Favorite TV Show

American Horror Story: Freak Show: Warning! This show is for mature audiences only! This doesn't even seem like a TV show to me. I feel like I am watching a movie. I watch this On Demand. I like watching shows On Demand because I can watch it whenever I want to. I don't have to wait for a day or time. The story is tragic. There is a lot of sadness here. It isn't very scary to me. If you are scared of clowns, this could be very scary to you. The show is very well written, and I love the actors. I watched the last season, and the same actors are in this. Everyone has a new role. Last season Jessica Lange played the head witch. This season she has a German accent and plays the head of a circus. Angela Bassett played a voodoo witch last season. This season she is a 3 breasted woman with what looks like a penis, but it is an enlarged clitoris. Kathy Bates last season was a racist plantation owner that tortured her slaves. This season she plays a bearded lady, with an accent (I'm not sure what kind of accent it is). There are all kinds of freaks on the show, and it shows how they have been mistreated (and still are). The characters are all well developed.

Favorite Movies

1. The Maze Runner: This is based upon a popular series. It might be a trilogy. I'm not sure. I remember hearing about this book on Youtube. It is a dystopian story. It starts off with a boy in some kind of elevator and it opens out into some place with all of these boys staring at him. He doesn't remember anything about his past or why he is there. Every month a new boy is sent, and you find out that they are in the middle of a maze. There are monsters behind the walls, so they are protected unless they venture out of the middle where they live. It's a pretty mysterious story that unfolds as you watch. I don't want to say too much because that would ruin the story. The way it ends, I feel like there will be a sequel. It reminds me of The Hunger Games or Divergent, except the lead character is a teenage boy.

2. Dumb and Dumber To: This is the sequel to Dumb and Dumber. If you liked the first one, I think you would like the second one. I thought it was really funny.

Favorite Beauty Products

1. Too Faced Primed & Poreless Powder: When I ordered from the Too Faced website, they sent me this for free. It is a lot of powder! There isn't a color. I think it is translucent. It reminds me of the Bare Minerals loose powder. It is messy. You tap this into the lid, and the powder goes everywhere. This isn't travel friendly, but I like this type of powder.

2. OPI Nail Lacquer in Barefoot in Barcelona: This is a pretty rosy nude. I heard Chanelette talking about it on her Youtube channel, and it looked really pretty to me. I ordered it online. I forget where I got it from, maybe Amazon. I don't know if this is available in stores or if it was limited edition. OPI makes great quality nail polish.

3. Philosophy Shampoo, Shower Gel & Bubble Bath in Gingerbread Girl: I was getting tired of the pomegranate smell of my usual body wash. I wanted something spicier. I think I got this at Christmas time one year. It came with a lotion and maybe a lip gloss. I can't remember. This smells so good! It smells like gingerbread. Philosophy has great products. I wonder if they have this collection again this year. It would make a great present. I can't remember if I have already bought this for someone or whom I bought it for. I really recommend this!

4. Oscar Blandi Hair Lift: This is a deluxe sample size. I think I got this a while ago from Birchbox. I wanted something to give my hair more volume. My hair is fine, and I don't have a lot of it. It is a mousse texture. You put a little of it into your hands, rub your hands together, and put it where you want volume. It works really well!

5. Benefit Hoola Bronzer: I got this deluxe sample from The Benefit Advent Calendar from last Christmas. This is a matte bronzer, that is good for my light complexion.

6. Maybelline The Nudes Palette: This is like the drugstore Naked Palette. This was much talked about on Youtube. It seems like there are a lot of people sponsored by Maybelline. Some of the shadows are pigmented and some aren't. It isn't the best palette in the world. Some shadows are matte and some are shimmery. I like to have it because it seems like a lot of the tutorials I want to recreate are using this palette.

7. Revlon Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie: This is a shiny my lips but better color. When I didn't know what to wear on my lips, I chose this because it goes with everything, it looks pretty, and it feels good on my lips.

8. Covergirl Cheekers Blush in True Plum: This is a pretty blush for this season. It doesn't look too purple to the point of looking like an unnatural color. It is soft. The swatch on my hand is layered. It isn't that pigmented. I like the way it is.

9. Macadamia Deep Repair Masque: Melissa Autry on Youtube was talking about this in one of her videos a while back and she had a discount code, so I got this huge tub on sale. I have heard a lot of people talk about this. It is worth all the hype. It is an excellent deep conditioner. I use this about once a week to really condition my hair. I shampoo and then I get out of the shower and put this from my ears to the ends of my hair and a little bit on top. I comb out my hair with a wide tooth comb and let it set for 7 minutes. Then I rinse. You can tell it is working as soon as you rinse it out. It makes your hair smooth and shiny. This is one of the best conditioners I have ever used.

So those are my favorites for this month! What were your favorites? Please leave a comment below. I am hoping that the comment section is working. I'm not sure how to fix it if it isn't working. I have asked for help, and I think I've looked in the wrong e-mail account to find an answer. Hopefully, I can solve the problem. I really wish I would get comments to my blog.

I am going to do Blogmas this year. I didn't know it was thing that people did. I called it Advent something last year, and it was really fun to do. I'm not sure what I will be doing yet, but I plan on blogging every day up until Christmas.

Empties Review

These videos I see sometimes on Youtube where people show the products they have used up. The theory is, you will give a good review if you have used up a product. These are my products I have most recently used up or I don't want to use them anymore, I am ready to throw them out.

1. Urban Decay De-Slick Oil-Control Makeup Setting Spray: I am still unsure about this product. I have been having problems being oily. I used this product after putting on my makeup, but I didn't see a difference. Recently, I went to Sephora and told them I was needing a primer, a powder, and a setting spray. The girl recommended me getting this spray to use as a primer and a setting spray. I had to order the powder, so I haven't had that to see if the whole idea works. So even though this ran out and I did repurchase this, I don't know if I would recommend it.

2. Herbal Essences Smooth Collection Shampoo: This is one of my all time favorite shampoos. I used it back in high school and they discontinued it. When I saw they brought it back, I was so happy! It has 0% Silicone, but it still lathers. It has an infused blend of rose hips, vitamin e, and jojoba extracts. It smells like roses, and makes your hair smell wonderful. People don't know it is your shampoo, they just think you smell good. I would repurchase this. I recommend it. I also like the conditioner.

3. Covergirl Lash Perfection Mascara: This has gotten old. There is a bad smell to it, so I need to throw it out. This mascara is ok. I wouldn't repurchase it. It didn't impress me that much.

4. L'Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes: I liked this, but during the summer time especially it's not good for me to be without my waterproof mascara. Sometimes my eyes water, and sometimes I touch my eyes I think which smears the mascara onto my face. It just works best for me to have waterproof mascara. I also can tell my lashes curl better with waterproof mascara.

5. Candles by Victoria Sugar Scrub in Vanilla Bean: I first heard about this on a video by TheBubbleGumPrincess on Youtube. She got a bunch of body products, so I ordered a body scrub, a lip scrub, and a lotion. I liked this scrub, but sometimes the sugar particles would all bunch together and harden and those would be too hard on my skin. I have had other body scrubs that were better, so I'm not going to repurchase this.

6. Dove Go Fresh Revive Body Wash in Pomegranate & Lemon Verbena Scent: I really liked this body wash. I got it because I ran out of my Lush Prince Charming Shower Gel, and I wanted to find something to replace it. I think the Prince Charming had pomegranate in it, so I thought this would be a good one to try. I really loved the smell, and it made my skin so soft. I would repurchase this or try it in a different scent because I like to change things up. I recommend this.

7. Glam Glow Thirsty Mud Hydrating Treatment: I got two samples of this when I bought the Macadamia Hair Mask. I was really glad to try this because I heard a lot of talk about it. It smells like coconut. It feels so moisturizing. I like the way it feels. I can't tell a difference after I use it. I won't buy this because it is too expensive for me.

8. Freeman Facial Purifying Paper Mask Star Fruit: This is a sample I got at Walmart. I have only seen this as being able to have one at a time, not a box of masks. I really liked this mask! I would repurchase this. This is what it says on the back about the mask: "This serum-infused paper facial mask with Star Fruit helps calm skin stressed by flare-ups. Lavender and Niachinamide help balance oil production. Tea Tree soothes breakout-stressed skin. Perfect for combination to oily skin."

9. Fortune Cookie Soap Witch, Please! No Good Deed Whipped Cream: I liked the smell at first. But then it smelled too much like maple syrup to me. I don't like that smell on my body. The lotion was good quality and moisturized my skin. I won't repurchase this, but I would purchase a whipped cream again.

10. Fortune Cookie Soap Unicorn Farts Shampoo & Conditioner Bars: I didn't use this all up. I tried to use it, but I like liquid shampoo and conditioner better. It wasn't amazing on my hair enough to use over a liquid. Also, the smell wasn't that wonderful. I would not repurchase this.

11. Fortune Cookie Soap Witch, Please! Flying Monkeys Personal Space: This is a room air freshener. But I can't smell it! It is a very, very light scent. I would not purchase this.

JollyVoxBox!

I was so excited to get the e-mail that I was selected to get the JollyVoxBox in the mail! I had heard about Influenster maybe a year ago, and I thought it sounded fun, so I signed up. Unfortunately, I didn't seem to qualify to get anything. I don't go on Twitter that much, and I don't make Youtube videos. I thought I wasn't able to get anything because I didn't hear from them for a long time. I sort of forgot about the website. So I don't know why I got selected, maybe I was in a long line of people waiting to be chosen. My ego likes to think, they saw my blog and thought it was so good they chose me. But for whatever reason I got this box that came with free goodies inside! I didn't know what I would get until I got my box yesterday.

I had to check on the website that I got the box, and I think that gave me a badge. Then they had a list of things for me to do. I could review the box on my blog, talk about it on Twitter, review the box on a Youtube video, etc. Then once I do something I submit it to the website. I'm going to do a blog review of it. I promise it is my honest opinion. I guess they will see my review and decide if they want to send me more Influenster boxes in the future to review. They will notify me when a survey is available and I'm supposed to take the survey about what I thought about the products in the box. There are also things you can do for each brand that is in the box. I haven't looked at that yet.

So this is the information card that came in the box:

It says: "Can you hear the children's laughter? Do you see the candy-colored lights lining the streets? Can you taste the thrill in the air? It's the most wonderful time of year. Filled with treasure to keep you smiling from ear to ear, the Jolly VoxBox is finally here!"

This reminds me of The IPSY Bag or Birchbox. It always came with an introduction card. Then on the other side is what is inside the box. I try not to look at that because I like to be surprised as I open the box, just like I'm opening a gift.

1. Puffs Ultra Soft & Strong To Go Tissue Pack: $0.49/single pack

I actually do have a cold and have been using lots of tissues. Normally, I just get whatever tissue is handy. I'm not picky. I do like it when there is lotion in the tissue. These are the kind with lotion and it feels so nice on the skin. I forget that I like the lotion kind. At school, the tissues feel like cardboard paper. I have to keep a little size package of tissues in my coat pocket or my purse because of my runny nose and my watery eyes.

This is what the card says, "Puffs Ultra Soft & Strong TO Go is still our best non-lotion facial tissue to use in the car, for on-the-go, wherever you go!" That's interesting. I thought it had lotion in it! Looking at the tissues, it says "Plus Lotion" next to the Puffs logo on the bottom. It's hard to see in my picture. Maybe this is a different tissue then the one it says on the card. It feels like lotion to me, and I can smell it.

2. NYC New York Color HD Color Trio Eye Shadow: $2.99

The swatches on my hand show that it isn't very pigmented for 2/3 shades. The top color is a really pretty highlight. I used this under my brow, inner corner, top of cheekbones, and cupid's bow. It looks very natural. The second color is the most pigmented. I used this on the crease. It is a really pretty warm brown. The third color is a taupe, and I put it on my eyelid. It isn't as pigmented, but sometimes it is more natural looking to have a lighter shade.

The card says, "HD Color Trio Eye Shadow delivers high intensity color with a silky soft texture. This lightweight formula blends effortlessly for the ultimate smoky eye look." I don't see how this is HD or intense at all. The shadows are silky that is true and it is a lightweight formula. I didn't create a smoky eye with this. These shadows reminds me of something I would wear in the Spring or Summer.

When I first saw this palette it reminded me of an eyeshadow trio I already had: Covergirl's Shimmering Sands. I wanted to compare the two. The NYC trio is called "Long Beach Sands."

In the palette they look similar.

The top is NYC and the bottom is Covergirl. The Covergirl has 2/3 colors that show up on my hand. They are similar to the middle color in the NYC palette. The Covergirl palette is more expensive. It is $4.49 at Target.

To be honest the NYC trio is just ok to me. I think I will give this to my mom. I showed it to her, and she really liked it.

3. Rimmel London NEW Show Off Lip Lacquer: $5.49-$5.99

I was really happy to see this in my VoxBox! I had heard about these lip lacquers on Youtube because originally they were sold in England and called "Apocalypse." They did really well in the U.K. and when they they came over to America people went crazy. When I tried to find them at my Walgreens, they were all sold out! I was trying to find the Luna shade because that one was the most desirable to me. This is the one the VoxBox sent me! Later, I did find one that I wanted called Celestial. It is a really pretty plum shade. I use this whenever a look calls for a plum lip.

Luna is on the top and Celestial is on the bottom. They have "universe" shade names. This is a creamy formula. It reminds me of the NYX Xtreme Lip Creams. They are $5.99 at Ulta. It is very thick. They both feel nice on the lips. They aren't really lipsticks or lip glosses. They are a different texture.

The left one is Rimmel and the right is NYX. They are the same texture. It's obviously a different color, but they are both vibrant, and very pretty. The card says, "It's the end of colour as you know it! The intense rich colour of a lipstick combined with an invincibly smooth lacquer shine. Available in 14 shades." I think when they say "It's the end of colour as you know it!" This is referring to the idea of the Apocalypse lip lacquers. Maybe this is the same thing they said about those.

I really like this lip lacquer. I'm so happy to get it! It was all sold out at my stores.

4. Skinny Cow Candy: $3.99/box, $1.09/single bar or pouch

They come with three chocolates in a pouch. I ate one, that is why there were two left. I love chocolate and these are chocolate peanut butters! It really tastes good to me. It tastes like a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup. I asked my dad if he thought so, and he did too. They are lower in calories though. I looked up the information about Reese's. They have 210 calories, 110 calories from fat, and 13g of total fat. Skinny Cow Divine Filled Chocolates Candy in Peanut Butter Creme has 130 calories per pouch, 70 calories from fat, and 7g of total fat! I have tried Skinny Cow before and I liked them. It doesn't taste like you are getting a lower calorie candy. This is what the card says, "TA DA! Presenting almost too good to be true Skinny Cow Candy! Unbelievably chocolatey. Melt-in-your-mouth madness. Perfectly yummy portions. Skinny Cow's line of candy weighs in at 110 to 130 calories. So if you've been avoiding the candy aisle, welcome back. You're gonna feel like a kid in a candy store."

5. Ducklings Mini Rolls: $2-$3

This is Duck Tape. Isn't it cute?! I actually needed to get some duct tape because I use it to fix my key chain for work. The circle comes loose and then my keys fall out. I already used plain black tape to fix it. This is a nice color and it matches my lanyard for work.

This is what the card says, "Excellent for repair, crafting, and imaginative projects. High performance strength and adhesion characteristics. Tears easily by hand without curling and conforms to uneven surfaces. Ducklings are perfect for small repairs, trimming out projects or for when you just need a little tape!" I agree these are good for repair and they are strong. It lasts for a long time. But I have trouble tearing it with my hand. I had to use scissors. Maybe I am just weak.

So that is my review! I hope it was helpful to you! I liked 4/5 of the items. I like how these are all things I can get at my local store. They aren't expensive products.

April Favorites

I have a lot of favorites for this month. Let's get started right away!

Books

1. Requiem (Book 3 from The Delirium Trilogy) by Lauren Oliver

This was a good book. It alternates between two different characters to who is telling the story, Hana and Lena. Hana has had the operation where she cannot love and Lena has not had the operation. They live in two different societies. It's really interesting. In the first book they were best friends. In this book they are on warring sides. I don't want to say too much because I don't want to give too much away in case you want to read the first two books (which I recommend.)

2. Entwined by Heather Dixon

This book is based on the fairy tale "The 12 Dancing Princesses." If you like fairy tales, you will like this book, I think. I like the romance in the story. There is also a bad guy, and parts of it I didn't like, but I like the ending. It is a very imaginative story.

3. Matched by Ally Condle

This is the first book in a trilogy. It is one of the best books I've read in a while. It's a really sweet love story. It's another Dystopian Society. The government is very controlling. It picks who you will marry, what job you have, how many children you will have, even when you will die! I read the book really fast. I'm rereading the book to my mom.

Nail Polishes

I was this month going to just pick one, but I couldn't do it! It was too difficult.

1. Pixiglow Nail Colour in Pirouette Pink

I was so excited to see this at Target. It is the Tinkerbell nail polish! I had been searching for this a while ago, when I was looking for all the Tinkerbell collection. It was also on sale for only $5! So I was really lucky! It's a cute pink color, too.

2. Essie Nail Lacquer in Bikini So Teeny

Doesn't this color look heavenly?! The sunlight was shining on it just right when I took the picture! I had heard people talk about this nail polish, but I wasn't sure about having blue on my nails. It looked pretty though. It is a pastel blue. It's a nice spring color.

3. L'Oreal Nail Color in Orange You Jealous?

This is a pretty coral color. It doesn't look too orange.

4. Revlon Nail Enamel in Heavenly on top of L'Oreal I Will!

This picture is hard to tell, but the top coat is glittery. When I look at my toenails it reminds me of a wedding dress! The weather has been sunny for just a few days, so for the few days it has been nice I decided to paint my toenails, so they would look pretty in the sunlight.

Makeup

1. Maybelline The Rocket Volum' Express Waterproof in Very Black

I heard a lot of talk about this mascara, so I decided to try it out. It does give a lot of volume to my lashes.

2. Maybelline Dream Matte Powder in Light

I ran out of the powder I was using, and I heard people talk about this powder. I really like it. I like that it looks like I'm not wearing anything.

3. Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer in Radiant

I was using this in the shade light, and I still like that, but I heard that radiant helps hide dark circles. I was curious what it would do, so I got it. It is light coverage, but it is just as much as I need. It has a peach tint, that cancels out the dark under my eyes.

4. The Balm Nude'tude Eyeshadow Palette

This has a lot of beautiful neutral colors. I got it on sale from Hautelook.com. I'm working on a blog post dedicated to this palette. Lately, I've been just using this for all my eye makeup.

5. Elf Feather Proof Moisturizing Lip Liner in Bark

I found out that this was a dupe for MAC's Lip Liner in Boldly Bare. I saw a Youtube video where someone had this elf lip liner and the mac one and they swatched them side by side, and they looked very similar. The Elf one is very cheap. I used this a lot when doing Samantha Schuerman looks.

6. L'Oreal Colour Riche in All About Pink Lip Liner

I use this as a dupe for MAC In Synch. I don't have the original. I just am guessing based on what it looks like to me from pictures. I used this a lot with Samantha Schuerman looks. She likes to use Boldly Bare and In Synch together for a lot of her looks. This is a really pretty lip liner.

7. Wet 'n Wild Color Icon Blush in Pearlescent Pink

This is one of my favorite blushes. It gives a natural flush to the cheeks. It is pink with a tiny bit of peach.

8. Urban Decay Ammo Palette

I love the colors in this palette. This is another palette I got on sale off of Hautelook.com. I did a blog post on it this month. Here is a link, if you want to see it: http://beautydiversion.blogspot.com/2013/04/urban-decay-ammo-shadowbox-palette-looks.html This is my first time owning Urban Decay eye shadow, and I really understand why people love them so much. I try to dupe it. But my dupes aren't as great as the real eyeshadows. It does have a lot of glitter fall out, which isn't good.

9. Covergirl Cheekers Blush in Pretty Peach

This blush is pinky-peach. I heard that it was a dupe for NARS Orgasm. I don't know if that is true. I just know it's a really pretty blush, and it is inexpensive. It looks very natural. I've been wearing the blush since I started wearing makeup, like back in junior high!

10. Elf Blush in Candid Coral

This is a peachy-coral blush. It is also very inexpensive, but it is a blush I have to have in my makeup collection. When a look calls for a coral blush, I use this.

Songs

I wanted to find a way to include music in my favorites for the month, but I didn't see how I could decide on a favorite. This month I'm going to share with you my exercise playlist. These are the songs I have listened to the most this month. I haven't gotten tired of them yet. Keep in mind when I listen to this, it is set to mix the songs up, so they aren't in this order.
