Summer Makeup Looks!

These are Summertime makeup looks I have found and tried out. To me summer looks are bright on the lips and maybe a pop of color on the eyes. The cheeks can be bronzy or on the coral side. Some looks are more natural when you don't want to look like you are wearing a lot of makeup. I hope you like these looks as much as I did!

I tried to not leave out my notes about what color, consistency, whether shimmery or matte, undertones, etc of the makeup that I used to help me figure out if I had a similar product in my own makeup. That way you can find your own dupes even if you don't have the same as me.

My Thoughts: All the colors go really well together. I never thought to pair the copper color with the burgundy or the copper with the bright coral. I just put the Bombshell blush on all the high points of my face, my cheeks, nose, forehead, and chin.

My Thoughts: For blush I wore Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso because I felt like I needed color on my cheeks. I don't remember if she had blush on, but she didn't talk about it in the tutorial.

My Thoughts: The lips are very dark, but it doesn't look bad to me. The eyes are a basic neutral with a black wing, The cheeks are neutral with a gold highlight. This is a glamorous look.

My Thoughts: This is a really pretty eye look. I love Amber Rush. For cheeks I wore the natural Rimmel Mauve Cool, and for lips I wore the mlbb Wet 'n Wild Rose to Fame.

My Thoughts: The eyeshadow quad is not very pigmented, but it is nice if you want a very natural eye look. The blush is also very natural. The lips are a little darker than my natural lip color. They are a brown/nude.

My Thoughts: The eyes are very natural. The cheeks are a brownish color. It looks good with the eyes. The lipstick I used is red orange, and it doesn't look vampy. I'm not into the vampy look. Overall, with the lipstick I used, this look reminds me of a look from the 50's. It is really pretty.

My Thoughts: The eyeshadow look is so pretty with my hair color and my eye color. The cheeks are peach. The lips are a pigmented reddish plum. I'm not sure about the lips. It is more color than I'm used to wearing. But overall the look is beautiful. It is glamorous.

My Thoughts: The Eternal Sunshine on Bold Gold is so pretty! It just looks like bright gold on the eyelid. And it looks pretty with the black next to it because it makes the gold stand out even more. I had trouble getting the Bold Gold on my waterline. The eyes look pretty. I like gold eyes for the holidays. I like this look, except she didn't say any blush. I added a little blush. My favorite blush is Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso.

My Thoughts: I don't know why doing the liner is so hard for me. She makes it look so easy. I made one line thicker than the other, and when I put it on the lower lash line, one line was darker than the other. I tried to fix that by putting more liner on the lighter one, but that made it really dark and thick, so I had to go back and use makeup remover. Then I tried to fix the top line which was too thick in the inner corner, now I have to redo that part because it looks weird having no liner at all. I want my makeup to look nice today because I'm doing my cousin's makeup for the first time, and I don't want my makeup to look bad. I'm going back and redoing the High Maintenance color on the lid because that was removed with the eye makeup. I used Peach Parfait because I think it looks better on me than Lollipop, and the eyes are so dramatic. I wish I was better at doing liner. I still need to practice. This is an old holiday look.

My Thoughts: I really like Movie Star because it is the perfect shade of red for me. It looks like an old time Hollywood actress red lip color. I wish they had it in a matte version. This look is so pretty with gold on the lids, natural peach cheeks, and beautiful red lips. This is what I think of, when I think of a holiday type of look. Lisa Eldridge is one of my favorite makeup artists. I feel so lucky to have found her on Youtube. We can get advice from her for free! It is so amazing.

My Thoughts: This is the most rose gold look I've seen so far using the Naked 3. I really like it. A lot of the Naked 3 looks, look pink or magenta to me, even though they say it is a rose gold palette. I think the Lorac Unzipped is more rose gold. My dupes are really pretty. I don't feel bad that I don't have the Naked 3 because I feel like my dupes are spot on. The cheeks are pink even though it says peach. The lips are a wearable red. I really like this look. I don't feel like I'm wearing too much makeup, but I still feel "Christmasy." I'm wearing this on Christmas Eve.

My Thoughts: I didn't do a wing because I always mess it up. I know I need to practice, but I'm not in the mood to practice today. I just did the black liquid liner as close to my lashes as possible. The eyes look pretty. They are brown and smoky. I got this lip gloss in either a Birchbox or an IPSY bag. I forget. It is full size, and I love it! I don't own any red lip gloss that is so pigmented and creamy like this. I hope I don't look like I have too much makeup on. This is Christmas Day, and I'm going to be with family. It is a very glamorous look. This may be a little "too much" for a casual gathering. I would look nice for a fancy holiday party. My Thoughts: I like how she uses the burgundy eye shadow to line her eyes, so it just a little bit of color. This color looks good with hazel eyes. The blush isn't berry. It is a warm coral/peach color with golden shimmer. I love the Milani Baked Blushes. The lips are mauve/pink. I think the lips are the focus of the look. This look is really easy.

Fall Makeup Looks Part 4

I am still doing the fall looks! I don't remember how much I did last year. I went and looked, and I only had 3 parts. I'm going to have a lot this year. I want to try out fall looks until December. I don't remember liking the Holiday looks that much. Usually, the looks are supposed to be for parties and it's a little too much makeup for the day time. Also, people like to use a lot of glitter and bright red lips. I might do a series on my Stila In the Garden Palette instead. There are a lot of new palettes that come out during the holidays, so I may do blog posts on duping the new palettes. I love finding makeup looks on Youtube that I like and then duping them and writing blog posts on them. I don't know if people like reading them, as much as I like doing the whole process. It's nice to know that you can find cheaper alternatives to expensive things.

My Thoughts: This is a really beautiful look. This is one of my favorite fall looks I've tried so far. The eyes are cranberry and I would say the cheeks and lips are peach. The Pink Frost lip gloss makes your lips look frosty. It's a new look for me, but I like it. I feel like I'm from the 60's or something! Also, if you do a wing, you will feel very retro. I found a great video on how to do winged eyeliner for hooded eyes. It has taught me a lot, and I think I'm better at it. I know how often I complained about being bad at it. My Thoughts: This look is really pretty. It is true there is a lot of gold and green with gold sparkles on the eye. The cheeks are a natural looking mauve, and the lips are rose gold. My Thoughts: The coral from the Elf Clutch isn't as pigmented as Maybelline's Coral Oasis. I want to get that palette. It's in the permanent line. The eyes remind me of the previous look. My Thoughts: I don't understand why she puts the brown on the upper lash line, when we already put it on the eyelid, and she's going to put a liner on the upper lash line anyway. I skipped that part. I will go over the black liner with the brown. I like the eyes. They are dark and smokey with fall colors. The Maui Wowie and the Sparkle 'Til Morning shades give it a sparkle. It's not too sparkly. It just looks pretty. This is my first time using Jordana's Twist & Shine Moisturizing Balm Stain, and I really like it. It feels really good on the lips. The Honey Love color looks natural. The cheeks are peachy. The lips are a medium-dark, neutral and glossy look.

My Thoughts: The eyes are dark purple, and smokey. The cheeks and lips are pink. I tried to do a wing. I tried to make them even, but they aren't. Last night I watched a Youtube video by TheCurrentCustom and she has really beautiful winged eyeliner. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9gOErt0fMl4. I also really like how the Victoria Secret models do they're winged liner. I think it looks really good if it is done right. Be careful not to get the crease color too close to the inner eye because when the area is lighter in the inner part it opens up your eye more. It looks better that way, at least on my eye shape. I have almond eyes, and they are hooded. I had to go back a lot with this look and take makeup remover and do the wing over. I also removed the eye shadow that was in the inner crease. This look was hard for me. I actually got complimented this day at work on my eyeliner!

My Thoughts: This should have been easy, but maybe I'm in a bad makeup mood. I found it hard to blend out the shadows in the crease. I don't know if it was the shadows or the primer, or maybe my brushes don't work well. It might be that I'm being overly negative. I watched the video as I did this because I was having issues and AllThatFresh doesn't seem to have any problem applying the makeup, and blending things out. I don't know what the problem is. Maybe I used too much product. I like the makeup colors, I just don't like how I did the crease. I used makeup remover to remove the part that was toward the inner eye, and now it looks weird. I'm not going to worry about it. The palette is beautiful. I used the same blush and lipstick as I used in the tutorial above this one. Pink in the Afternoon is a pink with a yellow undertone, so it looks pretty on my warm coloring. I think I've said it before, but it is one of my favorite lipsticks.

My Thoughts: I skipped doing the wing because I don't like the way it looks on me. I may not be doing it right. I didn't need to put a clear gloss on because the balm made my lips shiny. I used Maybelline Baby Lips in Quenched. I like how this tutorial is using really inexpensive products. The eyes are green, the cheeks are plum, and the lips are a glossy nude. It's a pretty look.

Summer Favorite Makeup Looks Part 5

Just when I thought the summer makeup looks had come to an end, I find more looks! The summer looks were starting to dwindle, so I thought people were over it, but I guess they are still being inspired. I love it because summer is different from the other seasons because it is so dang hot and you have to do your makeup completely different. I need all the help I can get!

I have learned if you have trouble being too oily it helps to get Milk of Magnesia (you can get it from the Dollar Store) and use a cotton ball to wipe it on your face before doing makeup. It will help keep your face from getting too oily. It is a good trick. It also helps to get a foundation that is for oily skin or combination. I had this, but the Milk of Magnesia was the trick I needed. Also, a matte powder is good.

My Thoughts: Some people just want to use a bb cream or cc cream or a tinted moisturizer for the summertime. I want more coverage than that, and I want to be more matte. My new favorite blush is Sonia Kashuk's Sunset and I love the Lovers Coral Lipstick. These are new products for me. Drizella is a really beautiful eye shadow. It goes well on top of Bad to the Bronze.

My Thoughts: I was surprised, but Reserve Your Cabana was a little darker than my skin color! I should have used Physicians Formula Happy Booster Glow & Mood Boosting Powder in Translucent because that would give an all over glow without adding any color. If you have darker skin coloring than me, then Reserve Your Cabana might work. You just want to find a powder that matches your skin coloring that will give you a glow. The Va Va Va Bloom color is really pretty. This look is so easy.

My Thoughts: I don't have a mattifying moisturizer, so I used Milk of Magnesia. That has been working well with oil control. I don't have a khaki eye liner, so I used green. I think the green looks pretty. I'm not sure I like that liner though because it is supposed to be retractable, but it isn't working and you can't sharpen it. It is brand new too. I didn't use a cream bronzer because my cream bronzers are either too dark or too gold. I just used my usual powder bronzer. She doesn't use a powder, but I need one to cut down on my shine. I like this look. I hope it lasts in this heat! Later...it did do a good job in the heat!

My Thoughts: I need more matte foundation in this summer heat, so I'm skipping on the BB cream, and I don't have a BB concealer or BB powder, so I'm just using what I normally use. This tutorial inspired me to go out and buy some of the products she used. I normally like to stick with what I have, and I feel guilty when I buy new things. I feel happy with these purchases. The blush is so beautiful. It has a pink high heal shoe on the front! And it smells like vanilla! The packaging is so cute. I love this blush! I got the eye shadow palette too. I have gotten Physicians Formula eye shadow palettes before, and I am really happy with them. The packaging on this is so cute, too. It has black lace and a peach bow. The colors are so beautiful and suit me very well. The highlight is really pretty. I used a fluffy eye shadow brush. I got the eyeliners she used, and I'm really happy with them. It comes with a copper, bronze, and a black. They are really great quality liners, and they come with built in sharpeners. The copper liner matches my hair color. I got the lip gloss also. It has cool packaging too. It has a mirror along the side, so you can use it when you put on the lip gloss. On the top it has a button you can push and turn on a light! So if it is dark it would help you see to put on the gloss. This lip gloss is so cool because it changes colors. It says to the right color for you on your lips. It's based on pH, I honestly don't understand how it works, but the color it turned on my lips was pretty. Sorry I wrote so much for this look! This is one of my favorite summer time looks. I think Samantha Schuerman is really talented, and she seems sweet too.

My Thoughts: Be careful with Flushed blush. I put too much on by accident. I would use a stippling brush if I could put it on again. There isn't any eye shadow in this look, so it is important to put foundation on the lids and do a black liner. It makes your eyes stand out without having eye shadow on. The lipstick It's A Girl is really pretty and is a great summertime color. This look is mainly about face products. I love it.

My Thoughts: The brown liner in the outer v looks weird on me. I don't think I did it right, so I'm rewatching the video. I'm not sure why it looks good on her, but weird on me. I'm going to have to remove it. It doesn't look bad on the lower lash line. Now I'm going to reapply the eyelid color. I think it is because her brown liner was lighter than mine. The top bronzer is a good shade for me. I'm surprised because usually bronzers are too dark for me, but this is a good shade. It isn't orange. It looks like a natural tan. The blush is really pretty. I really love the lipstick. I like how I had a lot of the same products she used. The look is pretty, especially for a warm toned person.
