Urban Decay Eyeshadow Ammo Shadow Box Dupes

I figured out that once you can dupe the Urban Decay Naked Palette and the Alice in Wonderland Palette you can dupe a few more of the palettes since they repeat eyeshadows. I just wanted to include those palettes that you can dupe once you have those other two. Once I figured out all these palettes I've been able to dupe, I feel like I have all these cool Urban Decay palettes! Use your own eyeshadows to dupe, don't just go by mine. I'm including blogs that have reviews, swatches, and pictures of the original palettes so you can find your own dupes. I also want to mention again that sometimes the e.l.f. dupes aren't very pigmented compared to Urban Decay. I tried to find the most pigmented. The good thing is that sometimes the Urban Decay eye shadows have a lot of glitter fall out, so the dupes may actually be better than the real thing in that regard.

Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland Palette Dupes!

For review and swatches: http://www.musingsofamuse.com/2010/01/urban-decay-alice-in-wonderland-book-of-shadow-review-swatches-and-photos.html

When this palette came out, I fell in love with the packaging. I didn't buy it, but I just really admired it. After doing my research to dupe the Urban Decay Naked Palette, I got obsessed with duping the Alice in Wonderland one. This one was more difficult for me for some reason. What is great about this palette is that it is a recreate of other popular Urban Decay shadows. They just changed the names to fit the Alice in Wonderland theme. I think if you have these shadows or dupes you can recreate a lot of looks people have created using older Urban Decay palettes.

I also love the movies, the Disney one and the Tim Burton one. Aren't the pop up's so cute in the palette?!

Also the e.l.f. Beauty Eye Manual Bright Eye Edition has been said to have a lot of dupes to the Alice in Wonderland palette, but it should be mentioned that the Urban Decay shadows are way more pigmented than e.l.f.

Stila for E! Live From the Red Carpet Breathtaking Beauty Palette Dupes

For review and swatches: http://www.beautyjunkiesunite.com/WP/2011/01/24/stila-e-live-from-the-red-carpet-breathtaking-beauty-palette-review-swatches/

These palettes are supposed to be everything you need for a red carpet look. I agree. All three of the palettes look glamorous and classically beautiful. They are looks to wear at a nighttime event.

1. Cinema: Revlon Colorstay 12 Hours quad in Coffee Bean, first shade
2. Best Picture: e.l.f. Beauty Book Bright Eye Edition, 2nd shade
3. Film: Wet 'n Wild Color Icon Palette in Greed, 6th shade

My Thoughts: I really like the lip combination.

My First Haul!!!

I see these all the time on Youtube and beauty blogs. I decided to do one myself. I actually took pictures this time to include in the blog post! This is a first for me, so hopefully I will be able to figure it out. It's amazing to me how easy it is to create a blog.

I went to Fred Meyer's and Rite Aid searching for Wet 'n Wild's newest nail polish collection, "On the Prowl." I really want the gold/bronze glitter one called, "Cougar Attack." I can't find this collection. But that didn't stop me from buying anything. There was a special at Fred Meyer's buy one, get another 1/2 off so that was really cool.

These are swatches from Physician's Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Gel Cream Liner. This is the new "Glam Collection." I was very excited when I saw this in the store. This is for hazel eyes. From left to right the shades are: Antique Gold, Metallic Amethyst, and Black + Gold Shimmer. I have gotten these kinds of gel liners before, and I knew they would be good quality.

The next from left to right is Physician's Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Mascara Duos. They each have black mascara with them. The first was purple, second green, and third from the new "Glam Collection" is in gold. The purple is supposed to be for brown eyes. The green is for green eyes. The gold is for hazel eyes. I also got the blue one, but I gave that to my friend. I've been trying this new thing where I try to compliment my makeup to the clothes I'm wearing. So let's say I was wearing a blue shirt, I would wear golden eye makeup because those are complimentary colors. I think I would always wear a mix of the black with color and not just the colored mascara alone.

These are the mascaras and liners together.

From left to right are swatches of Wet 'n Wild Color Icon eyeliner in 657 Deep Blue, NYC Sparkle Eye Dust in Champagne, and NYC Sparkle Eye Dust in Sunkissed Sand. I don't have a blue eyeliner and I had seen these dusts before and they looked really pretty.

This shows the NYC sparkles, the eyeliner, and I also got a Posh Duo foundation brush and concealer. I have the Posh crease brushes and they are really soft and fit nicely in the crease. I needed a sharp tweezer too. That one has leopard print on it.

Stila Front Cover Look No. 4 Dupes

For review and swatches: http://www.makeupandbeautyblog.com/cosmetics/wedding-palette-auditions-stila-front-cover-look-no-4/

On this palette it says, "Classic beauty icon. Three great eye shadows for the Hollywood look. Turn up the heat with Stila cheek color. Stila It Gloss. Inviting you inside for shimmering lips."

1. Nude: e.l.f. Beauty Book Bright Eye Edition, 5th shade
2. Icon: e.l.f. Beauty Book Bright Eye Edition, 1st color
3. Twig: e.l.f. Beauty Book Bright Eye Edition, 8th shade
4. Heat blush: I don't have a peachy tan matte, I just have a tan bronzer. Let's try NYC Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder in Sunny.
5. Inviting lipgloss: Prestige Skin Loving Minerals Lasting Moisture Lip Gloss in Soft Peach

My Thoughts: The eyes and lips are so glittery. It's a little too much. Maybe someone with a different coloring than me could pull this look off. Maybe the Stila shades weren't as glittery as my shades.

Stila Front Cover Look No. 3 Dupes

For review and swatches: http://www.makeupandbeautyblog.com/face-of-the-day-fotd/face-of-the-day-with-stilas-red-carpet-looks-palette/

On this palette it says, "Red carpet looks."

1. Shell: e.l.f. Beauty Eye Manual Bright Eye Edition, pink
2. Puck: Covergirl Tapestry Taupe
3. Dahlia: Wet 'n Wild Color Icon Palette in Lust, 3rd shade
4. Fade blush: Rimmel Natural Bronzer in Sun Dance 027
5. It Gloss in Sweet: Palladio Herbal Lip Gloss in Clearly Coral

My Thoughts: This is a nighttime look. I like the deep purple in my crease. I think it makes my hazel eyes pop. Also, the coral lips look pretty against the purple. I'm not sure what to think about the blush, which is more like a bronzer color. Am I supposed to wear it all over my face or contour? I guess it is up to the user to decide. I wonder if these palettes came with face charts.

Stila Front Cover Look No. 2 Dupes

For Review and Swatches: http://www.makeupandbeautyblog.com/face-of-the-day-fotd/wedding-palette-auditions-stila-cover-look-no-2/

On this palette it says "A timeless natural look is achieved."

1. Lame: Wet 'n Wild Color Icon Palette in Vanity, 5th shade
2. Oasis: Wet 'n Wild Color Icon Palette in Greed, 5th shade
3. Coin: Covergirl Tapestry Taupe
4. Tint Blush: e.l.f. Peachy Keen blush
5. Enchanting lipgloss: Revlon Colorburst in Peony 008

My Thoughts: It's pretty. Very natural looking. This would be a good look for a sunny day when you don't want too much makeup on or if you want to wear a school appropriate look.

Stila Front Cover Look No. 1 Dupes

For Review and Swatches: http://www.makeherup.com/2007/08/30/new-stila-lookbook/

These palettes are so cute. They each look like the cover of fashion magazines. For example, in this palette on the cover it says, "Are you ready for your close up? With look no.1 a smoldering look is easily achieved. Perfect for the Stila 'it' girl."

These palettes all come with three eyeshadows, one blush, and one lip gloss. For the looks I put together for the eyes I just took the lightest color as the highlight, the medium color as the eyelid color, and the darkest color in the crease. I'm sure you can be imaginative and find other ways to combine the colors onto your eyes.

1. Heather: Wet 'n Wild Color Icon Palette in Lust, 4th shade
2. Grace: e.l.f. Beauty Eye Manual Bright Eye Edition, 4th shade
3. Espresso: e.l.f. Beauty Eye Manual Bright Eye Edition, 8th shade
4. Rose Blush: Physician's Formula Happy Booster Glow & Mood Boosting Blush in Natural
5. It Gloss in Smashing: L'Oreal Super Lustrous Lipgloss Pink Afterglow 020
My Thoughts: It's pretty.

Too Faced Eye Love Palette Dupes

For swatches and a review: http://www.prettyaddictionsblog.com/2011/08/eye-love-too-faced-palette.html

This palette was only available if you have earned 500 points in the perks point system at Sephora. It has two shades from each of the Too Faced palettes, and it comes with Too Faced Shadow Insurance. It has instructions on how to apply all the eye shadows. Since I got the dupes of all the palettes I thought I might as well do this one too.

Natural Eye
1. Heaven: Mac Vanilla, Mac Brule, Mac Shroom, Wet 'n Wild Color Icon Palette in Lust, 4th shade, Wet 'n Wild Color Icon Palette in Pride, 1st shade,  Wet 'n Wild Sand Castle Palette, 3rd shade, Wet 'n Wild Color Icon Palette in Vanity, 1st shade, Wet 'n Wild Color Icon Palette in Greed, 1st shade, Maybelline Sunbaked Neutrals, 1st shade, Wet 'n Wild Walking on Eggshells trio, highlight shade, e.l.f. Beauty Book Neutral Eye Edition, 1st shade
2. Push-Up: Mac Woodwinked, Urban Decay Toasted, L'Oreal Hip Duo in Dynamic, left color, e.l.f. Beauty Book Neutral Eye Edition, 6th shade, Wet 'n Wild 8-Pan Palette in Comfort Zone, 3rd shade

Directions
1. Apply Heaven from lash line to brow.
2. Blend Push-Up into crease and slightly below lower lash line.
My Thoughts: I don't like. It's a little too natural.

Smokey Eye
1. Silver Spoon: I don't know what they mean here because that wasn't in the Too Faced Smokey Eye Palette, so I just used whatever silver I had in my collection.
2. Smolder: Wet 'n Wild Color Icon Palette in Pride, 3rd shade

Directions
1. Sweep Silver Spoon on to inner lid and brow bone.
2. Blend Smolder on to outer lid, as well as the upper and lower lashes.
My Thoughts: Really dramatic blue. I don't like the gray on the brow bone. This isn't for daytime.

Naked Eye
1. Satin Sheets: Mac All that Glitters, Wet 'n Wild Color Icon Palette in Greed, 5th shade, Covergirl's Country Woods quad, 2nd shade from left, Wet 'n Wild Gilded Age trio, brow bone shade, e.l.f. Beauty Book Neutral Eye Edition, 4th shade
2. Like a Virgin: Mac Coquette, Physician's Formula Shimmer Strips Hazel Eye Candy, 6th shade

Directions
1. Pop Satin Sheets on to lid and around tear duct.
2. Blend Like a Virgin above crease and around the outer corner of lower lid.
My Thoughts: Pretty neutral look. I don't know if I like it because in daylight it seemed too plain, but I didn't have any other makeup on.

Romantic Eye
1. Honeymoon: Mac Sumptious Olive, Maybelline Enchanted Forest Quad, olive shade, Wet 'n Wild 8-Pan Palette Comfort Zone, 6th shade
2. Ever After: Urban Decay Hustle, e.l.f. Day 2 Night quad, 2nd shade, Mac Smut, Mac Embark

Directions
1. Press Honeymoon on to the inner half of the lid.
2. Smoke Ever After on to the outer lid, in crease and lower lash line.
My Thoughts: I like it.

Classic
1. Sweep White Lie from brow to lashes.

Too Faced Smokey Eye Shadow Palette Dupes

Too Faced has two different smokey eye palettes the first one came out in 2009, and the second one came out this year. I'm not sure why there are two different ones. Maybe the first one did so well commercially, they wanted to try it again. The shadows are very similar to each other, but the face charts are different. Normally I don't wear smokey eye looks, so this was fun experimentation for me. I was surprised at how much I liked the look on me.

1. Cream: Wet 'n Wild Color Icon Palette in Vanity, first shade
2. Fawn: Covergirl Tapestry Taupe
3. Bronze: Wet 'n Wild Sand Castle Palette, bottom color
4. Sugar Cookie: Wet 'n Wild Color Icon Palette in Lust, first shade

9. Black Spark: e.l.f. 32 Eyeshadow Palette in Basics, 3rd shade in 3rd row

Day
1. Sweep Cream from brow to lashes.
2. Press Fawn onto lid and above crease.
3. Blend Bronze into the crease and lower lashes.
My Thoughts: Very pretty.

Classic
1. Blend Silver from crease fading to brow.
2. Press Black Spark onto lid and outer crease.
3. Blend Black Suede into outer crease and upper and lower lashes.
My Thoughts: Very dramatic gray. It is very pretty, but not for daytime.

Fashion
1. Sweep Sugar Cookie from brow to lashes.
2. Press Wicked Green onto the inner lid.
3. Blend Midnight into the crease and upper and lower lashes.
My Thoughts: Very dramatic blue. Again, it is very pretty, but not for daytime in my opinion.

Too Faced Romantic Eye Palette Dupes

I just love the Too Faced palettes. I don't own any of them, but I love their packaging, how they're cruelty free, have great quality shadows, have cute names for all their shadows, and come with little face charts.

Just like with the Stila face charts. I searched them all down, and found dupes for all the shadows, so in my small way I feel like I own all the Too Faced palettes.

One of my favorite Youtubers has duped a lot of the Too Faced palettes. Her youtube link is http://www.youtube.com/user/cosmeticcouturier She has made beautiful tutorials to go with several of the Too Faced palettes. A lot of the dupes I have are due to her.

Urban Decay Naked Palette Dupes

This palette has been so popular this year and last year. I've yet to see it in my Sephora. It is always being sold out! I decided to do some research a while ago, and find the dupes for each shade. This is a collection of dupes I've found from all over the internet: blogs and youtube videos. I mentioned the shades that I have and also Mac shades. I've found that not everyone agrees on what would be considered a dupe for each color. You could compare the colors for yourself and see which you think are the most like the original Urban Decay. Once you get a dupe for each color, have fun replicating the many Urban Decay Naked Palette looks people have put up on Youtube and blogs!

Also, it has been said that the e.l.f. Beauty Book Neutral Eye Edition is a dupe of the Urban Decay Palette. It has similar shades, but they are not as pigmented as Urban Decay's is. Too Faced Natural Eye Palette has also been said to be a dupe of Urban Decay's Naked Palette.

Face Chart
1. Base shade Valley Girl using #9 brush all over lid starting from lash line to brow bone.
2. Crease shade Souther Belle using #15 brush large side and blend in the crease/hollow of eye.
3. Liner and lid shade City Chick using #4 brush. Dampen the brush tip for a dramatic look and start at the lash line top and bottom lash line lid softly brush the City Chick shade onto the lids.
4. Using #15 brush small end wrap the City Chick under the lower lash line to complete the look and add a smoky effect.
5. Cheeks and lips: Apply Hibiscus to both.
6. Mascara top and bottom lashes.
7. Purple Tang and Lionfish smudge sticks to add intensity to look.
8. #9 Lip Pencil and Grapefruit Lip Gloss

My Dupes
1. Valley Girl: e.l.f. Essential Beauty School Book - Eye Bright Look, pink
2. #9 brush: blending brush
3. Southern Belle: Physician's Formula Hazel Eye Candy, pink
4. #15 large side of brush: regular eye shadow brush
5. City Chick: Smashbox Ultimate Eyes Hazel Quad, deep eggplant shade
6. #4 brush: liner brush
5. #15 small side of brush: Eco Tools brush that comes with a sharpener attached to it, looks like a pointed crease brush
6. Hibiscus Convertible Color: Physician's Formula Happy Booster Glow & Mood Boosting Blush in Natural
7. Hibiscus for lips: Softlips spf 20 Lip Balm with the Physician's Formula blush (see above) on my finger and applied to lips
8. Purple Tang Smudge Stick: Smashbox Limitless Eye Liner in Plum
9. Lionfish Smudge Stick: didn't use
10. #9 Lip Pencil: No.7 by Boots in 20 Nude
11. Grapefruit Lip Gloss: e.l.f. Luscious Liquid Lipstick in Pink Lemonade

My Thoughts: Overall this is a very pretty, dramatic look. This is definitely for night time. It is like a deep purple, smoky eye. I used the purple shadow and eye liner from my Smashbox kit that was specifically for hazel eyes, so this look is flattering to my eye color.

I think there was a mistake though in the face chart because for some reason they never used one of the colors in the palette, the Snow Bunny. Maybe the artist didn't feel a need to use it or maybe there was a mistake. I thought it was odd how many times they said to use the City Chick color. Maybe they meant Snow Bunny one of those times. Also this chart is the only one out of all the palettes that mentions a lip pencil, lip gloss, and 2 eyeliners to use with the look. I also didn't understand why they said to use a dark purple eye liner when I already had a wet purple liner around my eyes AND purple shadow smudged around the line. I couldn't figure out how to use the Lionfish liner because it's a brown color and it wouldn't have even showed up with all the purple. So this look was kind of confusing, but overall it turned out really pretty in the end.

I look forward to more Stila palettes that I can dupe!
