March Birchbox

I have to be honest with this box. I think it looks very strange. I don't get it. It must be the latest trendy art movement?

This month's theme is creativity. I'm not sure what that has to do what is inside the box because to me it seems like the sort of things that are normally in the box, but I guess doing your hair and makeup can be a creative thing. The card says, "I feel most creative when I ... When do you feel most creative? Fill out the front of this card, share it, and tag #birchbox and #giveaway for a chance to win full-size versions of everything in your box!" I am not going to do this, but I will answer the question right now. I feel the most creative when I put on makeup. I feel like an artist.

Macadamia Natural Oil Nourishing Moisture Masque: "This luxe treatment reinforces strands for shinier, stronger, healthier-looking hair. After shampooing, coat strands from near roots to ends. Wait 7 minutes, then rinse." I think I actually already have this. If it is what I already have then I haven't noticed anything remarkable about this. It seems like a normal conditioner to me. 

Rusk Texture Dry Finishing Spray: "This medium-hold spray gives any hair volume and shape - while keeping its natural bounce. Shake well, and spray onto roots for extra oomph or your whole head for flexible hold." I will have to try this when I put my hair in a ponytail, and see if I can get more volume.

Wei Manuka Bee Venom Anti-Wrinkle Mask: "This treatment firms, softens, and minimizes fine lines, with a warm tingle as it works. Brush mask onto clean face, avoiding eyes, 1-2 times weekly. Wait 10 minutes, then rinse." I'm sort of nervous to put bee venom on my face! 

Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentre (24-Hour Miracle Cream): "A makeup artist must-have, this cult moisturizer moonlights as a primer and makeup remover. Apply a small amount to clean face and neck, or dab on with a cotton ball to remove makeup." I am the most excited to get this in my box! I have seen the Pixiwoo sisters use this many times on their Youtube makeup tutorials.

Mirenesse Mattfinity Lip Rouge in Sydney: "Velvety color with a modern matte finish. No need for lip liner. This stain stays put. Glide wand over lips. Wear as is for bright color, or blot for a subtler look." I have noticed that matte lips have been "in" lately. I don't know if this color would look good on me.

1. Nexxus Youth Renewal Rejuvenating Elixir: It's not just your skin that needs antiaging help. This new shine-boosting serum cures dry strands and reduces the odds of age-related breakage. It says "Combat 8 signs of aging hair: volume loss, breakage, less shine, roughness, dryness, brittleness, unruliness, and loss of color vibrancy." That depresses me! I remember when my hair was pretty! I'm going to try this out.

2. Simple Revitalizing Eye Roll-On: "We love sending you the latest high-end beauty essentials every month. But we also keep an eye out for affordable finds that will brighten your routine. Our newest obsession: this nifty eye roll-on from Simple Sensitive Skin Experts. It helps to reduce puffiness and revitalize tired eyes by instantly cooling and gently massaging the delicate eye area. We're adding it to your sample haul because we thing you'll love it as much as we do. And a fun tip - keep it in the refrigerator for an added cool boost in the morning." I am really bad at taking care of my eye area. I buy things with the intention of taking care of it, but I never use it. This looks like a good, sensitive product.

3. Mirenesse Glossy Kiss Lipstick: "Launching exclusively in the Birchbox Shop, this user-friendly lip pencil is a quick way to score a high-impact pout." This is in Flirty Kiss. It is bright red. The packaging says it can be used for lips and cheeks. It reminds me of Benefit Benetint's color. I like it!

4. Vitivia Pro: Vitamin Capsules: "Upgrade your skincare routine by smoothing on these nifty single-use capsules. Concentrated vitamin C brightens your skin tone, while anti aging vitamin A softens fine lines." I'm actually happy with my skin routine. I don't want to mess it up with anything else. I think I will give these to my mom.

5. Caudalie Divine Oil: "Made with a blend of grape, argan, hibiscus, and sesame oils, this multitasking wonder gives skin, hair, and nails a gorgeous glow." I've heard about this! I'm curious to try it. I won't put it on my face.

October Glam Bag/ IPSY Bag

I'm writing this post after being to the dentist and having gas, so hopefully this post isn't too crazy that I would need to delete this post.

I think that bag looks ok.

1. Pequi Oil Treatment: On the bottle it says, "Restores softness and shine." It says it calms frizziness and flyways which sounds good to me. I'll have to try it out.

2. Be A Bombshell Eye Liner in Onyx: I don't like to you black eye liner, but it looks good if I wanted to use it. I might give this to my mom.

3. The Balm What's Your Type? "The Body Builder" Mascara: The photos are kind of blurry. I don't really know what I think of this. I'll have to try it out first. I like the mascara I normally use, but this one might be good too.

4. Mirenesse Lip Bomb Glossy Lacquer Stain: I like the color. On the packaging it says, "Revolutionary Lip innovation fuses color, gloss, stain and lacquer for a super moist and velvety look. Lip Perfecting Spheres & minty breathe freshener included. Feather light, non-smearing, intense & customizable stay on lip color." I don't know what "lip perfecting spheres" are. I think the name of it is "Mirror Me."

5. Coastal Scents Eye Shadow: I have never tried their eyeshadow before, so this should be interesting. It is so cute.
