygen and antioxidants for brighter, younger-looking skin." I love getting these masks to try out.

6. Marcelle Waterproof Eyeliner: "This blendable waterproof eyeliner goes on smoothly and stays put all day." This is in the color Blue Lagoon. I think it is pretty. It's nice to wear a natural eye with a pop of color on the lower lash line.

I got that pink box in the mail today! I still get excited when I see it has come. I also enjoy making these posts, so I think I get excited about that too.

I think I'm going to fill out this tweet. To be honest I never know how to do the hash tag thing. I'm not an expert twitter person.

1. Beauty Protector Protect & Detangle

The card says, "Great for all hair types, this nourishing elixir locks in color, adds shine, and instantly detangles." Full-size $21.95 I actually just washed my hair, so I'm going to try this out right now. Wow on the bottle it makes a lot of claims: "instant detangler, thermal protector, uv protector, seals cuticle, smoothes hair, locks in color, adds shine, weightless, non-greasy, conditions, for all hair types, use daily." I like the packaging. I've never heard of it. It smells really good. It is a lotion texture. It wouldn't squirt out of the bottle, so I had to open it up. It seems like a regular leave-in conditioner to me.

2. Coola Classic Face SPF 30 Cucumber Moisturizer for Face

The card says, "This mineral sunblock is infused with organic anti aging ingredients like evening primrose extract and borage seed oil." Full-size $32 This looks nice. I already have a facial sunscreen with SPF 30 that I wear everyday. I think I'll give this to a friend.

3. Joie Folle de Joie eau de parfum

The card says, "For its debut scent, the chic fashion brand created this carefree mix of mandarin, rose, and sandalwood." Full-size, $98 This smells beautiful! I love rose scents.

4. Sumita Color Contrast Eyeliner

The card says, "Inspired by traditional Indian formulas, this velvety liner glides on easily and lasts for hours." Set of 4 mini pencils, $21 This pencil is very pigmented. I'm impressed. It also is practically tattooed on my hand now! It won't smudge off.

5. Birchbox Finds: Acroball PureWhite hybrid ink pen

On the back it has a code to enter for a chance to win a trip to New York Fashion Week, and a coupon for $1 off a pack of the pens.

Inside the box the pen was already opened, so I don't like that just in case the ink dried out. It's a hot pink color. The grip feels nice. And the ink wasn't dried out. It just seems like an ordinary pen to me.

I don't feel that enthusiastic about anything I got in the Birchbox this month. It's just nice to get something in the mail, and I like making these blog posts.
