They are not for a particular season or fall into a certain category, like "Back to School Makeup", so that is why I group them all into "pretty makeup looks." My Thoughts: The shade from A Great Glistener looks just like that purple from the Chocolate Bar palette! I wish I didn't put concealer on my lips because it messed up my lip look. I guess you need the right kind of concealer for your lips. The eyes are brown with violet on the lower lash line, a nude peach on the cheeks, and I chose the coral peach lip option.

My Thoughts: The eyes are brown and naturally pretty. The blush is very pigmented, so I used a little bit on a stippling brush and lightly brushed my cheeks. The lips are a pretty pink.

My Thoughts: I have decided I don't like the wing eye liner look on me, and I don't like the bronzer contour because it looks unnatural on me, so I skipped those parts. Rose D'Oro is a pretty warm blush for redheads. The lipstick is nude, but the lip gloss is a pretty rose pink. I think the eye shadow looks good to bring out the green in my hazel eyes.

Pretty Makeup Looks 2013

I was looking at my blog for this year and I noticed I haven't done any "pretty makeup looks" this year. These are the looks that I like, but I'm not exactly sure how to categorize them, except that they are pretty looks. I have a long list of these looks because I haven't been doing them. My Thoughts: The blush is very pigmented. I recommend using a stippling brush. The blush and lip color are pretty. The shadows are really pigmented. I'm surprised at how great of quality the makeup is! Don't forget mascara. This is a really pretty look. She wanted the eyes to look like the beach. I think she did a good job with that. The rest of the face looks natural and pretty. I also sprayed my face with Elf Makeup Mist & Set.

My Thoughts: You don't have to be Korean to wear this makeup look. Anybody can wear this look to get a pretty, natural look. I had a problem with my makeup for this, but this is probably just a personal skin problem. I put eye primer on before the concealer, and I think that wasn't a good idea because my concealer was patchy on my eyelids. I also think it might have been because my concealer wasn't moisturizing enough around my nose and eyes. Maybe I should have put an eye cream on first. It tickles to put the gel eyeliner on the tight line, but it looks natural and makes your lashes look fuller without looking like you even have eyeliner on. I think the pink color looks good with my hazel eyes. I've said that before. I heard somewhere that pink is good if you have hazel eyes. Bubz has brown eyes and it looked pretty on her too. Peachy Keen is one of my favorite blushes. This is a pretty look.

My Thoughts: I couldn't believe that this was her first makeup tutorial on Youtube! So I looked at all of her videos and sure enough she has never done one before. People have always asked her too, but she didn't want to for some reason. Maybe she was nervous. She has videos of her favorite makeup and fashion. My Thoughts: I got to borrow my mom's Dior BB Cream and BB Eye Cream for this look! I didn't see a difference between this and the drugstore BB cream I normally wear. The BB Eye Cream seemed like my under eye concealer. This look is really pretty. I love Standoffish. I tried a new mascara, Jordana Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara in Black. It is a really good mascara.

My Thoughts: I like this blush. It's really natural looking. I wasn't sure about the eyes at first, but after the eyeliner and mascara were one, I did decide that I liked it. The eyes look like bedroom eyes. I'm not used to having different colors in the crease, like put one color in the inner and outer crease and a different color in the middle. So it looked weird to me at first. In order to wear Pink Pout, you really need to make sure your lips are exfoliated and moisturized, otherwise the lipstick won't look good. It will just emphasize chapped lips because it's a matte lipstick.

The Balm Nude'tude Eyeshadow Palette Looks

In February Hautelooks.com was having a sale on The Balm, so I got The Nude'tude Palette originally $36.00 for only $18.00! I was so excited! I heard a lot of good things about this palette. I knew it would be something I would get a lot of use from.

Some of the looks I will mention are looks I have tried to dupe in previous posts, but now I can actually try them out with the real deal! I got several palettes off of Hautelook, but the palette that had the most tutorials on Youtube, was The Nude'tude. That is why I decided to make a post about it. I'm only mentioning looks that I liked. I hope you like them too!

Something to note! While I was trying out this look I noticed one of the looks said to use the color Schitzo. I don't have that in my palette! It is in the spot where Seductive is in my palette. It also looks like they are two different colors! So I guess there are different types of palettes. I've also noticed that some palettes have naked women in them (like mine), and some don't have women in them at all.

I'm still doing holiday looks! I have several more to try out. I'm very focused on trying out all these looks. I've really been impressed. There haven't been a lot of "duds." My Thoughts: This look may be a little "cray cray." The emerald glitter liner might be a bit too much. It may be best for an evening party look. The rest of the face looks pretty. I feel like the green around my eyes brings out the green in my eyes. I don't think it's supposed to work that way, but somehow it does. For example, people with blue eyes aren't supposed to wear blue eye shadow because it doesn't really bring out the blue. I don't know if that's true.

Pretty Makeup Looks Part VI

So I'm doing another pretty looks blog. I don't know if anyone reads these or finds them useful, but I might go back and use them myself if I want a new look that I know will be pretty. There are so many looks on Youtube. Sometimes it's hard to find ones that are good tutorials. And for me, I want a look that will end up looking good on me if I copy the steps. But that is subjective. What I think looks good on me, may not look good on everyone. I think also I learn from actually doing the tutorials, not just watching them. Pretty Makeup Looks Part V

I'm back with my pretty makeup looks. If you would like to see the first four parts they are in March. I've decided this time around I want to list the look, where to find the tutorial, and then list what I used as a substitution for certain makeup products. Quite often I used an inexpensive product where in the actual tutorial the makeup was more expensive. Sometimes I used a different product just because I didn't have the same thing they had, and I wanted to use my own stuff. I think all these tutorials are pretty easy, especially if you have good brushes. I recently purchased the Sigma Mrs. Bunny brush collection. I also have Real Technique brushes I got at Fred Meyers. I like Eco Tools which you can get a drugstores and Elf brushes.

When I looked to copy I would figure out the color they were using, sometimes you can see it, they describe it, or you can google it and find a reviewer that tells you what the color is. Then you can find the match in your own collection. I think it's kind of fun. It also gives me ideas of how to do my makeup.
