Summer into Fall Everyday Look ~Going to a dahlia (flower) festival/show today

This is a simple look. I'm going to wear a hat. I'm going to put my hair into a pony tail. We are going to a dahlia (flower) festival/show today.

1. First, I used Baby Face by Maybelline on my face.

2. Then, I put concealer under my eyes with L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Glow. It is moisturizing.

3. For bronzer I used Rimmel's Sun Light Bronzer. Just a little bit around my face.

4. I put gold on my lid, and light brown in my crease. Also I put the bronzer in my crease.

5. I didn't put on mascara because I need to buy another one. I curled my lashes.

6. For cheeks I put on a rose embossed blush by Milani called "Coral Cove." And I blended it out.

7. For my lips I put on a pomegranate lip balm by Burts Bees.

My First Youtube Video!!!!!!

I made my first makeup tutorial! lol! It cracks me up to watch myself! It is over 30 minutes long! I don't know how to edit. Next time I do a video, I will have all the makeup set up so I don't have to look through my drawers, and I will have one eye already done, and try not to go out of frame so much!

My First Youtube Video!

This is the tutorial I followed:

Favorite TV Show

American Horror Story: Freak Show: Warning! This show is for mature audiences only! This doesn't even seem like a TV show to me. I feel like I am watching a movie. I watch this On Demand. I like watching shows On Demand because I can watch it whenever I want to. I don't have to wait for a day or time. The story is tragic. There is a lot of sadness here. It isn't very scary to me. If you are scared of clowns, this could be very scary to you. The show is very well written, and I love the actors. I watched the last season, and the same actors are in this. Everyone has a new role. Last season Jessica Lange played the head witch. This season she has a German accent and plays the head of a circus. Angela Bassett played a voodoo witch last season. This season she is a 3 breasted woman with what looks like a penis, but it is an enlarged clitoris. Kathy Bates last season was a racist plantation owner that tortured her slaves. This season she plays a bearded lady, with an accent (I'm not sure what kind of accent it is). There are all kinds of freaks on the show, and it shows how they have been mistreated (and still are). The characters are all well developed.

Favorite Movies

1. The Maze Runner: This is based upon a popular series. It might be a trilogy. I'm not sure. I remember hearing about this book on Youtube. It is a dystopian story. It starts off with a boy in some kind of elevator and it opens out into some place with all of these boys staring at him. He doesn't remember anything about his past or why he is there. Every month a new boy is sent, and you find out that they are in the middle of a maze. There are monsters behind the walls, so they are protected unless they venture out of the middle where they live. It's a pretty mysterious story that unfolds as you watch. I don't want to say too much because that would ruin the story. The way it ends, I feel like there will be a sequel. It reminds me of The Hunger Games or Divergent, except the lead character is a teenage boy.

2. Dumb and Dumber To: This is the sequel to Dumb and Dumber. If you liked the first one, I think you would like the second one. I thought it was really funny.

Favorite Beauty Products

1. Too Faced Primed & Poreless Powder: When I ordered from the Too Faced website, they sent me this for free. It is a lot of powder! There isn't a color. I think it is translucent. It reminds me of the Bare Minerals loose powder. It is messy. You tap this into the lid, and the powder goes everywhere. This isn't travel friendly, but I like this type of powder.

2. OPI Nail Lacquer in Barefoot in Barcelona: This is a pretty rosy nude. I heard Chanelette talking about it on her Youtube channel, and it looked really pretty to me. I ordered it online. I forget where I got it from, maybe Amazon. I don't know if this is available in stores or if it was limited edition. OPI makes great quality nail polish.

3. Philosophy Shampoo, Shower Gel & Bubble Bath in Gingerbread Girl: I was getting tired of the pomegranate smell of my usual body wash. I wanted something spicier. I think I got this at Christmas time one year. It came with a lotion and maybe a lip gloss. I can't remember. This smells so good! It smells like gingerbread. Philosophy has great products. I wonder if they have this collection again this year. It would make a great present. I can't remember if I have already bought this for someone or whom I bought it for. I really recommend this!

4. Oscar Blandi Hair Lift: This is a deluxe sample size. I think I got this a while ago from Birchbox. I wanted something to give my hair more volume. My hair is fine, and I don't have a lot of it. It is a mousse texture. You put a little of it into your hands, rub your hands together, and put it where you want volume. It works really well!

5. Benefit Hoola Bronzer: I got this deluxe sample from The Benefit Advent Calendar from last Christmas. This is a matte bronzer, that is good for my light complexion.

6. Maybelline The Nudes Palette: This is like the drugstore Naked Palette. This was much talked about on Youtube. It seems like there are a lot of people sponsored by Maybelline. Some of the shadows are pigmented and some aren't. It isn't the best palette in the world. Some shadows are matte and some are shimmery. I like to have it because it seems like a lot of the tutorials I want to recreate are using this palette.

7. Revlon Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie: This is a shiny my lips but better color. When I didn't know what to wear on my lips, I chose this because it goes with everything, it looks pretty, and it feels good on my lips.

8. Covergirl Cheekers Blush in True Plum: This is a pretty blush for this season. It doesn't look too purple to the point of looking like an unnatural color. It is soft. The swatch on my hand is layered. It isn't that pigmented. I like the way it is.

9. Macadamia Deep Repair Masque: Melissa Autry on Youtube was talking about this in one of her videos a while back and she had a discount code, so I got this huge tub on sale. I have heard a lot of people talk about this. It is worth all the hype. It is an excellent deep conditioner. I use this about once a week to really condition my hair. I shampoo and then I get out of the shower and put this from my ears to the ends of my hair and a little bit on top. I comb out my hair with a wide tooth comb and let it set for 7 minutes. Then I rinse. You can tell it is working as soon as you rinse it out. It makes your hair smooth and shiny. This is one of the best conditioners I have ever used.

So those are my favorites for this month! What were your favorites? Please leave a comment below. I am hoping that the comment section is working. I'm not sure how to fix it if it isn't working. I have asked for help, and I think I've looked in the wrong e-mail account to find an answer. Hopefully, I can solve the problem. I really wish I would get comments to my blog.

I am going to do Blogmas this year. I didn't know it was thing that people did. I called it Advent something last year, and it was really fun to do. I'm not sure what I will be doing yet, but I plan on blogging every day up until Christmas.

October Favorites

Favorite TV Show

Chrisley Knows Best: This is on USA, E! and On Demand. It is a reality show about a family. The dad is really funny. I thought he was gay when I first watched the show, but he must not be gay if he has so many children and he seems like he is in love with his wife. He acts very flamboyant. And the children get into all kinds of mischief and so does the dad. I just think it is a really funny show.

Beauty Products

1. Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet: September I went to Sephora and asked for help picking out make up for oily skin, and the girl helping me suggested I might have dehydrated skin and that is why my skin is producing to many oils. She suggested this moisturizer that she uses and loves. She gave me a sample, and I really liked it so I ordered the full size. The tube isn't that big, but you don't need a lot of it to put on your face and I just put it on at night. I use a lotion with SPF in the morning.

2. Maybelline Color Show in Hibiscus Haven: This is more like a summer nail polish, but I wanted to paint my nails pink this month. This turned out to be a pretty color that I haven't worn before.

3. Wet 'n Wild Rose to Fame: I found this on the Wet 'n Wild Halloween display. There were a bunch of new lipsticks, and I got really excited because these lipsticks are really good even though they are so inexpensive. This was my favorite of all the ones I got. It is a matte my lips but better color.

4. Jordana Easy Liner for Lips Retractable Pencil in Cabernet: This is a dark cranberry color that is good if you are wearing a dark lip. These kind of lips were very popular in October. I don't know if people are going to keep doing this dark lip trend. I don't know if I like it very much, but this lip pencil is really pretty nonetheless. Jordana products are like Wet 'n Wild. They are very inexpensive. You can find them at the beauty counter at Walgreens.

5. Revlon Colorstay Palette in Attitude: This is a pretty palette for the fall time. The two lighter colors didn't show up very well on my hand, but the upper right color is supposedly a dupe for Urban Decay's Naked 2 from The Basics Palette. The bottom left color is my dupe for Anastasia Amrezy's Morocco and Makeup Geek's Cocoa Bear. I really like that color. It is a reddish brown. And the darkest shade is a pigmented dark brown.

6. Too Faced Chocolate Soleil: This is supposed to be a dupe for NARS Laguna Bronzer. This is in 2 of the new Holiday palettes I got from Too Faced. I have never had it before, and I have heard so many people talk about it. It really does smell like chocolate! I is a nice, matte bronzer you can use to contour. I am careful with it because it might be a little too dark for my pale skin tone.

I hope you enjoy my favorites and find it helpful. What was your favorite thing about October?

July Favorites!

This summer is going by way too fast. It makes me feel so sad that it is the end of July. I want summer to go on forever. I love the sunshine, and the break from work. I hope August goes by very very slowly!

Favorite TV Show

The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 6: I think every month one of my favorite TV shows is another installment of The Real Housewives on Bravo. For some reason, I didn't find any good pictures of this cast that I could copy. This picture is a little blurry. I think it is interesting that Dina is back. I wonder why her and her sister don't get along. This season is interesting to me because 3 of the ladies I already know from past seasons, but 3 of the ladies are totally new, including twin sisters. I think this will be an interesting season.

Favorite Nail Polishes

1. Julie G Nail Color in Tahiti: This is another blue-green color. I seem to have a lot of these. It is my favorite color. I thought this was a pretty combination. I taught VBS for a week, and one of the girls in my group (She was probably 8 or 9 years old!) had this combination on her nails. I thought it was so pretty and summery. I copied her nail look. The red color is Essie's Cute As A Button.

2. Essie Nail Lacquer in Shine of the Times: I saw a blog post where someone combined Sinful Colors Cinderella with Shine of the Times as a top coat. This is so beautiful! I would wear this every day on my nails. The way it hit the sun was amazing.

3. Revlon Pebbled Texture Nail Enamel in Seychelles Sand: I originally painted my nails yellow, but it looked a little boring. I wanted to try out this new nail polish I got. I got it in several shades. It looks like little rocks. It's hard to describe. I thought it was pretty. It is hard to see the nail polish in this picture, unfortunately.

4. China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy: This is a neon coral shade. It has lasted for quite a long time on my toes. This was the best picture I took that showed how neon the color was. This is the perfect summer toe color to wear. It looks cute with flip flops.

5. Maybelline Color Show Jewels in Gilded in Gold with Maybelline Color Show in Born With It: I saw this on the display picture of the Jewel nail polishes. It is hard to see in the picture, but the jewel top coat looks like golden leaves to me. They aren't uniform glitters. They are more like golden particles. I think it is so pretty. Born With It is just a very light pink, but it makes for a good base to the golden jewels.

Skin Care

1. Avalon Organics Vitamin C Renew Revitalizing Eye Cream: I don't remember where, but I remember hearing someone used this and recommended it. It is a moisturizing eye cream.

2. Ulta Beauty Smoothie in Buttercream Cupcake 3-in-1 Shower Gel, Shampoo & Bubble Bath: This stuff smells so good! I love anything that smells like cupcakes. I use it as a shower gel.

Makeup

1. Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser: This has been compared to Benefit's Porefessional. I wouldn't go so far as to say this is a dupe, but it does a pretty good job at minimizing the appearance of pores on the face. I put this on before foundation.

2. Jane Oil Free Finishing Powder in Fair: This month my skin was acting weird with my regular foundation routine. Sometimes the pores were more visible, or it looked like my face was too cakey or sometimes it was too shiny. I dug this out of a drawer and I haven't used this product in a long time. This may be past the expiration date because this is when Jane was sold in Rite Aid. I remember buying Jane in high school, but then it went away and now it is back and more expensive and is sold at Ulta. Even though it is old, it works really well! It keeps my face from looking too greasy. I keep it in a purse to touch up my face.

3. Bare Minerals Well Rested: My mom is in love with this stuff. She had an extra one that she let me have. It is a good powder to put under the eyes, and around the nose. It is like a concealer. I am really impressed by it. I use it to set my concealer.

4. Jesse's Girl Liquid Eyeliner in Black: I was on a hunt for a liquid liner that was waterproof. I think this is new at Rite Aid. It has a very fine point brush. It lasts all day, and doesn't smudge. It is also very easy to use. I have a hard time doing winged liner, but this makes it really easy for me. You can get right next to your lash line.

5. NYX Matte Finish Long Lasting Setting Spray: I used this a lot this month. I'm not exactly sure how well it does with keeping me matte. I think it works just as good as the Urban Decay setting sprays. I have tried those, but this is the inexpensive version. I had to try it.

June Favorites!

This was a good month for me. It is nice to have vacation now. I like how the weather has been mostly sunny here. I hate how the weather has such an effect on me, but I know that I am happier since the sun has been out. I hope you enjoy my June favorites. What were your favorites this month?

1. Equate Walmart Broad Spectrum SPF 50 Ultra Protection Sunscreen Lotion: The sunscreen I was using before was making my skin peel! I thought it was because I had a sunburn, but it didn't make sense. I decided to try a different sunblock, and I asked a lady I work with for a recommendation. She says she uses the Walmart brand, and that it was recommended by Consumer Reports as being one of the best sunblocks! I didn't believe her so I looked up Consumer Reports, and she was right! After using this my skin has not peeled, and I have not got a sunburn! It is inexpensive too!

2. Hawaiian Tropics Sheer Touch Lotion Sunscreen in Ultra Radiance SPF 30: I didn't really need this, but I heard this gives a glow to the skin and I thought that would be cool to try out. Also, it has the most beautiful scent! So when I put the Equate on, I will put this on top of it for the glow and the nice smell.

3. Essie Nail Lacquer in I'm Addicted: Essie's Summer Collection has about five neon colors. Everywhere I went most of them were sold out! I really wanted the green one, but the blue one looked pretty to me too. I had a picture of this on my hands, but I accidentally deleted it from my computer. I think this is the perfect summer color.

4. Rimmel Stay Matte Primer: I heard people talking about this on Youtube, so I finally caved in and bought it to see what all the hype was about. But this stuff really does keep my face matte! I was really impressed. I have tried a lot of primers, and this is a good one.

5. NYX Stay Matte But Not Flat Liquid Foundation in Ivory: I heard about this from macshadowcombos on Youtube. She said this goes on lighter than her skin, but then it blends in and it is a really great foundation. Even though I didn't need it, I was curious to try it. I usually don't have good luck with foundation. But this one is really good! It does look lighter than my skin, but blends in somehow. It helps make the skin matte, but it never looks cakey. This looks good applied with a wet sponge. The only bad thing, is it is very small. I don't know how long this stuff will last me.

6. Maybelline Dream Pure BB 8-in-1 Beauty Balm Skin Clearing Perfector: I tried the BB cream by Maybelline before and I didn't like it because I felt like it made my skin look too oily. This formula doesn't do that. It has 2% Salicylic Acid in it to help fight breakouts. This is what my dermatologist recommends for me, so I know this does work. If you are curious what the 8 things are this is what they are: 1. Clears acne. 2. Conceals imperfections. 3. Minimizes look of pores. 4. Reduces appearance of redness. 5. Adjusts to skin tone. 6. Hydrates and smoothes. 7. Enhances and clarifies. 8. 0% oils and lightweight feel. I think it does all that it claims to do. This makes a great primer if you want heavier coverage, just put a foundation over top. Sometimes a BB cream is nice when you want a lightweight foundation for the summertime.

7. L'Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes: I was using Maybelline The Rocket for a really long time, but I wasn't keeping track of how long I had been using it. I think it was past time and I needed to throw it out. This needs to be thrown out by September. I'm writing this down so I don't forget! I have extra mascaras that I wasn't using. I bought this mascara again because people on Youtube really raved about it. I didn't see what was so special about it. I used it like one time and then tossed it to the side. But this is actually a really great mascara! This might even be better than The Rocket! It gives a lot of volume to my lashes which is the most important thing to me.

8. Maybelline Fit Me Concealer: I have tried a lot of concealers. I am always on the hunt for the perfect one. Again, this is a purchase because of recommendations on Youtube. It is a light weight concealer, and it works perfectly under my eyes. I don't have really dark under eyes or bags, so I can get away with a light concealer. My Maybelline Dream Lumi Concealers are all done, so I'm using this one up now. I like the Dream Lumi Concealers better. But this one is good too. I don't think it has light reflecting particles in it. It is just a plain concealer.

9. Sephora Disney Storylook Palette in Cinderella: This was the first Storylook palette I got. It has really great quality eye shadows. I want to collect all three storybook palettes. The one I don't have is Jasmine from the Disney movie Alladin. There are a lot of dupes in these palettes for other high end makeup. I love the packaging.

10. Jordana Easyliner Retractable Pencil for Lips in Tawny: I heard about this through Youtube. Smlx0 uses it a lot. It matches my lips when they are blushing, so this is the perfect color for me. It is a neutral/natural mauve with very little pink or brown undertones. I got this at Walgreens. It is inexpensive.

11. Rimmel London Lasting Finish Blendable Powder Blush in 002 Mauve Cool: This is one of my favorite blushes! It looks very natural on the skin. It is a dupe for NARS Madly. This is a nude glowing blush. It is pinky-beige. I don't have any other blushes like this.

12. Elf Contouring Blush & Bronzing Cream in St. Lucia: This is the cream version of the popular powder duo. It is a copy of NARS Orgasm and Laguna. I already mentioned that in a monthly favorites. The thing I love about this is the cream bronzer. It is a dupe for the Chanel Bronze Universal. You put it on before you put on a powder bronzer, and it will last for a long time. It is a little dark for my skin tone, so I use a light hand. The cream blush is very pretty too.

I had a lot of favorite songs this month! I didn't realize it until I wrote them all down! Phew! I also enjoyed the music at Vacation Bible School "Wild Animals." I found some of the songs on Youtube. I am sore from doing all the dance moves that went along with it! I like the one where "your love spins me round and round."

And Field Day at the school I work with was so much fun for the kids! They blasted music that was kind of like exercise music. The PE teacher plays music when the kids are in the gym. He has great taste in music. I tried to note down all the songs on his cd, but I didn't get them all.

I hope you liked my June favorites!
