June Favorites

1. Real Techniques Deluxe Crease Brush. It comes with several brushes in Your Eyes/Enhanced Starter Set with purple handles. I like this to help blend out my concealer.

2. Elf Mineral Infused Face Primer: I have tried a lot of primers. This is a good one and it is cheap.

3. Neutrogena Ultimate Sport Sunblock Lotion SPF 70. I've been using this on my face, and I haven't gotten a sunburn on my face yet! That is saying a lot because I went to the beach and I always get sunburns even when I wear SPF.

4. Elf Zit Zapper: I haven't been getting pimples, but sometimes I will get one and I use this and the pimple quickly goes away.

5. Posh Brush Cleaner: When I want to quickly clean a brush, all I have to do is squirt this on it and clean off the brush with a paper towel. I keep this on my makeup table. It's really handy.

6. Philosophy Body Lotion in Fresh Peaches with Cream. This stuff smells so good. It smells just like peaches. I love it. And the lotion is very moisturizing. I like to massage my feet with it.

7. Got2b Oil-licious Styling Oil: I use this when I'm having one of those hair days where I put my hair up in a pony tail and I have poofy hair all over my head. Really my hair has a mind of it's own. So I take my hair down, take a little bit of this oil and smooth my hair out on the top and brush it into a pony tail again. Now my hair is all in place and I don't look like a freakazoid. xD

Those are all my favorites of the month. I didn't have many. I tried out a lot of different stuff. I have so much makeup, it is pretty ridiculous. I also got my first pedicure. I felt sorry for the lady who did it. My feet were so gross. I gave her a big tip. She put on a pretty bronze color on them that lasted most of the month. It was pretty and went with my rose gold flip flops. I also got a french manicure. It was really pretty, and it was my first time doing that. It looked good while it lasted. I mention these because they were my favorites of the month too even though I have no pictures. I won't go once a week to the salon, but I definitely will go again. It was relaxing.

June Birchbox

Yay, I got my Birchbox in the mail today!

1. When you take the top off this is what you see. This is what the card says, "Hi there, Blame the school calendar, but every June we still get giddy about dusting off our suitcases and planning an itinerary. And even when we can't hop on a plane, train, or automobile, we're getting our fix in other ways - transporting films, glossy mags, and of course travel-friendly beauty products. This month's box is devoted to products that will indulge your inner jet setter, from hardy formulas that can last though out a long-haul flight to important finds that we've picked up on our global adventures. For starters, we're introducing you to one of our carry-on staples: an ultra-flattering stain for cheeks and lips. Hop online to watch videos of these products in action, find out about the latest trends, and get inspired for your next trip."

2. This is what it looked like underneath the card. So exciting!

3. What?! A product for a man? No way! Well, it is Father's Day on Sunday so I guess I could give my dad a little present. This is what the card says, "Birchbox Man Extra: John Varvatos Star USA: In honor of Father's Day, we've included this dapper cologne, a blend of ginger, juniper berries, and vetiver. Pass it on to a lucky guy friend or family member." I don't know if my dad likes it. He just keeps saying "Ewww!" because it said Eu de toilet on the sample. e.e

4. "Lifestyle Extra: tili bags: Breeze through airport security with these too-cute plastic bags. They're perfectly sized for storing all your travel essentials (and beauty samples)." I may use this when I go to the beach this summer.

5. "Masqueology Pore Minimizing Mask: This targeted sheet mask shrinks visible pores while amping up your skin's moisture levels. Use it daily and - if you're brave - during your next flight." This looks so cool. I'm definitely trying it. I love masks where you get to peel it off.

6. "Comodynes Self-Tanning Intensive: Who needs the sun when you can get a safe, build able, and natural-looking tan with these bestselling European towelettes?" I have to admit I'm sort of scared to self-tan because I'm afraid of looking orange or messing it up some how. I guess it wouldn't hurt just to try. I'm glad they gave two samples.

7. "theBalm cosmetics Stainiac in Beauty Queen: We're crazy about this two-in-one lip and cheek stain: the sheer gel formula delivers a subtle, long-wearing flush." I heard about this! I'm exited I got this. I need to try it out before I go on vacation. This would be perfect to bring on a trip. It's long lasting and I wouldn't need to bring two different makeup items.

8. stila one step bronze: Fake an island glow with this three-in-one bronzer, primer, and serum. It also keeps your skin's oil production in check." I don't know how I feel about this. I like the brand. I don't know how it will look on me. I'm so fair, I'm afraid bronzer looks weird on me.

I'm happy about the box. I feel like an experimenter or explorer trying out these new items.

Pretty Makeup Looks Part VI

So I'm doing another pretty looks blog. I don't know if anyone reads these or finds them useful, but I might go back and use them myself if I want a new look that I know will be pretty. There are so many looks on Youtube. Sometimes it's hard to find ones that are good tutorials. And for me, I want a look that will end up looking good on me if I copy the steps. But that is subjective. What I think looks good on me, may not look good on everyone. I think also I learn from actually doing the tutorials, not just watching them. I guess that's the kind of learner I am. Sometimes the look is tricky and I watch the tutorial as I do my own makeup. This happens sometimes with the eyeliner looks. I'm still learning how to do that stupid flick/wing!

1. Prom Makeup by pixiwoo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NgwXqpjxt0
a. Revlon Illuminance Creme Shadow in Not Just Nudes, 1st shade all over eye
b. L'Oreal Infallible 24 HR Eyeshadow in Amber Rush, on lid and lower lash line

f. Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso as a blush
g. Boots No.7 Lip Liner in Nude color in whole lip
h. Revlon Lipstick in Rosy Nude
i. Revlon Lipgloss in Rosegold
My Thoughts: This is a perfect look for a redhead. I applied the l'oreal eyeshadow with my finger. It went on better that way. I don't understand why she had two eye liner colors.

2. Burberry Model Inspired Makeup for my Casting by amodelrecommends http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZP6lx3rtLAc

b. Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner in Lionfish, lower lash line
c. Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso
d. Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti
My Thoughts Again, I like her looks because I own a lot of what she uses. I didn't use an eyeshadow to get rid of the lip shine like she did. I like the way the lips look as is. This was really easy. I think I have followed another tutorial for the Megan Fox Cosmo cover. I may have even used it for one of my pretty looks. I like this tutorial better. I love the Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti. I'm going to bring it to the beach with me.

June Glam Bag

This month's glam bag is a glittery, golden bag. I don't like the texture of it. I don't think I would ever carry this around with me.

Inside the bag the first thing I pulled out was this Marbella Permanent Eyeliner Pen. The card says, "Master the art of beautiful eyes with this unique waterproof, smudge free, and long-lasting semi-permanent eyeliner pen." I normally use brown liquid liners if I use them at all, so I'm probably not going to use this.

This is Living Proof (crossed out frizz) Nourishing Styling Cream. The card says, "Stops frizz in its tracks, keeping all styles frizz-free, soft and smooth. Living Proof's miracle molecule, OFPMA, conquers frizz by blocking humidity without silicone or heavy oils." This is something I will try. I have frizzy hair so I need products like this.

This is Philosophy Take A Deep Breath Oil-Free Energizing Oxygen Gel Cream Moisturizer. The card says, "This lightweight moisturizer detoxifies and helps protect for a healthy-looking glow." On the bottle it says it protects your skin from environmental factors such as sun, smog, and pollution. I like the brand, and I wouldn't mind trying this.

The last product is NYX Round Lipstick in Orange Soda. The card says, "Incredible color that resists wear and smudging, let your lipstick last all night with an amazing velvety smooth, mineral formula." I like this brand. I don't know if the color looks good on me. I will try it out.

Mall Haul

I was kind of feeling bad today, and I decided to get a pedicure. I have never had one done before. It was so nice! I sat in a massage chair and it was so relaxing.

I went to T.J. Max and found some Philosophy things on sale.

This is Peaches with Cream shampoo, shower gel, & bubble bath, lip gloss, and body lotion.

This is the Lime Coconut, Pineapple Coconut, and Orange Coconut shampoo, shower gel & bubble bath.

I found this really cute little bag with containers for traveling and it came with Hello Kitty labels!

After getting my pedicure, I went to Forever 21 to look at their jewelry. I was in heaven! They had the cutest stuff there! I have seen people on YouTube get cute things from that store, but I had never been there myself. This is what I got. In total it cost $20.20!

This is hard to see. It is a leaf with an amber jewel next to it.

These are cute cupcakes. With fake diamonds on top and light pink gems as frosting.

This is a golden butterfly necklace.

I love the white roses on the bottom.

These are a bunch of bracelets. I love the color.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my haul! Take care everyone!

Pretty Makeup Looks Part V

I'm back with my pretty makeup looks. If you would like to see the first four parts they are in March. I've decided this time around I want to list the look, where to find the tutorial, and then list what I used as a substitution for certain makeup products. Quite often I used an inexpensive product where in the actual tutorial the makeup was more expensive. Sometimes I used a different product just because I didn't have the same thing they had, and I wanted to use my own stuff. I think all these tutorials are pretty easy, especially if you have good brushes. I recently purchased the Sigma Mrs. Bunny brush collection. I also have Real Technique brushes I got at Fred Meyers. I like Eco Tools which you can get a drugstores and Elf brushes.

My Thoughts: I think it looks pretty. The lips are a new look for me, but it looks good. I feel like I need a blush though. I'm using Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso because it is my favorite blush.

If you try any of these looks, please leave a comment. I'm curious what other people think. Did you like the tutorials? Did you use your own makeup? What did you use to copy the looks? When I looked to copy I would figure out the color they were using, sometimes you can see it, they describe it, or you can google it and find a reviewer that tells you what the color is. Then you can find the match in your own collection. I think it's kind of fun. It also gives me ideas of how to do my makeup.

Collective Summer Haul

I'm eagerly awaiting the beginning of Summer. I think it is my favorite season. These past few weeks I've gone shopping and have collected some things in preparation for the hot season and a trip to the beach that is coming up.

1. I found this beach towel at Fred Meyers. Isn't it so cool?! They had a lot of different ones and I wanted to buy them all because they had such cool designs. It's brand is HD Designs Outdoors. It's a 100% cotton beach towel.

2. I recently had an eye appointment, and got a new prescription. I decided to get some sunglasses. These are Bebe. I love the design across the top and the sides.

3. I found this beach bag at Fred Meyers too. I just like the colors. It's brand is "Life is a Beach!"

4. Isn't this a cute sun hat?! I love the little white flower on the back. I thought this would look pretty to wear on the beach. I'm really pale so it's probably best for me to wear a hat or else I'll get sunburned. I got this at Fred Meyers the brand is August.

5. I think these flip flops are so beautiful. They are rose gold with jewels on the top. I found these at Target. The brand is Mossimo. They don't have a lot of cushion though, so they hurt the feet after a little while of wearing them.

6. I hear a trend that is popular right now is "arm candy." I thought I would look around at the jewelry department and see if I could find something I would wear. I found these pretty bracelets at Fred Meyers. The brand is GNW and they are nickel free which is really good for me because my skin is sensitive to jewelry on my arms or ears.

7. I got this bracelet from Fashion Bug. It was on sale. It has a draw string. I thought it would look cute with an outfit with jeans. I wear casual clothing all the time so I wanted casual types of jewelry.

8. These are anklets from Fashion Bug. I normally don't wear anklets, but I thought these were so cute. I love the one with brown beads and a white rose.

9. I got a bunch of shorts and capris at Fashion Bug too. These are just plain jean shorts with a cute belt.

10. These are some cute light wash jean capris. The brand is Zanadi. It has a white belt with silver studs. I like the designs on the back pockets. It's a stretchy material which makes them feel comfortable.

11. Here are some dark wash jean shorts. They are also by the brand Zanadi. They have a black belt with gold, black, and clear jewels on it. They have a cute design on the back pockets too.

12. These are Zanadi jean capris with a black belt a clear jewels on it. They have holes in them which is just ok to me. I tried to find ones with no holes in my size, but I couldn't find any. I guess ripped jeans are fashionable. I just feel they may be a little too casual for work. I only have 10 more days of work before vacation! Woohoo!

13. Can you tell that turquoise is my favorite color? They had cute t-shirts at Fashion Bug too. I liked the front cut out at the top of these. They feel so light weight and perfect for a hot day.

I hope you enjoyed my haul. Did you go shopping for the Summer season? What did you get?
