Summer Makeup 2014 Part 6

I want this summer to last forever. I keep finding summer makeup looks I want to try out. This is the most amount of tutorials I think I have found in a season. It's funny because summer when it is hot, is not really the time you want to be wearing makeup. You feel as though it will just sweat off your face. I think summer has inspired a lot of looks, and when there is air conditioning you can still have fun with your makeup.

1. Get Ready With Me: Summer Wedding by Carli Bybel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UT_3OEMa9nQ
a. Face Primer
b. Foundation, sponge
c. Cream Contour, sides of nose, hollows of cheeks, hairline, under jaw: Elf Contouring Blush & Bronzing Cream in St. Lucia
d. Brows
e. Sigma Persuade Eye Shadow Base: Jordana 12 HR Made to Last Eye Shadow Pencil in Continuous Almond
f. MAC Pigment in Melon, inner half of lid: Elf Baked Eye Shadow in Enchanted, spray brush with water
g. Elf Baked Eye Shadow in Pixie, spray brush with water, outer half of lid
h. BH Forever Nude Palette, top right color, crease: Wet 'n Wild Vanity, 2nd color
i. Same Palette, bottom right color, outer v: Wet 'n Wild Baked Not Fried, top left color
j. Black Gel Liner, upper lash line, wing
k. NYX Liquid Crystal Liner in Crystal Gold, above black liner: LA Splash Liquid Eyeliner in Golden Abalone
l. Mascara, upper lashes
m. MAC Pigment in Fuchsia, lower lash line: Wet 'n Wild Shimmer the Night Away, 6th shade
n. MAC Pigment in Pink Opal, lower lash line: Disney Ariel Storylook Eye Shadow Palette in Treasures Untold
o. Concealer, sponge
p. Powder
q. Mascara, lower lashes
r. MAC Whisper of Gilt, top of cheekbones, nose, cupid's bow: The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer
s. NYX Baked Blush in Full-On-Femme: Rimmel Lasting Finish Soft Colour Blush in Pink Rose
t. MAC Lip Liner in Oak: Boots No.7 Lip Liner in Nude
u. Dose of Colors Lipstick in Soft Touch: NYX Round Lipstick in Orange Soda
v. Whitening Lightning Color Your Smile Lighted Lip Gloss in Nude: NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Natural
My Thoughts: I think this look is very glamorous. It is very dramatic on the eyes. The eye shadow on the lid is pretty natural, but the black gel liner with the wing and the gold glitter reminds me of Cleopatra. I think the fuchsia on the lower lash line is different, but very pretty. The rest of the face (other then the golden highlight) is natural. The lips are a glossy nude. This is a look to go out in at night.

2. Get Ready With Me Theme Park Makeup + Outfits! by ThatsHeart https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vSyqPp1zJAY
a. Moisturizer
b. Eye Cream, wait a few minutes before moving on to the next step
c. Foundation, sponge
d. Concealer, sponge
e. Powder
f. Contour, jawline, cheeks, hairline
g. Forever 21 Blush: Physicians Formula Happy Booster Blush in Natural
h. Brows
i. Black Liquid Liner, upper lash line, wing
j. Mascara
k. Whitening Lightning Color Your Smile Lighted Gloss in Rose Hill: Bare Minerals 100% Natural Lip Gloss in Cassis
l. Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray: NYX Matte Finish Long Lasting Setting Spray
My Thoughts: I like it because it doesn't look like I'm wearing any makeup. I look naturally pretty.

3. Keep Calm Festival Look Chatty Tutorial by beautycrush https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PNjX6eDVHyQ
a. Foundation
b. Concealer
c. Brows
d. Powder
e. By Terry Ombre Black Star Shadow Stick in Misty Rock, blend out with finger: Maybelline Color Tattoo in Lavish Lavender
f. Mascara
g. MAC Pearl Creme Colour Base, top of cheekbones, nose, cupid's bow: Physicians Formula Mineral Glow Pearls in Translucent Pearl
h. Rimmel Stay Blushed Liquid Cheek Tint in Sunkissed Cherry: Benefit Benetint
i. Rimmel Keep Calm Lip Balm in Keep Calm & Rock: Jordana Twist & Shine Moisturizing Balm Stain in Sweet Pink
My Thoughts: I think this would also be a good look for a hot day at a fair. She said you could also wear this camping in general. The Lavish Lavender brings out my eye color. I also like how everything is budge proof: the Maybelline Color Tattoo and the stains on the cheek and lip.

4. Tarte Golden Days & Sultry Nights Amazonian Clay Shadow Palette "Golden Days"
a. Toes in the Sand, lid: Wet 'n Wild Who's Carpooling? brow bone shade
b. Espadrilles, crease: The Balm Meet Matt(e) Nude in Matt Abdul
c. Tropical Sunset, outer corner: Elf Ariel Treasure Within Beauty Book in For Shore
d. Caparinha Cocktails, inner corner, lightly under lash line: Pacifica Solar Complete Mineral Palette in Neptune
e. Ocean View, lower lash line: Pacifica Solar Complete Mineral Palette in Mermaid Aqua
f. Black Eye Liner, top lash line close to lashes
g. Mascara
My Thoughts: I found a review of this palette on a blog, and they happened to have the card that showed the day time and night time look to go with the palette. This is the day time look. The eyes are neutral on top, but the gold in the inner corner and the aqua on the lower lash line give it a pop of color for the summer. I wore Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso, and for lips I wore NYX Butter Gloss in Apple Strudel.

5. Summer Glow Complete Makeup Look & First Impressions! by ciaoobelllaxo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Pkl8EyJN9g
a. Moisturizer
b. Eye Cream
c. Primer
d. Concealer, under eye v, eyelids, blemishes
e. CC Cream
f. Powder
g. Benefit Watt's Up, top of cheekbones, above eyebrows, nose, chin, cupid's bow
h. Bronzer
i. Milani Baked Blush in Rose D'Oro
j. Brows
k. Eye Primer
l. Tarte Golden Days and Sultry Nights Summer Eye Shadow Palette, Toes in the Sand, under brow: Wet 'n Wild Who's Carpooling? brow bone color
m. Espadrilles, crease, outer lower lash line: The Balm Meet Matt(e) Nude in Matt Abdul
n. Caparinha Cocktails, lid, inner corner: Elf Beauty Book Bright Eye Edition: 3rd row, 1st shade
o. Setting Spray
p. White Eye Liner, waterline
q. Mascara
r. Fake Lashes
s. Benefit either Posi, Lolli, or Cha Cha Balm (She doesn't say which one she used.) Fresh Sugar Rose Lip Balm
t. Urban Decay Native Lip Liner: NYX Lip Liner in Nude Pink
u. NYX Chunky Dunk Hydrating Lippie in Pink Bikini: L'Oreal Colour Riche Extraordinary Lip Color in Nude Ballet
My Thoughts: The eyes are a shimmery gold on the lid. There is taupe in the crease. I put on Urban Decay's Subversion Lash Primer, and that really does an amazing job of priming your lashes. My lashes look so full and long. The lips are a pinkish nude. The blush is a natural flush. I don't like to look too glowing in the summer because then I feel like I just look oily. I like to be glowy in certain spots of my face.

6. My Summer Routine by Kalyn Nicholson https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3OfiZNGaOmQ
a. Foundation
b. Concealer
c. Powder
d. Brows
e. Sigma Eye Shadow Base: Jordana 12 HR Made to Last Eye Shadow Pencil in Continuous Almond
f. Wet 'n Wild Comfort Zone, 2nd color, lid
g. Wet 'n Wild Comfort Zone, 1st color, inner corner
h. Mascara
i. Bronzer, under cheekbones, temples, hairline, under jaw, sides of nose
j. NYC Color Wheel Mosaic Face Powder: She doesn't say which one she used, but I used Pink Cheek Glow
k. The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer, top of cheekbones, sides of eyes, nose, middle of forehead, cupid's bow, middle of chin
l. EOS Lip Balm
m. Annabelle Twist Up in Absolute, line and fill in lips: Maybelline Color Elixir in Radiant Bloom
My Thoughts: This is a really simple look. I like it because she used products I already have. This feels like a classic summer look. It doesn't look like you are wearing a lot of makeup. The eyelid color in The Comfort Zone palette is a beautiful rose gold color. Pink Cheek Glow is a really pretty, natural pink blush. I should use this blush more often. NYC is inexpensive.

7. Get Ready With Me Summer Peach by MakeupByAlli https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IRoB3Dq29T8
a. Foundation
b. Eye Primer
c. Brows
d. Lip Balm
e. Lorac Pro Palette 2, Buff, under brow: Sephora Disney Jasmine Palette in Ali Ababwa
f. Lorac Pro Palette 2, Snow, under highest part of brow arch: The Balm Nude'tude in Sassy

h. MAC Brown Script, outer v: Revlon Colorstay Palette in Attitude, bottom left color
i. MAC Melon Pigment, lid: Wet 'n Wild Greed Palette, 2nd color
j. Black Liquid Liner, upper lash line
k. Concealer
l. NARS Olympia, lighter color to set concealer: Bare Minerals Well Rested
m. Black Eye Liner, waterline
n. Lorac Pro Palette 2 in Beige and MAC Nylon, inner corner highlight: Disney Sephora Magic Carpet Ride Palette in Splendid and Wet 'n Wild Walking on Eggshells, top color

t. MAC Sweet and Sour Lipstick: Rimmel Crush
u. a little of MAC Sushi Kiss Lipstick: Rimmel Show Off Lip Laquer in Luna
v. NYX Butter Gloss in Fortune Cookie: NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Natural
w. NYX Butter Gloss in Creme Brûlée
My Thoughts: She combined colors a lot I noticed, mixing eye shadows, blush and 4 different lip products! This look uses a lot of makeup, but it looks pretty. You can see the peach color on the eyes, cheeks, and lips.

8. My Go-To, Everyday Bronze Look + Mascara Tips! by MakeupByAlli https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3IhTze0Vi1U
a. Makeup Geek Creme Brûlée, crease: Wet 'n Wild Vanity, 2nd color
b. Blend it out with a large fluffy brush.
c. Lorac Unzipped Palette, Unattainable, lid: Urban Decay Mariposa Palette in Wreckage
d. Same Palette, Undercover, brow bone, blend out the crease, inner corner: Wet 'n Wild Vanity, 4th color
e. Same Palette Uncensored, lower lash line, leave a little space near the tear duct for the inner corner highlight: Wet 'n Wild A Great Glistener, 2nd row, 3rd color
f. Same Palette Unattainable, outer edge of the lower lash line
g. Same Palette Unbridled, outer half of upper lash line, outer v: The Balm Nude'tude Palette in Sexy
h. Mascara
    1. She does tips first.
    2. Then she does roots to the ends.
    3. 2nd coat, she gets the little lashes in the inner corners.
    4. Bottom lashes
i. Bronzer, cheeks, hairline, blend it out
j. NARS Blush in Torrid: Milani Baked Blush in Dolce Pink
k. Becca Moonstone Highlighting Powder, top of cheekbones: The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer
l. NYX Matte Lipstick in Couture: Milani Color Statement Lipstick in Fruit Punch
m. NYX Matte Lipstick in Forbidden: NYX Round Lipstick in Orange Soda
n. NYX Butter Gloss in Creme Brûlée
My Thoughts: She says this is her go to summer look. The eyes are bronze, the cheeks are a natural pink, and the lips are a bright pink color. This is a cute summertime look.

Fall Makeup Looks Part 2

I love the fall makeup looks because I think the looks of this season go best with my coloring. Have you ever heard of being color matched to a season? I was matched to fall. This was a thing that was popular in the 80's, and my mom did a workshop on it. She always dressed me in fall colors even though in the 80's those weren't popular colors. There were more pinks and purples. I don't know if everyone fits a certain season, but I think it works for me. I have been finding a lot of makeup looks to try out. I want to share them with you.

These are the products I've been using most often.

Concealer: Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Treatment Concealer in Brightener (under eyes), Boots No.7 Stay Perfect Blemish Cover in Extra Fair (for blemishes)
Eye Shadow Primer: Milani Eyeshadow Primer
Mascara: Benefit They're Real! (top lashes), Maybelline Lash Discovery Mini-Brush Waterproof in Very Black (bottom lashes)
Black Eye Liner: Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Zero
Face Primer: Neutrogena Shine Control Primer

Powder: Neutrogena Shine Control Powder

Brown Eye Liner: Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal in Brown
Black/Brown Eye Liner: L'Oreal Colour Riche Eyeliner in Black/Brown

p. NARS Laguna Bronzer, hollows of cheeks, hairline: NYC Sunny Bronzer
q. Stila Highlighter Duo, top of cheekbones, nose: Stila Kitten Eye Shadow
r. MAC Oak Lip Pencil, line lips: Boots No.7 Lip Liner in Nude
s. MAC Pure Zen Lipstick: Revlon Lip Butter in Creamsicle
t. MAC Wildly Lush Plush Glass: Wet 'n Wild Glassy Gloss Lip Gel in Through the Looking Glass
u. Urban Decay Setting Spray: I used All Nighter by Urban Decay.
My Thoughts: This has fall colors all over the face. The eyes are coppery, the face is bronzed, and the lips are a glossy nude. The eyes really stand out. I think Cheryl is a good makeup artist. I just recently found her blog, and then saw that she made videos. I'm really loving her videos. She seems really humble and sweet. She is pregnant. She is absolutely gorgeous.

2. Smokey Fall Eye Look: Lorac Pro To-Go Palette! by ciaoobelllaxo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBQQZX6ceuM

c. Same Palette, Pearl, inner corner: Hard Candy Baked Eye Shadow in High Maintenance
d. Same Palette, Cafe, crease: Wet 'n Wild Nude Awakenings, 3rd color
e. Same Palette, Mink, eyelid: Elf Beauty Clutch 4th row, 7th color
f. Same palette, Chai, inner half of lid, middle: Stila In The Light Palette, Gilded Gold
g. MAC Soft Brown, crease: 2nd shade in Maybelline Sunbaked Neutrals

o. Bronzer, hollows of cheeks, temples
p. Lorac Pro To-Go Palette Coral Blush: Elf Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder in St. Lucia

a. Moisturizer
b. Foundation

d. Maybelline Color Tattoo in Tough As Taupe, eyelid

t. MAC Hue Lipstick: Maybelline Color Sensational Porcelains in Nude Nuances
u. Dior 001 Lip Gloss Maximizer: Wet 'n Wild Through The Looking Glass Lip Gloss
v. Urban Decay Setting Spray: Urban Decay All Nighter
My Thoughts: This is a really pretty fall look. The eyes are a smoky taupe. The cheeks are a bronzed rose color, perfect for cold months. The lips are a glossy nude, so the eyes are the focus. I think I like it best when the eyes are the focus. When I'm not wearing much eye shadow I feel like I look tired, and also it is out of my comfort zone to wear bold lips.

4. Maybelline Fall 2013 Runway Collection: "Autumn Dream" Eyeshadow Palette, Swatches & Makeup Look by Beauty Gala http://www.beautygala.com/brands/maybelline-fall-2013-runway-collection-autumn-dream-eyeshadow-palette-swatches-makeup-look/
a. Using one side of a flat eyeshadow brush, apply the purple over entire lid.
b. Dip the other side of the brush in the blue, and pat on the outer half of lid.
c. Flip the brush over again and apply the purple where the two colors meet.
d. Keep flipping the brush back and forth with each color until you get a really nice blended gradient look.
e. She did the same effect to the lower lash line.
f. Apply the emerald green shade in the crease, and blend it out well with a fluffy blending brush.
g. Use the off white in the inner corners of eyes and browbone as a highlight.
h. Black Eye Liner to waterline
i. Mascara
My Thoughts: I like the colors in this quad because they are jewel tones and I heard that that is "in" this fall. It looks dramatic, but it is pretty. For blush I'm wearing Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso because I think the peach looks pretty with the purple eye makeup. For lips I'm wearing Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Pango Peach to go with the blush, and it is a gloss so it doesn't take away from the dramatic eye look.

i. Same Palette, 2nd color, lower lash line, underneath the 3rd color
j. Same Palette, 1st color inner corner, lower lash line inner 1/3
k. Brown Eye Liner, tightline, waterline
l. Same Palette, 4th color, waterline
m. Mascara
n. Rimmel Show Off Lip Lacquer in Celestial
o. Wet 'n Wild Blush in Pearlescent Pink
My Thoughts: This is a pretty fall look. The eyes are fall inspired. The cheeks are a peachy pink. The lips are a mauve/pink. I like the tutorial because the person seems really down to earth and does a good job of showing what she is doing. I subscribed to her.

m. Sleek Rose Gold Blush: Covergirl Blush in Pretty Peach
n. Bronzer, hollows of cheeks, temples, jawline
o. MAC Syrup Lipstick: Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Sugar Plum
My Thoughts: I should have known better because this isn't the first time I used this eyeshadow, but when using w/w vanity 3rd color, be very careful because it is very pigmented. I put too much on. The eyes are pretty neutral. The blush is one of my favorite peachy pink colors. The lips are a beautiful color for the fall and winter time. The sugar plum lip butter is one of my favorite lip products.

h. MAC Lip Liner in Boldly Bare, line and fill lips in: Elf Feather Proof Moisturizing Lip Liner in Bark
i. Boujoir SS1 Lip Gloss: Bare Escentuals Buxom Lip Gloss in Amber
My Thoughts: I really like this look. All the colors are peachy. The black eye shadow and liner help to define the eyes. This is a good redhead look.

I hope you like my Fall Favorite Makeup Looks. I have more to come!

Summer Favorite Makeup Looks Part 4

I can't believe I'm already on part 4 of the summer favorite looks! It's good to know there are lot of good makeup tutorials on Youtube. I'm sure there are a ton that I'm not even aware of. I like having lots of ideas of how to wear makeup. It gives me something new to learn, and I get to know the things I like. It's interesting how there are certain colors I like and it doesn't matter what season it is, but then there are certain makeup looks or colors I like only for a certain season. When I first started wearing makeup I only wore the same eye shadow every single day, and the same blush, etc. It was good in that I got really good at doing the same look every day, so I could do it really fast for school in the morning. Now I am the complete opposite. I am always changing what I wear because I like to be creative. It is like being an artist on your face.

Sometimes I use the same products over and over again. In that case I will list them here. I don't use all of these products every time. I just may use a nude eye liner for a few looks and I will just say Nude Eye Liner. In that case I will use what I mention in this list. Also, this summer I'm having trouble finding the right foundation to wear, so my skin is happy. I am trying out different foundations, a bb cream, a tinted moisturizer, and a cc cream. I just list here some things I tried, but I'm still deciding which ones work the best for my skin. In the winter time I was really happy with Revlon Color Stay Foundation for dry skin, but now that the weather has changed my combination skin has changed too, and I need a different foundation. My concealers are still working good.

Concealer: Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer in Radiant (under eyes)
Bronzer: Maybelline Dream Sun Bronzing Powder in Matte Light
Eye Shadow Primer: Milani Eyeshadow Primer
Mascara: Maybelline The Rocket Volum' Express Waterproof in Very Black (top lashes), Covergirl Lash Perfection in Black (on top of first mascara), Maybelline Lash Discovery Mini-Brush Waterproof in Very Black (bottom lashes), Maybelline Volum' Express Falsies Big Eyes Waterproof Mascara in Very Black (it has a wand for upper and lower lashes)
Face Primer: Pixi Flawless & Poreless Face Primer in Translucent
Foundation: Rimmel Clean Finish Matte Foundation in Ivory, Revlon Colorstay Foundation for Combination/Oily Skin in Ivory, Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-In-Place Makeup SPF 10 in Desert Beige
Powder: (I change what powder I use.) Maybelline Dream Matte Powder in Light, Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Translucent
Lip Balm: Maybelline Baby Lips in Quenched
Setting Spray: Urban Decay De-slick Oil-Control Makeup Setting Spray
Tinted Moisturizer: Elf Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 in Porcelain
Black Liquid Liner: Jordana Incolor Fabuliner Liquid Eye Liner in Black
Black Eye Liner: Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Zero
Nude Eye Liner: Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal in Nude
BB Cream: Physicians Formula Super BB Cream in Light/Medium
CC Cream: Almay Smart Shade CC Cream SPF 35 in Light

These are all looks I've already tried out and I recommend them. They are mostly Youtube makeup tutorials that I have copied to the best of my ability. If I don't have the makeup product the artist uses, I use my own that is similar. A lot of times I use a cheaper product.

1. Neutral & Pink for Summer + Hair and Nails by ThatsHeart http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=orvwnvat-lY
a. Foundation
b. Concealer
c. Powder
d. Eye Primer
e. Too Faced Natural Palette, Push-up, eyelid: Elf Baked Eye Shadow in Toasted
f. Same Palette, Cocoa Puff, crease: Maybelline Eye Studio in Natural Shock, 4th color
g. Clean brush to blend it out.
h. Gel Liner in Purple, upper lash line, little wing: Physicians Formula for Hazel Eyes Gel Eye Liner in Purple
i. Mascara
j. Light Brown Eye Shadow, lower lash line: Wet 'n Wild Vanity, 2nd color
k. Bronzer, hollows of cheeks, forehead, jawline, neck
l. NYX Mosaic Blush in Dare: Bare Minerals Blush in Joyous Jennifer
m. Starlooks Lip Pencil in Tipsy, line and fill in lips: L'Oreal Infallible Never Fail Lip Liner in Coral
n. Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Pink in the Afternoon
My Thoughts: The color in the crease is very pigmented. A little goes a long way. Watch the video to see how she does the wing. She makes it look so easy! I try to do it like her, but I fail. :( Maybe I look better without the wing. I like to do the lower lash line makeup before I put on mascara on the lower lash line. That way it doesn't smudge. Pink in the Afternoon is one of my all time favorite lipsticks.

p. NYX Lip Liner in Beige: Boots No.7 Line and Define Lip Liner in Nude
q. L'Oreal Le Gloss in Nude Illusion: Urban Decay Lip Junkie Lip Gloss in Midnight Cowboy
My Thoughts: I wasn't sure how I would like the hot pink liner on my lower lash line. When I got that Woodstock liner in a beauty box, I thought for sure I would never use it. But the color from the I'm Getting Sunburned palette makes it look a little more purple, which is more wearable for me. I think the pink makes my hazel eyes look green. I think it's cool when my eyes do that. The eyelid color is so pretty! This would be a pretty eye for the fall. The look is really pretty.

i. Nyx Stick Blush in Tea Rose
j. Ulta Automatic Lip Liner in Bloom, line and fill in lips, blot it: Prestige Lip Liner in Baby
k. Revlon Color Stay Kissable Balm Stain in Crush: Elf Jumbo Lip Gloss in Movie Star
My Thoughts: The colors in this tutorial are so pretty, from the eyes to the cheeks to the lips. I've never thought of putting these makeup items together, but it looks good! That's why I love getting ideas from the internet. I also sprayed the Urban Decay De-Slick Oil-Control Makeup Setting Spray, so I'm interested to see how long this makeup wears. I thought this would be a good tutorial for the summer because if it is waterproof, then that means it's sweat proof too. The lip liner is one of my favorites.

x. Milani Lipstick in Nude Creme
y. Elf Lip Gloss, nude: Bonne Bell Lip Lites in Cappuccino
z. Urban Decay All Nighter Spray, arms length away
My Thoughts: The L'Oreal Visible Lift in Coral Lift is really pretty. This is my first time using it. The Newport Nights middle color looks really pretty on top of Bad to the Bronze. It seems strange to use a shadow on the lower lash line, then layer it with brown eye liner, and then put the shadow on top of that. But Wing (the makeup artist for this tutorial) said this will ensure the makeup will last longer. This look might be a lot of makeup to wear on a hot, summer day. The eyes are very smoldering. The look reminds me of a Victoria Secret model look.

5. Aqua Eyes for Summer w/New BH Cosmetics Malibu Palette by samanthaschuerman http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZ3AzEfjIhM

p. Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Lipstick in Be Free: Revlon Lipstick in Pink Pout
q. Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Lip Gloss in Show Off: Prestige Skin Loving Minerals Lasting Moisture Lip Gloss in Soft Peach
My Thoughts: I heard somewhere that aqua is a good color for hazel eyes. I think it also looks good with red hair. I think the nude in the waterline looks pretty with the aqua. The cheek color looks good with the aqua too. I don't really like Pink Pout on my lips, but it looks good when I put a peach gloss on the top. I really like this look! It is perfect for the summertime! I might wear this look for the 4th of July.

m. Top Shop Lipstick in Saint: Revlon Lipstick in Pink Pout
n. Elf Mist & Set
My Thoughts: This look is really easy, and it looks so natural. I love it! I didn't know if it would look good on me because she doesn't put any eyeshadow on, but it looks good because of the black liquid liner. I waited to put mascara on my lower lashes until after concealer, nude liner on the waterline, and charcoal on the lower lash line. I don't mention voussontbeauetbelle very much on my blog, but she is a really cute girl to watch. I love her videos.

m. Urban Decay Baked Eyeliner, waterline: Elf Shimmer Eyeliner Pencil in Boldly Bronzed
n. MAC Lip Glass in Ablaze: Revlon Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti
My Thoughts: The blush combo is really pretty. Maybe wait to do your lower lash mascara until after you put the eyeliner on the lower lashes. This look is really pretty on warm toned colored people. There is coral on the eyes, cheeks, and lips. It looks really pretty once you are done with the whole look. It is also very summer appropriate.

n. Mascara
o. Revlon Lipstick in Apricot Fantasy: Revlon Colorburst in Soft Nude
p. NYX Lip Gloss in Apricot: Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Coral Reef
My Thoughts: The Milani Shadow Eyez in Royal Purple is a little too red, so it looked bad in the waterline. Get a darker purple to put in the waterline. I put Wet 'n Wild Color Icon Eye Liner in Amethyst over the waterline to make it look more purple. Overall, I like this look.

Winter Looks Part 1

I thought I already did a post about winter make up looks last year, but I guess I didn't. I found some looks that I like, but I didn't feel I had enough looks to make a post about it. I saved those looks from last year and I added to it this year. These are my favorites.

What I do is I list the name of the look, who did it, the link to their tutorial, and then I list each step they took to create the look. Sometimes I list what they used and sometimes I just say the makeup because I don't feel it's important what they used, for example I will just say "powder" and not say what brand of powder. Next to what they used I say where they put the eyeshadow, or bronzer or highlighter or whatever. For blush I don't say because I feel like that depends on your face. Sometimes what the makeup artist did is complicated for me to explain so I say, "see tutorial" to see exactly what they did. If you are new to make up, I would suggest you watch the videos and pause it while you put on your makeup with the makeup artist. This has helped me. Next to what the artist did I list what product I used to copy what they did. I don't run out to buy the same makeup they used because I have a ton of makeup already. I want to use what I have. I try to copy the same color, consistency, and brush the makeup artist uses. In this post I'm also going to say where I purchased my make up, in case you are new and don't know where to find something. Some of my makeup has been discontinued or was limited edition, but it is easily dupable. Which means you could easily find a copy of it. Sometimes I don't list anything after what the makeup artist used because I am using the same thing.

These are the products I used, if not stated in the look.

1. Face Primer: Hard Candy Sheer Envy Skin Illuminating Primer (I got this at Walmart.) I have started using a more moisturizing primer on my forehead because this winter I've noticed it is dryer than the rest of my face. I use L'Oreal Studio Secrets Professional Magic Perfecting Base. I got this from a drugstore.
2. Eye Primer: Too Faced Shadow Insurance (Sephora)
3. Foundation: Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-In-Place Makeup SPF 10 in Shell (Nordstrom) For my forehead I use Covergirl Natureluxe Foundation in Alabaster (drugstore).
4. Concealer for under eyes: Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer in Ivory (drugstore)
5. Concealer for redness and pimples: Hard Candy Glamoflauge Heavy Duty Concealer in Light (Walmart)
6. Powder: Bare Minerals Mineral Veil (Nordstrom)
7. Bronzer/Contour: Mac Studio Careblend Pressed Powder in Medium Deep (Nordstrom)
8. Mascara for top lashes: Covergirl Clump Crusher by Lashblast Water Resistant in Very Black (drugstore)
9. Mascara for bottom lashes: Maybelline Lash Discovery Mini-Brush Waterproof in Very Black (drugstore)
10. Black Eye Liner: Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Zero (IPSY Bag, mail delivery)
11. Brown Eye Liner: Milani Liquif'eye Metallic Eye Liner Pencil in Brown (Fred Meyer)
12. Black Liquid Liner: Eyeko London Skinny Mini Liquid Eyeliner in Black (Birchbox, mail delivery)
13. Black Gel Liner: Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Liner in Blackest Black (drugstore)
14. Red Lip Liner: Rimmel Lasting Finish 1000 Kisses Stay On Lip Contouring Pencil in Red Dynamite (drugstore)
15. Mac 217 Brush: 1/4" Loew-Cornell AMM Mini Mop from Michael's (craft store, art brush)

I don't include what they did to their eyebrows because I feel like my eyebrows are dark enough I don't need to mess with them. I also don't say anything about false lashes because I don't wear them.

w. Pumpkin & Poppy Cosmetics Pink & Lilac Moisturizing Lip Gloss: Revlon Colorburst Lip Gloss in Pink Ice (drugstore)
My Thoughts: She used the same brush for all the eye shadows! She used The Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush (Fred Meyers). She used a small angled brush to set the brown liner. The eye look is really tricky. I did it watching the tutorial. My eyes still didn't turn out as good as her eyes. This is a blue/gray smokey eye.

Favorite Holiday Looks Part 1

There have been so many holiday looks this year on Youtube. I think I might go into January with favorite holiday looks. I guess it makes the wintertime more exciting. I noticed that this year I have a longer list of holiday looks than I had last year. These are largely supposed to be worn for parties, but I've been wearing them for regular makeup days. I know I'm weird. It makes life more fun, somehow.
Anyway, these are the first ten looks I have liked the most. I call this part 1 because I'm sure to have more looks I like and I will share in the future.

This is what I wear for every look:
Eye Primer: Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Face Primer: Hard Candy Sheer Envy Skin Illuminating Primer
Foundation: Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-In-Place Makeup SPF 10 in Shell
Concealer: Maybelline Dream Lumi Concealer in Ivory
Powder: Bare Minerals Mineral Veil
Mascara: for top lashes: The Balm What's Your Type? "The Body Builder"
lower lashes: Maybelline Lash Discovery Mini-Brush Waterproof
Bronzer: Mac Studio Careblend Pressed Powder in Medium Deep

1. Green and Gold Holiday Makeup Tutorial by xeverygirlx http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_SGWTRezXDU
a. gold inner 1/3: I used Maybelline Enchanted Forest, lid color
b. yellow green, other part of lid: I used Wet 'n Wild Trio in Flora, brow bone color
c. orange crease: I used Physicians Formula Brown Eye Candy, 7th color
d. olive outer corner and outer crease: I used Maybelline Enchanted Forest, crease
e. off white under brows: I used Wet 'n Wild Vanity, 1st color
f. gold lower lash line inner half
g. yellow green lower lash line outer half
h. olive little bit of lower lash line in the outer part
i. brown eyeliner waterline and upper lash line
j. Mac Blush in Gingerly: I used L'Oreal True Match in Bare Honey
k. Korres Lip Butter in Wild Rose: I used Revlon Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie
My Thoughts: The gold and yellow green aren't very pigmented. I messed up on the liner. Don't use Covergirl Liquiline Blast in Brown Blaze, and use a q-tip to blend it out, not the smudgy end because it made the line too thick. This look is different than what I normally like, but I do like it.

2. Blake Lively Make Up Tutorial by pixiwoo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rbGcWxyGDFE
a. Dior Christmas Palette Night Golds
b. bottom right color on lid and lower lash line: I used Elf Day 2 Night mixed with Milani Drenched in gold

n. Red lip liner: I used Rimmel Lasting Finish 1000 Kisses Stay On Lip Contouring Pencil in Red Dynamite
o. Mac Scarlet Ibis Lipstick: I used Wet 'n Wild Salsa Lessons
My Thoughts: I used the black eyeliner on the lower lash line and then smudged it out with a q-tip. Then the line was too thick so I got makeup remover and made the line thinner. It seems like she put too many eye products on the lower lash line in my opinion. I don't think it was necessary to put the black eyeshadow on because we already have the Kumaon shadow on. I'm not used to wearing the gold glitter. I think it does look festive though. The red lips make me feel like Marilyn Monroe. This look may be too dramatic for day time, but I think I like it.

My Thoughts: It would be best to watch the video while doing the eyes. The eyes were not easy for me to do. It might have easier if I had time to rewatch the video and do it with Sam. In the end I like the look.

Favorite Fall Looks Part 1

I like to watch the different videos on Youtube that show how to do different makeup looks. I keep track of them and try to copy them on myself. Sometimes I like it and sometimes I don't like it. I think it has helped me improve my makeup applying skills and it gives me different ideas of what makeup to use. By now I have enough different colors that I feel I can dupe just about anything. Mostly my makeup is the kind you can find at the drugstore. Sometimes I have more expensive things, but not usually.

These are my favorite makeup looks for this Fall that I've worn and loved. I record what the person on Youtube used, and then I write what I used. Sometimes I used the same thing, but normally the person on Youtube used something more expensive than what I used. I call this part one because there are a lot of looks I still want to try and I probably will like some of them, so I will do another blog post about it. I hope you enjoy and find it helpful!

I didn't keep track of what people used for some makeup products. This is what I always use:

Eye Primer: Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Liquid Liner: Jordana Fabuliner Liquid Eye Liner in Brown
Eye Liner: Covergirl Liquiline Blast in Brown Blaze
Mascara: Maybelline One by One Volume Express Mascara for top lashes, Maybelline Lash Discovery Mini-Brush Waterproof in Very Black for lower lashes
Foundation: Covergirl Natureluxe Liquid Silk Foundation in Alabaster

This has a nude lip. I'm not sure if nude lip looks good on me. I think overall it's a very sexy look. It's not what I normally wear, but I like it.
