Favorite Holiday Looks Part 1

There have been so many holiday looks this year on Youtube. I think I might go into January with favorite holiday looks. I guess it makes the wintertime more exciting. I noticed that this year I have a longer list of holiday looks than I had last year. These are largely supposed to be worn for parties, but I've been wearing them for regular makeup days. I know I'm weird. It makes life more fun, somehow.

Anyway, these are the first ten looks I have liked the most. I call this part 1 because I'm sure to have more looks I like and I will share in the future.

My Thoughts: The gold and yellow green aren't very pigmented. I messed up on the liner. Don't use Covergirl Liquiline Blast in Brown Blaze, and use a q-tip to blend it out, not the smudgy end because it made the line too thick. This look is different than what I normally like, but I do like it.

My Thoughts: I used the black eyeliner on the lower lash line and then smudged it out with a q-tip. Then the line was too thick so I got makeup remover and made the line thinner. It seems like she put too many eye products on the lower lash line in my opinion. I don't think it was necessary to put the black eyeshadow on because we already have the Kumaon shadow on. I'm not used to wearing the gold glitter. I think it does look festive though. The red lips make me feel like Marilyn Monroe. This look may be too dramatic for day time, but I think I like it.

My Thoughts: It would be best to watch the video while doing the eyes. The eyes were not easy for me to do. It might have easier if I had time to rewatch the video and do it with Sam. In the end I like the look.

Summer Makeup Looks Part II

These are a bunch of looks I've found on Youtube that I've recreated and have liked this summer. If you want to see part 1 it is under my June blogs. I just say where I found the look and any products I used to substitute for makeup the original person used. Also, I don't include foundation, concealer, primer, mascara, brows, bronzer, powder, gel liner, liquid liner, or lip balm. I just figure we all use our own stuff anyway, unless we are looking to purchase something new and we want to try out what someone on youtube is using. I hope this is helpful. My Thoughts: I need to be careful when putting concealer on my lids because there are areas where I have a weird eye reaction. I don't know if it is because my eyes are really dry in some spots. I found that my Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Dark Circle Roller Concealer worked best on my lids. Maybe because it had more moisture than my other concealer. I like this look. It looks natural and pretty.

Urban Decay Naked Palette Looks

For awhile I have seen a lot of looks of Youtube and blogs that were using the Urban Decay Naked Palette. I guess a lot of people request looks because they have the palette and they would like more ideas on how to use it. Since I sort of have the Naked Palette because I got dupes for all the colors I was curious to see the different looks. I took notes on my favorites. This is a collection of those. I will include the links where I found them, so you can watch the original video or see the original blog if you would like. I wrote down the makeup they used, and the makeup I used if I didn't have the same product and a lot of times I didn't. I tried all these looks in the morning before I would go to work, usually. If the look was a little too smokey I tried to make note of it. It doesn't mean I didn't think it was pretty, I just thought maybe it was a little too dramatic for day time. Look 1
She used a cheek tint in Score by Urban Decay for cheeks and lips, this is a rosy pink brown with pale champagne shimmer. I used NYC Blushable Creme Stick in Berry New Yorker.
My Thoughts: It is really wearable and easy to do.

Look 2 (5:00 mark in video)
She used a Stila eye liner in a peachy color in the waterline. I used Pixie Eye Bright Liner. For blush she used Tarte Blush in Tipsy. I used Elf All Over Cover Stick in Golden Peach. For highlighter she used Tarte Smooth Operator. I used Bare Minerals Flawless Radiance. For lips she wore Urban Decay Lipstick in Indecent and MUD lipgloss in Cantaloupe. I wore Revlon Lip Butter in Peach Parfait.

Look 3 (10:20 mark in video)
This is more of a night time look. She used for blush Tarte Exposed. I used Rimmel Mauve Cool Blush. For lip gloss she used Urban Decay Pocket Rocket in David. I used Prestige Lip Gloss in Delicate Mauve.
