Spring Look #1: Olive Green & Bright Coral

Just like how I made lists of pretty makeup looks I like, I wanted to do the same thing with Spring looks. I decided to break it up into a blog for each look, and show how I dupe the look. I follow the tutorial as best as I can, but I use makeup that I already have. Most of the time it is cheaper makeup, but it still makes a good look. I wanted to share with you what I did today. I copied a look by pixi2woo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Z_BHonXEBQ. I will list what she used and then show what I used instead. For certain products I left it blank because you can use whatever product you wish for those.

1. Foundation
2. Concealer
3. Nars Paramaribo: The Nars eyeshadow duo has a light green and a dark green color in it. For the light green I used Wet 'n Wild Comfort Zone 8-Pan Palette, the 2nd shade on the right. For the dark green, I used the olive shade in Maybelline's Enchanted Forest.
4. Pixiglow Fairy Dust: I used NYC Sparkle Eye Dust in Champagne
5. Mascara
6. Powder
7. Bronzer
8. Mac Something Special Cream Blend Blush: I used Elf Candid Coral Blush.
9. Mac Costa Chic Lipstick: I used Wet 'n Wild Within These Adobe Walls.

My Thoughts: This is really pretty. I think the colors look good on me. It's great for a nice sunny Spring time day. Most of today was sunny. I think the coral and green go really well together.

March Favorites

This month has gone by so fast. Here is my round up of beauty favorites.

1. EOS Lip Balms in Strawberry and Mint: Awww, don't they look cute! They look like Easter Eggs. Well, these are actually lip balms. I keep the mint one on my makeup table and use it before I put on my makeup to help prepare my lips for lipstick. I keep the strawberry one by my bed.

2. Maybelline One by One Volume Express: I like to try out different mascaras. I liked this one because it does a good job at separating the lashes.

3. Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup SPF 10 in Shell: I ran out of my Laura Mercier foundation, and even though it was really good I wanted to try something new. I had seen the Estee Lauder one talked about a lot by Samantha Schuerman (she's a youtube person). She has acne scars, but this makeup covers beautifully on her. I think it does the same for me. You have to be careful with how you apply it though, because it can look cakey. I like to use my fingers to make it blend in nicely.

4. Sinful Colors Nail Polish in Cinderella: This nail polish is so cute! It is light blue and normally I don't wear blue nail polish, but this actually was pretty. Whenever it hits the light there is a pink sparkle to it. I got a lot of compliments too.

5. Chapstick Fresh Effects in Refreshing Mandarin and Invigorating Green Tea Mint: The EOS Lip Balms aren't as moisturizing as these are. My lips were feeling really chapped and I got these little guys. I keep one in my coat pocket. They give a cooling effect on the lips and make them feel really good when they are chapped. I keep the other by bed.

6. Pixi Eye Bright Liner in Nude: I learned about this in the Audrey Hepburn Tutorial by Lisa Eldridge on Youtube. She put this in the waterline. This helps makes your eyes look bigger and more awake. It works better than using white liner, because it looks more natural. I got this at Target. It is expensive. I don't remember how much it costs, but it is worth it. It lasts a long time, and makes your eyes look beautiful. I think it costs $17.

7. Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Liner in Brown: I can't believe I haven't listed this in a favorite blog yet. I use this stuff all the time. Whenever a look calls for gel liner I use this. It isn't as harsh as black. It is very easy to apply. I use my Ecotools angled brush. I have had this for a long time and it still hasn't dried out. I love it.

8. Revlon Illuminance Creme Shadow in Not Just Nudes: I use this whenever I'm using a look that calls for a Mac Paint Pot. It works just as well, in my opinion. I always wear a primer underneath, and it doesn't crease. Some people don't like the illuminance cream shadows, but they work fine on me.  The lightest shade is a dupe for Mac's Bare Study or Painterly Paint Pot, the second lightest is a dupe for Rubenesque, the fourth shade is dupe for Indian Wood and the darkest shade is a dupe for Mac's Constructivist. They work well under eye shadows as a base.

9. Bare Minerals Multi-Tasking Mineral in Clear Radiance: This is a beautiful highlighter. Whenever a look calls for Mac's Soft and Gentle I use this. It has a pretty pink glow, but it isn't a blush. And it isn't glittery. It's the perfect highlighter.

10. Maybelline Expert Wear Blush in Pinch O' Pink: This is a bright pink blush. It looks flattering on my skin color. When a look calls for pink, I usually use this. It is very pigmented so use a skunk brush.

11. Revlon Colorburst Lip Gloss in Peony: This is a beautiful lip gloss. It is a sheer golden pink with gold/multicolor glitter. It is a dupe for Nars Orgasm Lip Gloss. It is pinky-peach with gold sparkles. This is my favorite lip gloss.

12. Wet 'n Wild Color Icon 8-Pan in Sand Castle: I think this has been discontinued. The middle shadows are so pigmented, it is crazy. I have to just put a little on my brush. The colors in the corners are more like highlighter shades. There are so many dupes in this palette. The darkest shade is a dupe for Urban Decay's Toasted. The 2nd in the middle is a dupe for Mac's Amber Lights. The 3rd shade in the middle is Mac's Antiqued. The darkest color is also a dupe for Mac's Bronze. The top color in the middle is a dupe for Mac's Charcoal Brown. The darkest shade is Mulch. The darkest shade is also Sable. The top color in the middle is a dupe for Satin Taupe. The second shade is Sugar Shot. I don't have the colors they are supposed to be dupes for, this is just what I've seen people say around the internet.

I hope you had fun reading my favorites. What are your favorites for this month?

Pretty Makeup Looks Part IV

Here is a list of more looks I like.

1. Midwinter Flare by AshleysBeautyCorner http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nvygfh5pXHg This is a really pretty look. The green looks good because it's not too much. The browns help it to look good. You can wear this look anytime, not just in Winter.

2. Zooey Deschanel Makeup Tutorial by pixi2woo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2yy1uq86RGc This focuses on tricks to make your eyes look bigger. I like it.

3. Tutorial Using Mostly Drugstore Products by ggrrish http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Yk99cQaEC8 I love this girl. She is so beautiful. She's from Estonia. The look is pretty except I don't really like the white eyeliner. I don't know if it makes my eyes look bigger or if it just looks like I have white eyeliner on my waterline. It probably doesn't make much of a difference because it won't stay long I don't think.

4. Coco Chanel Inspired Makeup Look by cosmeticcouturier http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y5WmL5mKMfc It looks like a classic look, but the lips are very dark pink/purple. I don't know if it suits my coloring. I think it looks pretty. The lips make me feel sexy. I don't know I can pull it off or if it is appropriate for work/day time.

5. Victoria Secret Model Candice Swanepoel Makeup Tutorial by pixi2woo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Dq3h3wZLgU I like it. It looks peachy, but not too much. Good look for a redhead.

6. Taylor Swift Safe and Sound Inspired Makeup Tutorial by ForeverYours0727 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pLmFyR0jgok This is really easy and it looks good.

7. Candice Swanepoel Makeup by Caramorello http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZEQcqqdn8Q She has a new channel, so I hope this video doesn't get erased. It looks pretty and is good for Springtime. I botched up the eyeliner again, but other then that part it was an easy look.

8. Oscar's 2012 Recreate: Michelle Williams by cosmeticcouturier http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z88Lz0kPRFw This makes my eyes look really big and doll like. The lips look really big and hot pink/red. I don't know whether I like it or not. I went to the mall and saw my face in a mirror. My eyes looked so big and pretty, but I think the lip color wasn't the right color on me.

9. My Long Lasting Night Out Look by lisaeldridgedotcom http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wBJPizOZu2Q This is a makeup artist from England. She is an artist. I love watching her apply makeup. I liked everything, except the lips are really bright red. I feel a little insecure wearing the lips. It brings out my eye color though. I think it looks pretty. I just am being weird about the lips.

10. Boho Chic Makeup by MakeupGeekTV http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F5gleAg7qhc I don't know why this is called "Boho Chic." It's interesting how you just put the eye color in the center of the lids, avoiding the outer and inner lid space. I think it turned out pretty.

Stay tuned for part v.

Too Faced Summer Eye Summertime Sexy Shadow Collection

It's a weird name. I had to keep checking to make sure I got it right. Anyways, it's the new summer palette by Too Faced! The website came out with eye looks and descriptions of each shade, so of course I decided to dupe them and copy the looks and see what I think of it. You can copy them too. You don't need to have the same makeup as me, just the same colors. I'll write down the description of the colors, my dupes, their face charts, links to the looks, and my opinions about how it looks on me. Some of the looks don't look good on me, but that doesn't mean it wouldn't look good on you.

Names of the Eyeshadows

1. Sugar Sand: shimmery dusty rose, I used Bare Minerals Glee Blush.
2. Peach Fuzz: shimmery golden peach, I used Milani Illuminating Face Powder in Hermosa Rose
3. Sunbeam: pale gold shimmer, I used Elf Beauty Book Bright Eye Edition, 3rd row, 1st shade
4. Plumeria: vivid pink, I used Maybelline Expert Wear Blush in Pinch O' Pink
5. Coral Crush: coral pink shimmer, I used Milani Illuminating Face Powder in Amber Nectar
6. Mermaid: muted teal, I used Elf Beauty Book Bright Eye Edition, 3rd row, 2nd shade
7. Cocoa Beach: plum brown shimmer, I used L'Oreal HIP Duo in Electrified, right side
8. Chocolate Sun: shimmery rich brown, I used Wet 'n Wild Vanity, 6th shade
9. Toasted Coconut: matte caramel, I used Wet 'n Wild Baked Not Fried, middle, left color

Summer Eye - Classic Look
https://www.toofaced.com/gtl-1228-summer-eye-classic-look.aspx

1. Sweep Peach Fuzz from lashes to brow.
2. Apply Coral Crush onto lid.
3. Blend Chocolate Sun into the crease and upper and lower lashes.
My Thoughts: I think this looks good! I'm surprised.

Summer Eye - Coral
https://www.toofaced.com/gtl-1236-summer-eye-coral.aspx

1. Follow the steps above for the classic look on the eyes.
2. Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer apply to perimeter of face, under jaw line, chin, cheeks, and neck.
3. Tea Rose Full Bloom Lip and Cheek Creme to the apples of cheeks (dusty rose) I used Bare Minerals Glee.
4. Glamour Gloss in Barely Legal (marshmallow pink) I used Elf Lip Gloss in Blossom.
My Thoughts: This looks pretty! It looks like a nice tanned look for the summer, but it doesn't look garish on my light skin tone and warm coloring.

Summer Eye - Day Look
https://www.toofaced.com/gtl-1227-summer-eye-day-look.aspx

1. Sweep Sugar Sand from crease to brow.
2. Press Plumeria onto the lid and around tear duct.
3. Blend Cocoa Beach into the crease and upper and lower lashes.
My Thoughts: I don't like this look. The pink on the eyelid and in the tear duct makes me look sick. The Cocoa Beach color is really pretty against the lashes. Also, it doesn't seem like a day look to me.

Summer Eye - Fashion Look
https://www.toofaced.com/gtl-1230-summer-eye-fashion-look.aspx

1. Apply Sunbeam from lashes to brow.
2. Sweep Mermaid onto lid and along lower lash line.
3. Blend Toasted Coconut into crease.
My Thoughts: The colors are really pretty, but it just looks so bad on me! Maybe if I had different coloring it would look good on me. I think it's a little too cool of coloring.

Summer Eye - Blue
https://www.toofaced.com/gtl-1235-summer-eye-blue.aspx

1. Apply Sunbeam from lash to brow using blender brush.
2. Use a shadow brush to sweep Mermaid onto lower lid and crease and slightly below your lower lash line.
3. Using the smudger brush dot a small amount of Coral Crush to the inner corner of the lid and tear duct area.
4. Smudge Toasted Coconut into the upper and lower lash lines.
5. Line the top and bottom lash lines with Perfect Eyeliner in Perfect Peacock (teal) I used Milani Liquif'eye Metallic Eye Liner Pencil in Aqua.
6. Apply two to three coats of mascara.
7. Take a Buki brush with Chocolate Soleil, matte bronzer, then apply to the perimeter of the face, under jaw line, chin, cheeks and neck.
8. Apply Tea Rose Full Bloom Lip and Cheek Cream to the apples of the cheeks and lips. I just used Bare Minerals Glee on my cheeks again.
9. Use Glamour Gloss in Flirt (pink mocha) I used Revlon Lip Gloss in Rose Pearl.
My Thoughts: Again the colors are really pretty, but the eyes look so bad on me. The rest of the face looks fine.

Pretty Makeup Looks Part III

Here are some more pretty makeup looks I love.

1. Megan Fox Makeup Look by TheMakeupChair http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Row3tkxVrGk This girl does really pretty, wearable looks and she has good tips. This look I learned that it was easier doing the eyeliner if I used an angled brush. Overall, the look is pretty. The nude lips look good too.

2. Emma Stone Inspired Makeup Tutorial by xeverygirlx http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gnXrWJAj4cI My notes say it looks pretty and to make sure the brush is clean that you use to put the crease color on.

3. Marilyn Monroe 1950's Makeup Tutorial by pixiwoo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mjqKauFrFfI I wrote that I liked it and I felt sexy with the lips. The elf angled brush works really well with gel liner.

4. TGIT Tutorial by juicytuesday http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-x0TCnxXU0 I think this girl has a good sense of humor. This look is pretty, but it is a dark green smokey eye look. It might not be appropriate for day time or work. You may need to exfoliate your lips first.

5. Smokey Neon Purple Tutorial by caramorello http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I633C02e81s Her new youtube channel is ChloeMorello. I hope she doesn't delete this video. It is so gorgeous. This girl looks like a model. She has a good sense of humor too and is from Australia. I liked this look because it felt like a nice change. I thought it made my eyes look greener.

6. Charlize Theron Peachy Bronze Makeup Tutorial by makeupbyeman http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sevV8gqadIE Be careful with Espresso in the crease, it is a very pigmented color. I used the 5th shade in Maybelline Sunbaked Neutrals.

7. Charlize Theron Golden Globes 2012 Inspired Makeup by samanthaschuerman http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWfhGMQzGVQ I thought the look was a little bit too pastel. The eyes look really peachy and the lips and cheeks look really pinky. It is nice for Spring time. I don't know how well it looks on me. I think the look washed me out, but it could look pretty on someone else.

8. Katy Perry Inspired Peek-a-Boo Pinked-Bronze Makeup Tutorial by MoonbeamShimmerblitz http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=du7lk_rjt5E This was really complicated. It's a little too dramatic for day time. I thought it brought out my hazel eyes nicely. It has a lot of shadow. The cheeks and lips are pretty.

9. Victoria's Secret Makeup by caramorello http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RfkJYjRvpr4 Her new youtube channel is ChloeMorello. This is really pretty. It looks like spring time.

10. Ingrid Bergman Makeup Tutorial by cosmeticcouturier http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9VUS8IX9nm4 I like this. It looks old fashioned. It is good on a redhead.

Pretty Makeup Looks Part II

Here are some more pretty makeup looks.

1. Maquillage de rentree no2 by julielovesmac07 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=880LTXD5U7A It's pretty, but it was difficult to apply the sketch on the outer part of the eyelid and to get it to blend in nicely. I used the 4th color from Wet 'n Wild Comfort Zone as my dupe for sketch. I think it looks ok, but it was just difficult to do it.

2. Victoria's Secret Model Makeup Tutorial: Miranda Kerr by pixi2woo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-VNh11l7WI This is really pretty and wearable.

3. From Russia With Love - Natalia Vodianova Tutorial by pixiwoo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-5Oqx3Gq1t8 It looks pretty. When you smudge with your finger be careful you don't spread the brown everywhere like in the inner corner of the eye and nose. It can get pretty messy.

4. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Makeup by filthygorgeousmakeup http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=65gZfhb-qjk It's really easy. I like it. It's pretty.

5. L'art du Liner by MathildeL87 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NGMENC9cnFE This is another french youtuber I absolutely love. I think she is a makeup artist. She is beautiful and does beautiful, natural looks. I didn't do the liner like she did, no flick. It was very easy, and it looks pretty and natural. Everyday wearable.

6. Look: Dream Warm Golds & Bronzes by Temptalia http://www.temptalia.com/look-dreamy-warm-golds-bronzes?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+Temptalia+%28Temptalia%29 This is from a blog. I only liked the eyes in this look, so that is what I copied. It's pretty. It makes my eyes look green. Be careful with the 3rd eyeshadow in vanity palette. This is the color I deepened the crease with.

7. Bella Wedding Makeup Tutorial! Breaking Dawn: Twilight Saga by pixi2woo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zd9_2-Cs-WY It's really pretty and elegant.

8. Katherine Pierce / Nina Dobrev Makeup & Costume! (Vampire Diaries) by MoonbeamShimmerBlitz http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVCIrc764gE This is a really brown eyed look. It looks pretty.

9. 10 Minute Makeup Keira Knightley Brown Smokey Eyes by PixiwooMadness http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rL6dREvidfo This is really easy and pretty.

10. Megan Fox Glamorous Makeup by MissChievous http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LAxCq-s84F8 It's really pretty and simple because I skipped the eyeliner thing.

If you notice with several of these looks I skipped the eyeliner wing or flick because I think my eyes look better without it. I'm not very good at it.

I hope you liked these looks. Please comment below of any looks you've seen that you really liked.

Pretty Makeup Looks Part I

I get a lot of makeup inspiration from Youtube makeup tutorials. A ton of them I note down, and keep track of what makeup I used to copy the looks. Sometimes a look will look pretty on someone else, but I don't think it looks good on me. I just experiment and try to learn new ways of doing makeup. I think I've learned a lot. I thought I would share with you, some looks that I liked. There are so many that I'm breaking them down into ten looks per blog post, so I don't overwhelm anybody and they think "too long to read!" Maybe this will also introduce you to beauty youtubers you have not watched before, but are very good and match your interests.

1. Un maquillage pour la rentree by julielovesmac07 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b9Y83st6wpA&feature=plcp&context=C4fa1e64VDvjVQa1PpcFM0mTC3aOaXHufiku_c-Q4RWk4Jj2hUFyA%3D This girl is French and she does the most beautiful looks. They aren't hard to copy because she clearly has labeled what products she is using. I copied this look and my mom said it made my eyes look really bright. It's using mostly shadows from the Urban Decay Naked Palette.

2. Sunset Eyes by julielovesmac07 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_onjpkvfyk4&feature=plcp&context=C4fa1e64VDvjVQa1PpcFM0mTC3aOaXHufiku_c-Q4RWk4Jj2hUFyA%3D I loved this look on her, but I didn't know if it would look good on me. I thought I would end up looking like a clown. But one day I was feeling silly, and I thought it would be funny to wear it. It ended up being very wearable and so pretty.

3. Silent Treatment This isn't from a youtube video. I just heard about this trio from Wet 'n Wild and how every color is a dupe for some other color. I figured out that I had dupes of this, or dupes of dupes (if that makes any sense). I decided to try it out as though I had this trio, and use the correct dupe for highlight, crease, and lid. It turned out to look really pretty. If you want to know what my dupes are there were: 7th shade in Wet 'n Wild Comfort Zone in crease, 5th shade in Wet 'n Wild Comfort Zone on lid, and 3rd shade in Prestige Earthling on the browbone. It turned out very pretty.

4. Pink Lipstick with Revlon Coral Reef Lipgloss on top. I don't know where I learned about this, but somewhere on the web, I got the idea to put coral lipgloss on top of pink lipstick for a neat effect.

5. Wet 'n Wild Color Icon in Petal Pushers shades 5-8 look really good on hazel eyes. I didn't use the 8th shade. Be careful with the 7th shade in the crease. You may need to wipe off under brow, and after crease put on browbone color to help blend. Other then that I think it does look pretty on hazel eyes.

6. July Peachy Look by xeverygirlx I can't find this video! I don't know if she deleted it or what, but it was a good video. I wrote down brief notes and then what I did to copy the look.
a. Femme Fi Highlight: goldish cream frost, dazzlelight dupe, lightest color in Maybelline Enchanted Forest inner corner
b. Woodwinked in crease, left color in L'Oreal HIP Duo in Dynamic
c. Melon, 2nd shade in Wet 'n Wild Greed, light wash inner tear duct over Femme Fi or All That Glitters or Naked Lunch
d. Elf Blush in Peachy Keen
e. Coral Lips
My Thoughts: It's really natural. This is good for day time. It reminds me of Spring or Summer, but I could wear this anytime. Quick look too.

7. Elizabeth Taylor Look by cosmeticcouturier http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7VxgSdApEc This girl does beautiful looks. She uses cruelty free and vegan products mostly. This is a look where you can wear a bright lipstick and not look like a clown or like you have too much makeup on.

8. Fun Water/Theme Park Makeup - Sweatproof by macbarbie07 http://www.youtube.com/watch? v=nmJHEeATSfE This look came out in the summer time. I used a bronzer on cheeks and everywhere instead of the blush. This is a pretty summer time look.

9. Gwen Stefani For Superior Preference by cosmeticcouturier http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yj8T5pWKW0U For this look, she copied an advertisement with Gwen Stefani looking gorgeous in it. I really liked this look, and I didn't think it was too much for daytime.

10. Minka Kelly: Warm & Glowy Makeup by Julieg713 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jCg7J1pE3I0 I don't always like Julieg's looks because I feel like they are too dramatic and I don't feel comfortable wearing the looks in my day to day life. But this look I did like. The look is really pretty, but you have to be careful what concealer you use for highlighter because what I used settled in all my fine lines and wrinkles. I didn't even think I had those!

March Birchbox

I got so lucky today! I got my Birchbox and Glam Bag on the same day!

1. Juice Beauty Blemish Clearing Cleanser: The name says it all: this eco-friendly cleanser uses botanical ingredients to purify your pores. I don't really like getting stuff like this because I'm already happy with the cleansers and skin stuff that my Dermatologist gives me. I don't need another cleanser sample.

2. Kerastase Elixir Ultime: Add this nourishing oil to your hair regimen to hydrate, smooth, and sleekify your strands. This isn't the first time they've put an oil for the hair in my Birchbox. These things I use and they are just OK to me. Nothing has ever really impressed me.

3. Tea Forte Skin-Smart Teas: A mega-antioxidant tea that tastes amazing and helps our skin look more radiant? Yes, please. It came with Cucumber Mint: green tea for youth recovery, Honey Yuzu: green tea for natural renewal, and Cherry Marzipan: green tea for corrective repair. I like tea, so I'm interested to try this.

4. Annick Goutal Eau d'Hadrien: Inspired by Tuscan citrus groves, this bright scent features a winning combo of lemon, grapefruit, and green mandarin notes. This smells like lemon perfume. I like it though.

5. Ahava Essential Day Moisturizer, Normal to Dry: Keep your skin protected from environmental irritants with this mineral-enriched formula, which is packed with vitamin E and aloe vera. I know Ahava is a good brand. But again I don't have normal to dry skin type. I got something like this in the Glam Bag I think. I probably shouldn't use it since my skin type is combination-oily.

6. Color Club Nail Lacquer in Jackie Oh! Brighten blah fingers and toes with this on-trend pink polish. This is a really bright pink color. The name makes me laugh. This might look a little crazy on me.

Just with the Glam Bag, I'm not really happy with my Birchbox. I feel bad because I feel like I shouldn't be feeling this way. But if I'm to be honest, there wasn't anything in it that I really liked. I guess some months I will like it and some months I won't.

March Glam Bag

I'm so excited today! I got my Glam Bag and Birchbox in the mail!

1. This was what was inside the package. Advertisements, the Glam Bag card that tells you what you are getting, a pink brush case, and a makeup bag with goodies inside.

2. Inside the brush case was a cute pink crease brush! I never can have enough crease brushes. I love it!

3. The first thing I pulled out of my bag was Murad Absolute Bronzing Boost SPF 15. On the back of the box it says, "Tint, firm and promote skin health with this oil-free liquid bronzer that boosts skin's UV resistance and balances hues instantly providing that easy everyday faux glow." I never use faux tanning things, so this will be interesting to try. I'm not sure how well it will suit my skin tone.

4. Keracolor Color Enhancing Leave-In Treatment: This leave-in treatment is especially designed to enhance, protect, strengthen and hydrate all hair types. When I first saw this, I thought it was a hair dye. I was trying to figure out what color it was! I think it's two packets worth of samples.

5. This is a package from DermStore.

6. Inside the package was a Murad Eye Lift Perfector. I'm not exactly sure what it does. There is no information that says

7. A DermStore $25 gift card. It looks like a nice place to shop. On the card there are pictures of products including Paul & Joe lipstick, Butter London nail polishes, and a neat looking eyeshadow palette.

8. Pur-lisse Pur-Protect SPF 30 Essential Daily Moisturizer: It says it is for normal-dry skin. I have combination skin, so I don't know if I'll be using this. I could give it to a friend.

So that's my Glam Bag. I'm not all that interested in what I got. I wish it came with an Urban Decay Eyeshadow or something. I do like the crease brush though.

Urban Decay Naked Palette 2 Looks

I made a list of looks that I tried these last few months that are using Urban Decay's Naked 2 Palette. A lot of them use winged eyeliner tricks, so they were difficult for me, but I tried them anyway. I wore them in the morning before going to work, so I jotted it down when I thought the look was little too much for day time. I'll separate the looks from day to night. I'm not including the looks that I didn't like. Sometimes I didn't think I liked it because I just was having issues with the eye liner. First, I'll list my dupes and then I'll list the links. If I used other makeup I'll list it. I hope this list is helpful.

Blackout: 3rd Greed Palette by Wet 'n Wild
Booty Call: 4th Lust Palette by Wet 'n Wild
Busted: 2nd Elf Day to Night

Snake Bite: mix of crease color in Wet 'n Wild Walking on Eggshells and right color in L'Oreal HIP Duo in Dynamic
Suspect: Physician's Formula Shimmer Strips Bronze Hazel Eyes, 2nd color

Day Time Looks

Get To Know Me: 19 Questions Tag

I thought it would be fun to do a tag where I answer questions about myself. It might be interesting to someone. I first saw this tag on ggrrish's youtube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=253YOoHGe4E She is a wonderful makeup artist in Estonia. I love her videos. She isn't very popular yet, which is good because that means she will reply to your comments and questions. I love finding people on YouTube like that. So on with the questions!

1. Where were you born? Oregon City, Oregon, US

2. Were you named after someone? My name is Sarah, and I'm not named after anyone. My mom thought the name was nice and old fashioned. At the time she knew no one named Sarah, but I think all the other mother's in 1980 thought the same way because a million or so babies were named Sarah. T_T

3. When was the last time you cried? I honestly can't remember. I don't think it was very long ago. I don't cry very often. I try to hold in my tears. (I know it's not good.)

4. Do you have any kids? no I would love to someday. I work with kids.

5. If you were another person, would you be friends with you? I think I make a good friend, but it is hard for people to make friends with me because I'm so shy.

6. Do you have any pets? Yes, a cat named Kitty. She is my adopted sister.

7. Do you use sarcasm? Sometimes I do when I'm angry. I don't think it's a good way to communicate, but if I'm honest I do it sometimes.

8. Would you bungie jump? No! That scares me!

9. What is your favorite cereal? I love Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

10. What is your eye color? Hazel

11. Scary movies or happy endings? This is a hard question. I like scary movies, even though I get scared very easily and have an overactive imagination. I like them because it's like riding a roller coaster. But I also need a movie to have a happy ending, same with books. I don't like watching or reading stories that are too sad. I want everything to end ok. Having said that though, I don't understand why I like scary movies because they usually don't end well.

12. Do you have any brothers or sisters? No.

13. Computer or TV? I like the computer first. I think I may be too in love with it. I will watch TV occasionally. I like silly reality shows, and I like Grimm.

14. What is the first thing you notice about a person? Their face.

15. Favorite smell? Roses

16. Furthest you've been away from home? I've been to Israel.

17. Do you have any special talents? I can play the violin. I haven't played it in awhile though.

18. Do you have any hobbies? I love to read. I like watching YouTube videos. I love movies. My blog is sort of a hobby, even though I don't post very often.

19. Are you in love? No, but I wish I was! I love being in love.

If you do this tag on YouTube or in your blog, post a comment that you did so I can see it. Have a good day!

Urban Decay Naked Palette Looks

For awhile I have seen a lot of looks of Youtube and blogs that were using the Urban Decay Naked Palette. I guess a lot of people request looks because they have the palette and they would like more ideas on how to use it. Since I sort of have the Naked Palette because I got dupes for all the colors I was curious to see the different looks. I took notes on my favorites. This is a collection of those. I will include the links where I found them, so you can watch the original video or see the original blog if you would like. I wrote down the makeup they used, and the makeup I used if I didn't have the same product and a lot of times I didn't. I tried all these looks in the morning before I would go to work, usually. If the look was a little too smokey I tried to make note of it. It doesn't mean I didn't think it was pretty, I just thought maybe it was a little too dramatic for day time. I hope this is a helpful post!

Here is a quick list of dupes for the Naked palette. This is what I normally use. I have a more extensive list in my August 2011 post.
Virgin: Wet 'n Wild Color Icon in Lust 6-Pan Palette, 4th shade
Sin: Wet 'n Wild Color Icon Trio in Walking on Eggshells, eyelid color
Naked: Wet 'n Wild Color Icon in Vanity 6-Pan Palette, 2nd shade

Smog: Wet 'n Wild Color Icon Trio in Walking on Eggshells, crease color
Darkhorse: L'Oreal Hip Duo in Dynamic, right color
Toasted: Wet 'n Wild Color Icon in Vanity 6-Pan Palette, 6th shade
Hustle: Elf Day to Night, 2nd shade
Creep: Wet 'n Wild Color Icon in Greed 6-Pan Palette, 6th shade
Gunmetal: Wet 'n Wild Color Icon in Lust 6-Pan Palette, 5th shade

1. Naked for a Week blog post from Beautiful (un)Necessities http://cateyez713.blogspot.com/search/label/Urban%20Decay
She did a different look for every day of the week using the Naked palette. Day 6 is a smokey eye, perhaps more suited for night time.

2. Three Different Looks with the Naked Palette by MakeupGeek http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e9EcppJXVaM

Look 1
She used a cheek tint in Score by Urban Decay for cheeks and lips, this is a rosy pink brown with pale champagne shimmer. I used NYC Blushable Creme Stick in Berry New Yorker.
My Thoughts: It is really wearable and easy to do.

Look 2 (5:00 mark in video)
She used a Stila eye liner in a peachy color in the waterline. I used Pixie Eye Bright Liner. For blush she used Tarte Blush in Tipsy. I used Elf All Over Cover Stick in Golden Peach. For highlighter she used Tarte Smooth Operator. I used Bare Minerals Flawless Radiance. For lips she wore Urban Decay Lipstick in Indecent and MUD lipgloss in Cantaloupe. I wore Revlon Lip Butter in Peach Parfait.

Look 3 (10:20 mark in video)
This is more of a night time look. She used for blush Tarte Exposed. I used Rimmel Mauve Cool Blush. For lip gloss she used Urban Decay Pocket Rocket in David. I used Prestige Lip Gloss in Delicate Mauve.

3. The next two looks I took notes on, but I didn't include where I found them from.
a. lid: naked
b. crease: side car
c. outer v: darkhorse
d. browbone: virgin
e. lower lash line half way: darkhorse
f. upper lash line: elf liquid liner
g. mascara upper and lower lash line
h. tearduct: virgin

4. Again, not sure where I found this.
a. lid: naked, blend up into the crease, blend up to eyebrow
b. lower lash line: smog and darkhorse
c. lid: sidecar and sin
d. inner rims of eye: black eyeliner
e. black eyeshadow on top of eyeliner and upper lash line

g. lipstick: revlon pink sugar (I used Revlon Peony Lip Gloss.)
h. no blush

7. Signature Look Series: Urban Decay Naked Palette (#2) by Neutrakris http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=80AbXZ1HwPc She did two looks. This was my favorite of her looks. I thought it looked pretty on redheads. She used Mac Beauty Powder in Light Sunshine as a highlighter. I used Bare Minerals Clear Radiance. On her lips she used LA Color's lipliner in natural, topped with Rimmel's Moisture Renew Lip Gloss in Hydra Beige. I used Revlon Lip Butter in Brown Sugar.
