Summer Favorite Makeup Looks Part 5

Just when I thought the summer makeup looks had come to an end, I find more looks! The summer looks were starting to dwindle, so I thought people were over it, but I guess they are still being inspired. I love it because summer is different from the other seasons because it is so dang hot and you have to do your makeup completely different. I need all the help I can get!

I have learned if you have trouble being too oily it helps to get Milk of Magnesia (you can get it from the Dollar Store) and use a cotton ball to wipe it on your face before doing makeup. It will help keep your face from getting too oily. It is a good trick. It also helps to get a foundation that is for oily skin or combination. I had this, but the Milk of Magnesia was the trick I needed. Also, a matte powder is good.

This is the makeup I used with a lot of these looks.

Concealer: Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer in Radiant (under eyes), Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer in Ivory (under eyes)
Bronzer: Maybelline Dream Sun Bronzing Powder in Matte Light
Eye Shadow Primer: Milani Eyeshadow Primer
Mascara: Maybelline Volum' Express Falsies Big Eyes Waterproof Mascara in Very Black (top and bottom lashes), Covergirl Lash Perfection in Very Black (second layer of top lashes)
Black Eye Liner: Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Zero
Face Primer: Milk of Magnesia, Pixi Flawless & Poreless Face Primer in Translucent
Foundation: Revlon Colorstay Foundation for Combination/Oily Skin in Ivory, Boots No.7 Beautifully Matte Foundation in Cool Ivory
Powder: Maybelline Dream Matte Powder in Light
Lip Balm: Maybelline Baby Lips in Quenched
Setting Spray: Urban Decay All Nighter Spray
Nude Eye Liner: Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal in Nude
Black Liquid Liner: Jordana Incolor Fabuliner Liquid Eye Liner in Black

These are the newest summer makeup looks I have adapted and copied for myself. The link is to the actual Youtube tutorial the person made of the look on themselves. My notes are what I did on my face and how I thought it looked on me. I only post looks on my blog that I personally liked on myself and would recommend to someone else.

1. Get Ready With Me: Summer Look with New Products! by emilynoel83 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTI_lfnvWkE
a. CC Cream
b. Concealer
c. Powder
d. Bronzer, temples, hollows of cheeks, jaw, neck
e. Stila Mango Crush Lip & Cheek Stain on her lips and cheeks: Sonia Kashuk Beautifying Blush in Sunset
f. Korres Lip Butter in Pomegranate: Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Lovers Coral
g. Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze, eyelid
h. Maybelline Color Tattoo Pure Pigments in Buff & Tough, eyelid, crease: Sephora Cinderella Palette in Drizella
i. Maybelline Color Tattoo Pure Pigments in Barely Brazen, under brow, inner corner: Wet 'n Wild Trio in Fauna, browbone color
j. Black Eye Liner, top lash line
k. Mascara
My Thoughts: Some people just want to use a bb cream or cc cream or a tinted moisturizer for the summertime. I want more coverage than that, and I want to be more matte. My new favorite blush is Sonia Kashuk's Sunset and I love the Lovers Coral Lipstick. These are new products for me. Drizella is a really beautiful eye shadow. It goes well on top of Bad to the Bronze.

2. Wearable Summer Gold Makeup by beeisforbeeauty http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9IRCWpsKKDI
a. MAC Eye Pencil in Copper, bottom half of eyelid: Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Eyeliner Trio in Warm Nude Eyes, copper
b. Urban Decay Half Baked, upper half of eyelid: left color in L'Oreal Hip Duo in Dynamic
c. Urban Decay Bootycall, under eyebrow, inner corner: Wet 'n Wild Lust, 4th color
d. Bare Minerals Diamond Body Powder in Bronze, outer 1/3 of upper and lower lash lines: Wet 'n Wild Newport Nights, middle color
e. Mascara
f. Bronze Shimmer Highlight, on cheeks and sides of eyes: Wet 'n Wild Fergie Centerstage Collection in Rose Golden Goddess
g. Bare Minerals Flawless Radiance highlighter, top of cheekbones
h. Stila Lip Pencil in Adorable, fill in lips: L'Oreal Infallible Never Fail Lip Liner in Coral
i. MAC Lip Gloss in Lady Gaga 2: Nyx Lip Gloss in Frosted Beige
j. Coral Blush (She didn't say what.): Sonia Kashuk Beautifying Blush in Sunset
My Thoughts: It's a lot of products on the cheeks, but in the end it looks pretty, so it all comes together.

3. Summer Makeup: How to Look GLOWING but not SHINY! by AModelRecommends http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fpbp4y8iFas
a. Tinted Moisturizer
b. Concealer
c. Lighting Powder, all over face: Wet 'n Wild Reserve Your Cabana
d. Bronzer, cheeks, sides of eyes, temples
e. Kiko Color Shock Long Lasting Eye Shadow in shade 4, eyelid: Revlon Illuminance Creme Shadows in Va Va Va Bloom, 1st shade
f. Mascara
g. Kiko Kiss Balm in Cherry: Revlon Lip Butter in Lollipop
My Thoughts: I was surprised, but Reserve Your Cabana was a little darker than my skin color! I should have used Physicians Formula Happy Booster Glow & Mood Boosting Powder in Translucent because that would give an all over glow without adding any color. If you have darker skin coloring than me, then Reserve Your Cabana might work. You just want to find a powder that matches your skin coloring that will give you a glow. The Va Va Va Bloom color is really pretty. This look is so easy.

4. Heatproof Make-Up Tips - Summer in the City Tutorial by Lisa Eldridge http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iQr4iizyv0U
a. Mattifying Moisturizer, nose, chin, forehead
b. Foundation
c. Concealer
d. Maybelline Color Tattoo in Permanent Taupe: The US equivalent is Maybelline Color Tattoo in Tough as Taupe.
e. Khaki Color Eye Liner, upper lash line, lower lash line, waterline, blend with a q-tip top and bottom: Milani Liquid Eye in Green
f. Mascara
g. Cream Bronzer, under cheekbones, temples, hairline, neck, nose
h. Daniel Sandler Waterproof Blusher: NYX Rouge Cream Blush in Glow
i. Maybelline Super Stay 14 HR Lipstick in Stay With Me Coral, blot with a tissue: Wet 'n Wild Mega Last Lip Color in Pinkerbell
j. Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick 3D Super Color Volume Lip Shine in Fuchsia-ristic: Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Pink Pop
My Thoughts: I don't have a mattifying moisturizer, so I used Milk of Magnesia. That has been working well with oil control. I don't have a khaki eye liner, so I used green. I think the green looks pretty. I'm not sure I like that liner though because it is supposed to be retractable, but it isn't working and you can't sharpen it. It is brand new too. I didn't use a cream bronzer because my cream bronzers are either too dark or too gold. I just used my usual powder bronzer. She doesn't use a powder, but I need one to cut down on my shine. I like this look. I hope it lasts in this heat! Later...it did do a good job in the heat!

5. How To: Flawless Golden Glow by samanthaschuerman http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a4_d1WJeTkQ
a. Physicians Formula BB Cream Concealer
b. Physicians Formula BB Powder
c. Bronzer, hollows of cheeks a little bit higher, temples
d. Physicians Formula Sexy Booster Sexy Glow Blush in Rose
e. Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Shadow & Liner Nude Collection in Warm Nudes, top color, under brow, inner corner
f. Same Palette, top two colors, top of cheekbones, nose, cupid's bow
g. Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Eyeliner Trio Nude Collection in Warm Nude, Copper Liner, eyelid, blend it out with finger
h. Same Palette, 3rd one from bottom, eyelid
i. Same Palette, 5th one from bottom, crease
j. Same Palette, 4th color, inner 1/3 with a fluffy brush and into the crease, lower lash line, take finger and pop it in the center of lid
k. Same Palette, 2nd color, use finger and put it on top of the gold in the center of the lid
l. From the same Eyeliner Trio, Bronze Eyeliner, upper lash line, waterline
m. Same Palette, bottom shade, go over liner
n. Mascara
o. Physicians Formula pH Matchmaker pH Powered Lip Gloss in Pink
My Thoughts: I need more matte foundation in this summer heat, so I'm skipping on the BB cream, and I don't have a BB concealer or BB powder, so I'm just using what I normally use. This tutorial inspired me to go out and buy some of the products she used. I normally like to stick with what I have, and I feel guilty when I buy new things. I feel happy with these purchases. The blush is so beautiful. It has a pink high heal shoe on the front! And it smells like vanilla! The packaging is so cute. I love this blush! I got the eye shadow palette too. I have gotten Physicians Formula eye shadow palettes before, and I am really happy with them. The packaging on this is so cute, too. It has black lace and a peach bow. The colors are so beautiful and suit me very well. The highlight is really pretty. I used a fluffy eye shadow brush. I got the eyeliners she used, and I'm really happy with them. It comes with a copper, bronze, and a black. They are really great quality liners, and they come with built in sharpeners. The copper liner matches my hair color. I got the lip gloss also. It has cool packaging too. It has a mirror along the side, so you can use it when you put on the lip gloss. On the top it has a button you can push and turn on a light! So if it is dark it would help you see to put on the gloss. This lip gloss is so cool because it changes colors. It says to the right color for you on your lips. It's based on pH, I honestly don't understand how it works, but the color it turned on my lips was pretty. Sorry I wrote so much for this look! This is one of my favorite summer time looks. I think Samantha Schuerman is really talented, and she seems sweet too.

6. Tutorial: Summery Pinks and Greens by Grete Link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=riRMbzCHPRc
a. NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk, eyelid, under brow, tearduct, lower lash line
b. Wet 'n Wild Lust, 4th color, tearduct
c. Wet 'n Wild Petal Pusher, 1st color, tearduct
d. MAC Pigment in Cheers My Dear! wet brush, eyelid: Maybelline Eye Studio Color Explosion Amethyst Ablazed, left color
e. Bourjois Metallic Eyeliner in 55 Vert Pepite, lower lash line: Jesse's Girl Kohl Formula Eye Liner in Emerald City
f. Wet 'n Wild Greed, 2nd color, crease
g. Wet 'n Wild Lust, 4th color, browbone
h. Peggy Sage matte purple eyeshadow, outer part of eyelid and crease: Wet 'n Wild Lust, 2nd color
i. Wet 'n Wild Lust, 6th color, wet brush, upper lash line
j. Mascara
k. Foundation
l. Powder
m. Concealer
n. Bronzer, hollows of cheeks, temples, cheeks
o. Elf Glossy Gloss in Pink Candy: Bonnebell Lip Lites in Strawberry Parfait
My Thoughts: I put the eye makeup on first before my foundation routine, and I was a little scared at how I looked. But when you put on the mascara and the rest of your face makeup the eye makeup looks a lot better. I love Bonnebell lip glosses! They smell good, look good, and they're cheap! They feel really good on the lips. I don't talk a lot about Grete Link, but she does amazing tutorials. She doesn't have a lot of subscribers, but she is absolutely gorgeous and talented. I love her. I like how she uses Wet 'n Wild products. She is from Estonia, so sometimes she uses products that aren't available here (at least where I live), but you can still dupe them.

7. Get Ready with Me & OOTD: California Casual by cosmetic couturier http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-eQ0jFskyLw
a. Eye Primer
b. Foundation, and on the eyelids
c. Concealer
d. Stila All Over Shimmer in Kitten Shimmer, cheekbones, above eyebrows, browbone: The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer
e. Bronzer, hollows of cheeks, temples, hair line
f. Too Faced Sweet Pea Cheek and Lip Cream: Nyx Rouge Cream Blush in Natural
g. Powder
h. Lush Breath of Fresh Air Toner: Urban Decay All Nighter Spray
i. Nude Liner in waterline
j. Illamasqua Blush in Tweak: Sonia Kashuk Beautifying Blush in Flushed
k. Wet 'n Wild Fergie To Reflect Shimmer Palette in Rose Champagne Glow, top of cheekbones
l. Black Liquid Liner, upper lash line, wing
m. Mascara
n. Gabriel Lipstick in Sheer Pink: Wet 'n Wild Megashield Lip Color SPF 15 in It's A Girl
My Thoughts: Be careful with Flushed blush. I put too much on by accident. I would use a stippling brush if I could put it on again. There isn't any eye shadow in this look, so it is important to put foundation on the lids and do a black liner. It makes your eyes stand out without having eye shadow on. The lipstick It's A Girl is really pretty and is a great summertime color. This look is mainly about face products. I love it.

8. 2 in 1 Summer Makeup & Hair Tutorial by xteeener http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GY2CJOKJ2yY
a. Foundation
b. Concealer
c. Powder
d. Eye Primer
e. Sigma Down Play Eye Liner, eyelid, 2/3 of outer lower lash line: Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Eyeliner Trio in Warm Nude Eyes, copper eye liner
f. Sigma Drift Eye Liner, inner 1/3 of lower lash line, inner part of lid: Elf Eye Liner in Gold
g. Sigma Balance Eye Liner, outer v area, outer 1/3 of lower lash line, inner waterline: Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal in Brown
h. Elf Get the Look Beach Beauty 28 Piece Day Palette, 2nd color, inner 1/3 of lower lash line and inner corner of lid
i. Same Palette, 2 colors below 2nd color, center of eyelid
j. Same Palette, top bronzer, crease
k. Black Eye Liner, upper lash line, faintly smudge black 1/2 way outer lower lash line
l. Mascara
m. Same Palette, top bronzer, cheeks, jaw, hair line, sides of nose
n. Same Palette, peach blush
o. Same Palette, 2nd color below brow bone, top of cheekbones, sides of eyes, down the nose, cupid's bow
p. Concealer over lips
q. Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Rosy Nude
My Thoughts: The brown liner in the outer v looks weird on me. I don't think I did it right, so I'm rewatching the video. I'm not sure why it looks good on her, but weird on me. I'm going to have to remove it. It doesn't look bad on the lower lash line. Now I'm going to reapply the eyelid color. I think it is because her brown liner was lighter than mine. The top bronzer is a good shade for me. I'm surprised because usually bronzers are too dark for me, but this is a good shade. It isn't orange. It looks like a natural tan. The blush is really pretty. I really love the lipstick. I like how I had a lot of the same products she used. The look is pretty, especially for a warm toned person.

I hope you enjoy these makeup looks. What makeup have you been wearing this summer? Leave a comment below!

Favorite Fall Looks Part 3

I found some more Fall/Autumn looks on Youtube that I tried and liked. I hope you like them too! I kept track of what the makeup artist used and what I used from my collection of makeup to copy them. I also found looks off of Covergirl's website. Every season they have three looks by makeup artist Pat McGrath. I like to copy them.

1. Enchanted Plum Fall Makeup Tutorial by xeverygirlx http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M38m2OlCG6M
a. Maybelline Tattoo in Barely Beige from lashes to brow and lower lash line
b. Elf Baked Eyeshadow in Enchanted on lids: I used Physicians Formula Brown Eye Candy, 7th shade
c. Elf Baked Eyeshadow in Toasted on outer corner and crease: I used Physicians Formula Brown Eye Candy, 3rd shade
d. Elf Baked Eyeshadow in Burn Plum on outer 1/3 and outer crease: I used L'Oreal HIP in Electrified, right side
e. NYX Super Skinny Eye Marker on upper lashes: I used a black liquid liner.
f. Mascara
g. Elf Baked Blush in Rich Rose as a blush: I used Milani Baked Blush in Coralina
h. Elf Baked Blush in Passion Pink as a highlight on top of cheekbones: I used Wet 'n Wild Ultimate Minerals Loose Blush in Barely Peach
i. Mac Lipstick in Plumful: I used Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Sugar Plum

2. October Favorites by LoveMelisaMichelle http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzCEqVMkQjw
She mentions her lip combo she is wearing and I happen to have both products. It looked good on her, so I decided to try it out. She has on Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Fig Jam, and then on top of that she is wearing Revlon Lip Gloss in Rosegold. Her eye makeup is very natural. I wore Wet 'n Wild Walking on Eggshells eyelid, crease, and brow bone colors. For blush I wore L'Oreal True Match Super-Blendable Blush in Bare Honey. I ended up loving this look.

3. Covergirl Fall 2012 Looks "Browhaus: Give that no-makeup-makeup look a modern edge with bold brows and dewy skin." http://www.covergirl.com/makeup-look/makeup-trends/browhaus
a. Covergirl and Olay Tone Rehab 2-in-1 Foundation: I used my own foundation.
b. Covergirl Brow & Eyemakers Pencil in the shade that matches your eyebrows: My eyebrows are already dark so I skipped this step.
c. Covergirl Intense Shadow Blast in Beige Blaze under brows: I used Maybelline Tattoo in Barely Beige
d. Covergirl 1-Kit Shadow in Tapestry Taupe on lids and lower lash line
e. Covergirl Wetslicks Fruit Spritzers in Caramel Apple Splash: I used Bonnebell Liplites in Cappuccino
My Thoughts: It doesn't say about blush, so I used Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso because it is my favorite blush. This is a really simple, pretty look.

4. Covergirl Fall 2012 Looks "Gypsy Smoke: Add some old-world beauty to the classic smoky eye." http://www.covergirl.com/makeup-look/makeup-trends/gypsy-smoke
a. Covergirl and Olay Tone Rehab 2-in-1 Foundation: I used my own foundation.
b. Covergirl Brow & Eyemakers Pencil in the shade that matches your eyebrows: My eyebrows are already dark so I skipped this step.
c. Covergirl Liquiline Blast Eyeliner in Brown Blaze to line upper and lower lash lines. Use the smudger tip to create a soft, blended line.
d. Covergirl Eye Enhancers 1-Kit Shadow in Brown Smolder on lids: I used Wet 'n Wild Sweet As Candy, brown shade
e. Covergirl Eye Enhancers 1-Kit Shadow in Swiss Chocolate to the crease and lower lash line
f. Use a clean brush to blend it out.
g. Mascara
h. Covergirl LipPerfection Lipcolor in Darling: I used Revlon Lipstick in Pink in the Afternoon
My Thoughts: It doesn't say a blush, so again I used Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso. I really love the Revlon lipstick. It is one of my favorites. This is a pretty, flattering look.

5. Covergirl Fall 2012 Looks "Velvet Vixen: Warm, soft, and oh-so luxurious, try a look that turns up the heat as the weather gets cool." http://www.covergirl.com/makeup-look/makeup-trends/velvet-vixen
a. Covergirl and Olay Tone Rehab 2-in-1 Foundation: I used my own foundation.
b. Covergirl Eye Enhancers 1-Kit Shadow in Tapestry Taupe on lids
c. Mascara
d. Covergirl Blast Flipstick Lipcolor in Vixen. Apply the burgundy cream shade to the lips, starting at the center and working outward toward the edges. Next, apply the mauve shimmer shade to the center of the lip only. Use the pad of your finger to blend the two shades together, keeping the shimmer shade concentrated in the center of the lip. I decided to buy this because I didn't have either lip color. I'm glad I did.
My Thoughts: The lip is bold. Wearing the lighter shade in the middle does make my lips look fuller! It is a cool effect. And the eyes are subdued so it doesn't look like I'm wearing too much makeup. I like it. I put Covergirl Cheekers Rose Silk Blush with it.

6. Fall Makeup: An Easy Way to Wear Colours by Grete Link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XVxi8awGRNk
a. NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk under eye brow, lid, lower lash line: I used Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Cottage Cheese
b. Orange on lid and lower lash line: I used Wet 'n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Trio in Flora
c. Mac Omega blend out the orange in crease: i used Wet 'n Wild Vanity, 2nd color
d. Mac Dazzlelight under brow: I used lightest color in Maybelline Enchanted Forest
e. Light Champagne color from an Elf palette in the tear duct and inner corner: I used Wet 'n Wild Baked, Not Fried, middle right color
f. Bourjois Metallic Eyeliner in 55 upper lash line with a wing and outer corner of lower lash line: I used Jesse's Girl Kohl Formula Eye Liner in Emerald City
g. Black Gel Liner, same as above and waterline
h. Mascara
i. Powder
j. Lip Balm
k. Sleek Contour Kit in Light, hollows of cheeks bronzer, highlight top of cheekbones and cupid's bow: I used Mac Pressed Studio Careblend in Medium Deep and The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer
l. Peggy Sage Blush in Rose Satin: I used Covergirl Blush in Rose Silk
m. NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Tokyo: I used Revlon Pink in the Afternoon Lipstick
My Thoughts: At first I wasn't sure about the eyes. I normally don't like orange on the lids with green eye liner, but when I finished the whole face it did come together for me. It is different, but I think it's pretty.

h. Mac Wedge crease and outer half of lower lash lines: I used Wet 'n Wild Vanity, 2nd
i. Mac Soft Brown, crease: I used Maybelline Sunbaked Neutrals, 2nd shade
j. Black Liquid Liner with a wing
k. Mascara
l. Different choices for lipsticks: Mac's Diva, Dark Side, or Rebel: I used Revlon Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie
My Thoughts: I like this look. I chose to use the lip butter, so it wasn't as bold a lip as she did, but I feel more comfortable wearing it.

9. Easy Fall/Autumn Makeup Look by PixiwooMadness http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q2DWCLQO12k

g. Powder
h. Avon Russet Color Blush: I used L'Oreal True Match Blush in Bare Honey
i. Clinique Chubby Stick in Broadest Berry: I used Studio Gear Complete Color Lipstick in Mocha Berry

f. Chocoholic, pencil brush, outer corner, little bit into crease, 1/2 of lower lash line
g. Doll House on the lower lash line inner corner: I used Elf Beauty Book Bright Eye Edition, yellow color
h. Obscure in the crease: I used Covergirl Tapestry Taupe
i. Inglot 351 under brows: I used Wet 'n Wild Vanity, 1st color
j. Doll House under brows: I skipped this step.
k. Urban Decay 24/7 Liner in Lucky on the waterline: I used Wet 'n Wild Eye Liner in Copper
l. Foundation
m. Mac Embark in the outer corner of the crease: I used Wet 'n Wild Vanity, 3rd shade
n. Bronzer on temples, hollows of cheeks, and jaw
o. Tarte Exposed Blush: I used Rimmel London Lasting Finish Mauve Cool
p. Gratobian Lip Liner in Natural: I used Boots No.7 in Nude
q. Hour Glass Lipstick in Grace: I used Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Creme Brûlée
r. Mascara
My Thoughts: This is really pretty. I don't have the same kind of metallic eyeshadows like she used, but it still ended up looking good. I think it brings out the green in my hazel eyes. I know I've mentioned that before, but I just really appreciate when an eyeshadow look does that.

Here is another 10 pretty makeup looks I found on Youtube that I have tried and want to share with you how I wore the look. I have forgotten to mention in other pretty makeup look blogs that I don't wear false eyelashes. So when a look has called for them, I just skip that step.

Summer Makeup Looks Part II

These are a bunch of looks I've found on Youtube that I've recreated and have liked this summer. If you want to see part 1 it is under my June blogs. I just say where I found the look and any products I used to substitute for makeup the original person used. Also, I don't include foundation, concealer, primer, mascara, brows, bronzer, powder, gel liner, liquid liner, or lip balm. I just figure we all use our own stuff anyway, unless we are looking to purchase something new and we want to try out what someone on youtube is using. I hope this is helpful. I know there are a lot of summer looks out there and it's nice to know the ones that end up looking nice.

1. My Everyday Summer Makeup Tutorial by beautycrush http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RyKpFjYKFpo

My Thoughts: There were some steps I would skip. After she put the gold on her lower lash line and set it with a shadow, I would skip what she did up to when she highlighted her inner eye corners.

7. Lipstick: Maybelline Color Sensational Porcelains in Nude Nuances
8. Lip Gloss: Revlon Peach Petals Lip Gloss
My Thoughts: I had to smooth the lipstick and gloss out a bit with my finger on my lips. It goes on a bit thick.

c. Tightline: Milani Liquif'eye Metallic Eye Liner Pencil in Brown
d. Waterline: Pixi Eye Bright Liner in Nude
e. Blush: Bare Minerals Blush in Kiss
f. Highlight: Hard Candy So Baked Bronzer in tiki
My Thoughts: I need to be careful when putting concealer on my lids because there are areas where I have a weird eye reaction. I don't know if it is because my eyes are really dry in some spots. I found that my Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Dark Circle Roller Concealer worked best on my lids. Maybe because it had more moisture than my other concealer. I like this look. It looks natural and pretty.

Pretty Makeup Looks Part VI

So I'm doing another pretty looks blog. I don't know if anyone reads these or finds them useful, but I might go back and use them myself if I want a new look that I know will be pretty. There are so many looks on Youtube. Sometimes it's hard to find ones that are good tutorials. And for me, I want a look that will end up looking good on me if I copy the steps. But that is subjective. What I think looks good on me, may not look good on everyone. I think also I learn from actually doing the tutorials, not just watching them. I guess that's the kind of learner I am. Sometimes the look is tricky and I watch the tutorial as I do my own makeup. This happens sometimes with the eyeliner looks. I'm still learning how to do that stupid flick/wing!

1. Prom Makeup by pixiwoo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NgwXqpjxt0
a. Revlon Illuminance Creme Shadow in Not Just Nudes, 1st shade all over eye
b. L'Oreal Infallible 24 HR Eyeshadow in Amber Rush, on lid and lower lash line
c. NYC Individual Eyes Union Square 3rd color, lash line slightly pull upwards and outer corner of eye
d. Maybelline Eye Studio Color Explosion in Forest Fury, gold shimmery color, on lid
e. Wet 'n Wild Vanity Palette, 3rd color, along upper lash line and outer corner of lower lash line
f. Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso as a blush
g. Boots No.7 Lip Liner in Nude color in whole lip
h. Revlon Lipstick in Rosy Nude
i. Revlon Lipgloss in Rosegold
My Thoughts: This is a perfect look for a redhead. I applied the l'oreal eyeshadow with my finger. It went on better that way. I don't understand why she had two eye liner colors.

2. Burberry Model Inspired Makeup for my Casting by amodelrecommends http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZP6lx3rtLAc
a. Wet 'n Wild 8-Pan Palette in Comfort Zone, 4th color, along lash line, underneath lashes, blending into the socket for a wash of color
b. Wet 'n Wild Bronzer Everything Under the Sun
c. Milani Crystal Gloss in Summer Baby
d. Milani Illuminating Face Powder in Amber Nectar in the t-zone
My Thoughts: I like this look. It's different for me, but it looks good.

3. Face4Less: Kim Kardashian Inspired Makeup...Neutral and Lots of Lashes! by MissBecky0207 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VDHOSRCdT58

c. Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen in No.9 Oyster Glow, waterline
d. Milani Baked Blush in Dolce Pink
e. Boots No.7 Lip Liner in Nude, fill in entire lip

4. Minka Kelly Glowing Makeup Tutorial with the Naked Palette by ChloeMorello http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22OULrQmJrg

b. Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner in Lionfish, lower lash line
c. Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso
d. Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti
My Thoughts Again, I like her looks because I own a lot of what she uses. I didn't use an eyeshadow to get rid of the lip shine like she did. I like the way the lips look as is. This was really easy. I think I have followed another tutorial for the Megan Fox Cosmo cover. I may have even used it for one of my pretty looks. I like this tutorial better. I love the Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti. I'm going to bring it to the beach with me.

7. Bronzy, Glowy Skin - Gold & Brown Eyes - Coral Lips by lovemelisamichelle http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=za4lbOTafOs

f. Wet 'n Wild Bronzer in Everything Under the Sun, all around the face
g. Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick in Coral Carnation

Pretty Makeup Looks Part V

I'm back with my pretty makeup looks. If you would like to see the first four parts they are in March. I've decided this time around I want to list the look, where to find the tutorial, and then list what I used as a substitution for certain makeup products. Quite often I used an inexpensive product where in the actual tutorial the makeup was more expensive. Sometimes I used a different product just because I didn't have the same thing they had, and I wanted to use my own stuff. I think all these tutorials are pretty easy, especially if you have good brushes. I recently purchased the Sigma Mrs. Bunny brush collection. I also have Real Technique brushes I got at Fred Meyers. I like Eco Tools which you can get a drugstores and Elf brushes.

d. Elf Eyeshadow Quad in Day 2 Night, 2nd color under eyes

My Thoughts: It's a dark eye look, but it's pretty. It brings out the green in hazel eyes.

If you try any of these looks, please leave a comment. I'm curious what other people think. Did you like the tutorials? Did you use your own makeup? What did you use to copy the looks? When I looked to copy I would figure out the color they were using, sometimes you can see it, they describe it, or you can google it and find a reviewer that tells you what the color is. Then you can find the match in your own collection. I think it's kind of fun. It also gives me ideas of how to do my makeup.

Spring Look #11: Dior

This look is by AModelRecommends http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jO67B_vYjyk I love her. She has a great sense of humor, style, and she is beautiful. A lot of times she uses very expensive products or products that can only be found in the UK, so I have to dupe her looks. I like how she does everyday sort of wearable looks.

1. Concealer
2. Powder
3. Mascara
4. Dior 5 Colour Palette in Navy, two lightest colors mixed: Maybelline Eye Studio Color Explosion in Blue Blowout, the two lightest colors
5. Bottom right eyeliner in Dior palette: Revlon Illuminance Creme Shadows in Moonlit Jewels, 4th shade
6. Black Eye Pencil: You can use black. I prefer a brownish black.
7. Daniel Sandler Creme Blusher in Hot Pink: Nyx Rouge Cream Blush in Natural
8. Estee Lauder Topaz Chameleon: Milani Illuminating Face Powder in Hermosa Rose
9. Dior Addict Extreme Lipstick in Incognito: Revlon Lip Butter in Creme Brulee

My Thoughts: This is my first time wearing blue shadow and I think it looks good on me! It looks retro, but the dark blue on the lower lashes looks cool with the light blue. Also, the rest of the face is really natural so it doesn't over power the eye look.

Autumn Look Duping Avon

Today I copied a look originally done by AModelRecommends in her "Autumn Collection: Makeup Megamix 2 YouTube video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jah_U41Hn5A. She shows new products from different brands and puts looks together. I don't have any Avon products, but I found a way to copy the look she did when she was showing her Avon products. I wanted to share this with you. It turned out to look very pretty, especially with my coloring.

1. Avon Blush in Earthen Rose = I used L'Oreal True Match Super Blendable Blush in Bare Honey.

2. Avon Quad in Glitz and Glamour (She used the golden shade on her lids.) = I used Milani Baked Eyeshadow in Drenched in Gold.

3. Avon Supershock Shadow Pencil in Cream Dream/Chocolate Melt (She used the brown side to line her eyes, and the champagne side to color her inner tear ducts, under brows, and above the cupids bow.) = For the brown side I used Covergirl Liquiline Blast in Brown Blaze and Palladio Shadow & Liner Herbal Crayon in Champagne for the lighter color.

4. Avon Plump Pout Lip Gloss in Brown Sugar (She didn't list this in the below bar, so I'm not sure if this is the correct name. I tried to find this online, but couldn't so I don't think this is the correct name.) = I used Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Brown Sugar.

I'm sad that Autumn is almost over. I love the makeup looks that come with Autumn, they suit my coloring very well.

Duping Estee Lauder's Modern Mercury

One of my favorite Beauty Gurus on Youtube is A Model Recommends. She often times will show looks using brand new collections of very expensive makeup like Estee Lauder or Nars. She recently did a fall tutorial using Estee Lauder's new fall collection called "Modern Mercury." This is my cheapy dupe of it.
Here is the tutorial first of all: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KkzFiuERILI

1. First, she uses Estee Lauder Eyeshadow Duo in Platinums. She takes the white sparkly color from her lashes to her brows. I used my Wet 'n Wild Color Icon Palette in Pride, the 4th white sparkly color.

2. Next, she takes the darker color from the Estee Lauder Eyeshadow Duo in Modern Mercury. This is a gray color. She uses a fluffy brush to put it from her lashes to her brows. I copied this by using my Elf 32 eyeshadow palette in Brights that has a gray color 4th on the bottom row. I didn't know if this would look good on me. Of course I think everything looks good on her because she is a model. This actually did look pretty on me.

3. Then, she used Estee Lauder Pure Color Illuminating Powder Gelee under her brow as a highlight and buffed it on the top of her cheekbones with her fingertips. I used Elf Shimmering Facial Whip in Lilac Petal.

4. After that she used Estee Lauder Eyeshadow Duo in Moons. I couldn't find that on their website. It maybe something just in the UK or perhaps she made a mistake. In the collection there is a Duo called Black Chrome that comes with a black matte color. This may be the shade she's referring to. She used this as an eyeliner doing a top flick at the end and also lining her lower lashes with it. I used my matte black in Wet 'n Wild Color Icon Palette in Greed, the 3rd color.

5. For her lipstick she used Estee Lauder Pure Color Lipstick in Nude Velvet. This is a peachy tone, matte color. It didn't make her lips look dead or concealed. It was just a pretty, neutral color on her. I used my Victoria Secret Smooth FX Lip Scrub & Balm to prep my lips. Then I lined and filled my lips in with No.7 Line & Define Lip Pencil in 20 Nude. You could use any nude lipliner.

6. For everything else I'm sure she used the regular face products and mascara. She didn't mention anything specifically. I just used what I normally use. I didn't wear any blush.
