October Favorites

Happy Halloween! Here are my favorites for this month!

Favorite Movies

1. Hangover Part 3: This movie is so funny! After watching the movie I was thinking about some of the scenes, and I was still laughing! I've seen the first two movies, and I liked those too. I thought maybe the third one wouldn't be as good as the first two, but it was a good ending to the trilogy. They had the dad from Roseanne in it. He played a bad guy. And the funny lady from "The Bridesmaids" movie was in it. I love her. Her name is Melissa McCarthy, and she is hysterical. I have loved her in every movie I've seen her in. The plot is that the crazy one of the bunch, Alan, has taken a turn for the worse and he needs an intervention to be taken to rehab. He agrees to go if all of the "wolf pack" comes with him. They are then kidnapped by these bad guys, and hold one of them hostage until they find Chow. Chow stole gold from them. It's all very wacky, and they get into all kinds of adventures. It is like the first two movies.

2. The Conjuring: This was really scary! It is based on a true story that happened in the early '70's. It had a good story, and good acting. I was scared after seeing the movie at night in my bed. I thought something that happened in the movie might happen to me. If you like scary movies, you will like this. If you like getting scared.

Favorite Brush

Ecotools Airbrush Concealer Brush: This is a fluffy brush that really is nice to blend out concealer. It is soft. What I find that works the best is to put eye cream on first, and then put on an under eye concealer. Then I blend it out with this brush.

Favorite Beauty Products

1. Seche Clear Crystal Clear Base Coat: This picture is no good. Sorry about that. I heard about the top coat by Seche Vite. It's very popular. I already have a top coat that I like that I am still using, but I needed a base coat. I found this at Sally's Beauty Supply Store. Since everybody seems to like the Seche Vite top coat, I thought the base coat might be good. It is good! I want to try the top coat.

2. Revlon Colorstay Longwear Nail Enamel in 140 Fall Mood: This color is so beautiful! I wore it for most of the month of October. Normally, when my polish starts chipping, I will remove it and put a different nail polish on, but not with this one. I kept reapplying it. I think this is one of my all time favorite nail polishes.

3. Victoria Secret Pro Smooth FX Lip Scrub & Balm: I have had this for a long time, but I haven't talked about it. The bottom of the container is a sugar scrub. The top has a flap that lifts up to reveal a lip balm that feels medicated if that makes sense. I noticed when I reapplied my makeup during my break, that my lips looked dry. I didn't want to reapply my lipstick, I wanted to make my lips look good and scrub off the dead skin. So I brought this with me in my makeup bag. You can make lip scrub yourself, but it is nice to have this little container with everything you need. The scrub tastes so good! I hit pan on the lip balm.

4. Bath & Body Works Body Wash in Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin: I have been using this whenever I take a shower. I wanted something fall scented to use. This stuff smells so good. It has cinnamon and pumpkin, and it also has an apple scent to it. It is a good quality body wash too. I have the lotion and the spray, too.

5. I decided to paint my nails black for Halloween this week! I actually have never worn that before. I don't usually wear dark nail polish. I saw Elle Fowler (she's someone I'm subscribed to on Youtube), she had black nail polish and then a glittery top coat. She might have even put rhinestones on her nails because they were really "blingy." I liked the way it looked, so I tried to copy what she did. I'm not exactly sure what nail polish she used. For the black I used Sinful Colors Nail Polish in 1130 Inkwell. For the silver glitter top coat I used L'Oreal The Magic Top Coats in 803 The Sparklicious. And then I used a gold glitter top coat, Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear Nail Color in 600 Spark in the Dark. I think it turned out cool. I got a lot of compliments from kids at work.

6. Wet 'n Wild Nude Awakenings: I bought this in the Spring. It was one of those limited edition palettes that was hard to find. I finally found it in a Fred Meyers in downtown Portland. There was like, one left or something crazy. This reminds me of the Urban Decay Naked Palette. I wonder if Wet 'n Wild was trying to dupe it. This has beautiful colors. I have a description of each color. I'm not sure where I got it from, but it was probably from another blog. I'm sorry I can't say what blog it's from. On the left side the browbone color is a matte light beige. The eyelid color is a light, cool brown. The crease color is a matte, medium warm brown. I use this color a lot. On the right side the browbone color is a shimmery, reddish brown. The eyelid color is a dark, cool brown. The crease color is a shimmery, light navy. The definer color is a shimmery, dark navy.

7. Boots No.7 Stay Perfect Blemish Cover in Extra Fair: TheDailyCupcake loves this concealer and is always talking about it in her videos. I had to go to Target and get one to try out. She uses this on her blemishes. I think this does work good. It is in a lipstick type tube.

8. L'Oreal Colour Riche Eyeliner in Black/Brown: The picture is blurry. On one end is the pencil which is very pointy and easy to use. The other end has a smudger so you can blend out the eyeliner. I think this color may be more flattering on me than black eyeliner.

9. Maybelline Color Tattoo in Pomegranate Punk: I used this for a lot of my fall makeup looks this month. It is a great base. It is a darkened red-burgundy with a shimmery finish. It is a pretty, fall color.

Favorite Songs

I don't have that many favorite songs to share with you this month. You should check them out on Youtube if you want to hear them. I like looking up the lyrics to the songs too.

1. Worn by Tenth Avenue North
2. Work B**ch by Britney Spears: This is a good song to exercise to.
3. Broken by Lifehouse
4. Amie by Pure Prairie League
5. Everything Has Changed by Taylor Swift (ft. Ed Sheeran)
6. Still Into You by Paramore
7. Radioactive by Imagine Dragons
8. Happy Together by The Turtles
9. Whole Wide World by Mindy Gledhill: This song I hear a lot on Youtube videos. Normally when a video has music, I will mute the sound, but I didn't with this song. I thought it was pretty.

I hope you enjoyed reading and seeing my favorites for the month. What were your favorite things?

Fall Makeup Looks Part 3

I love watching the leaves change colors. I heard that fall isn't a very long season. My favorite part is when it isn't raining, and it is sunny but not very hot, like their is a crisp wind blowing. It is supposed to be nice this whole week. I love looking at the trees. I think the prettiest makeup looks I have seen are the ones inspired by the fall.

These are the products I use most often. If I list more then one thing for a product, it doesn't mean I'm wearing all that makeup, it just means I wear different products on different days depending on what I feel like doing.

Concealer: Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Treatment Concealer in Brightener (under eyes), Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer in Ivory (under eyes), Boots No.7 Stay Perfect Blemish Cover in Extra Fair (for blemishes), Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Treatment Concealer in Fair (under eyes), Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer in Radiant (under eyes)

i. Too Faced Glitter Glaze Transforming Shadow Top Coat in Goldie Locks, inner 1/3: Maybelline Eye Studio Quad in Desert Fantasy, 2nd shade
j. Mascara
k. Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Lip Pencil in Naked, line and fill in lips: Jordana Easyliner for Lips Retractable Pencil in Rock n'Rose
l. Urban Decay 24/7 Revolution Lipstick in Native: Revlon Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake
My Thoughts: I like this look. I wasn't sure how it would turn out because I don't have the Smashbox Fade to Black liner, but the Antigua eye shadow looks pretty and the other eyeshadow went over it like a dream.

2. My Favorite Fall Makeup Look by Elle Fowler http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1FAadSPk5w
a. Foundation
b. NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk, eyelid, inner corner, blend out the edges with fingers
c. Urban Decay Naked, crease: 3rd color in L'Oreal Cupa Joe
d. Urban Decay Buck, crease: 3rd color in Wet 'n Wild Vanity
e. Urban Decay Darkhorse, outer edge of eyelid up to crease and in the crease a little bit: right color in L'Oreal Hip Duo in Dynamic
f. Blend out the harsh lines with a clean brush.
g. Urban Decay Virgin, under brows: 4th color in Wet 'n Wild Lust
h. Urban Decay Half Baked, eyelid: left color in L'Oreal Hip Duo in Dynamic
i. Black Eye Liner, top lash line, waterline
j. Blend out the eyeliner
k. Mascara
l. MAC Lip Liner in Ginger Root: Boots No.7 Line and Define Lip Liner in Nude
m. Tom Ford Lipstick in Blush Nude: Maybelline Lipstick in Born With It
n. Dior Addict Lip Gloss in 256 Negligee Pink: Maybelline Color Sensational High Shine Gloss in Almond Crush
My Thoughts: I like it. It is easy to do, and it reminds me of fall.

3. Pretty in Pink Makeup: Breast Cancer Awareness by TheDailyCupcake http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E6kem3T8Ozk
a. BH Cosmetics Party Girl Palette, pale pink color, 4th column, 3rd down, above the row of greens, sponge tip applicator, lashes to brow: Wet 'n Wild Rose Parade, bottom left color
b. Same Palette, frosty white, 2nd one on the end, under brow: Maybelline Sunbaked Neutrals, frosty white color
c. NYX Blush in Pinky and pink color from BH Cosmetics Party Girl Palette, 3rd from the end, above the green row, darker pink then the first pink used, in the crease as well as down onto lid: Physicians Formula Happy Booster Blush in Pink with Wet 'n Wild Rose Parade, upper left color
d. NYX Cherry Eye Shadow with Party Girl Palette, pink color next to red at the end, sponge tip applicator, outer v, outer corner: Wet 'n Wild Knock On Wood, eyelid color with Elf Blush in Pink Passion
e. Party Girl Palette, frosty brown that is diagonal to the pink she just used, in the outer corner and outer v with the sponge tip applicator and lower lash line: Wet 'n Wild Vanity, 6th color
f. Blending brush to blend everything out
g. Pencil brush, frosty brown and NYX Cherry, lower lash line: Wet 'n Wild Knock on Wood eyelid shade with Wet 'n Wild Vanity, 6th color
h. Wet 'n Wild I'm Getting Sunburned, browbone color, inner half of lower lash line
i. Mascara
j. Wet 'n Wild I'm Getting Sunburned, browbone color, sponge tip applicator, inner half of eyelid
k. NYX Blush in Pinky for a blush: Physicians Formula Happy Booster Blush in Pink
l. The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer top of cheekbones
m. NYX Nude Pink Lip Liner
n. NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss in French Kiss: Revlon Colorburst Lip Gloss in Peony
o. BH Cosmetics Palette, frosty white, inner corners: Maybelline Sunbaked Neutrals, frosty white
My Thoughts: It is a different look for me. I was hesitant about it because I didn't know if the pinks would look good on me. There is enough brown in it, that I think it is wearable. I think the pink brings out my hazel eyes. Also, there is a tinge of purple in some of the pinks so it looks a little purple which in my mind is more wearable than pink. I think overall it is a good look. I wanted to include this for October since it is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. My mom survived breast cancer.

4. Fall Vixen Makeup Collab w/TheBeautyBox1211 by MakeupByAlli http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PUUZbpIDFdk
a. MAC Soft Brown, above the crease: 2nd shade in Maybelline Sunbaked Neutrals
b. MAC Brown Script, underneath Soft Brown: Revlon Colorstay Palette in Attitude, bottom left
c. MAC Vanilla Pigment, MAC Fix Plus, eyelid, inner corner: 4th shade in Wet 'n Wild Lust
d. MAC Embark, outer 1/3 of lid, up to the crease: 3rd shade in Wet 'n Wild Vanity
e. Blend it out.
f. Black Eye Liner, tight line, outer corner of top lash line
g. Embark over liner
h. Urban Decay Liner in Rockstar, waterline: Wet 'n Wild Amethyst Liner
i. MAC Sketch, lower lash line: 4th color in Wet 'n Wild Comfort Zone
j. Black Liquid Liner upper lash line, wing
k. Mascara
l. Bronzer hollows of cheeks, hairline, jawline
m. NYX Blush in Mocha: I skipped this step because I already was using two blushes.
n. NYX Blush in Cinnamon: To get this color I used Milani Baked Blush in Coralina and Sonia Kashuk Beautifying Blush in Flushed
o. Concealer on bottom lip, blend out with finger: I skipped this step because my lips were too dry, and I put on lip balm instead.
p. NYX Butter Gloss in Apple Strudel: NYX Xtreme Lip Cream in Nude Peach Fuzz
My Thoughts: I really like this look. The eyes are dramatic and really stand out. The cheeks are corally pink and the lips are peach. This is my favorite kind of look for the fall time. The NYX Butter Glosses are really inexpensive. I would use them, but they don't sell them in my store that sells NYX. There is just a limited amount of stuff. But the Nude Peach Fuzz is really pretty. Also, the NYX eye shadows and blushes are inexpensive and good quality, but they aren't in a store near me. I could order online, but I normally just buy things when I see them in a store.

5. Cranberry Fall Eye Tutorial Lorac Pro Palette + Drugstore by Mrslolalynn http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LilqfJ0Kwr0
a. Maybelline Color Tattoo in Pomegranate Punk, eyelid, lower lash line
b. Lorac Pro Palette, Mauve and Taupe mixed, crease: Coastal Scents Rosy Pink and The Balm Meet Matt(e) Nude in Matt Abdul
c. Same Palette, Garnet, eyelid: Wet 'n Wild Nude Awakenings, 5th color
d. Same Palette, Gold, center of lid, blend it in at edges: Wet 'n Wild Vanity, 5th color
e. Same Palette, Lt. Bronze, inner portion of eyelid: Pixi Fairy Face Palette, 4th color
f. Same Palette, Deep Purple, outer v, drag it a little bit down to lower lash line: Wet 'n Wild Petal Pusher, 4th color
g. Blend it out
h. Same Palette, Cream, under brow: Wet 'n Wild Vanity, 1st color
i. Same Palette, Nude, inner corner, arch of brow: Wet 'n Wild Trio in Fauna, browbone color
j. Same Palette, Lt. Bronze, inner corner
k. Fluffy brush blend out highlight color
l. NYX Slide on Glide on Pencil in Golden Bronze: Physicians Formula Bronze Eye Liner, lower lash line
m. Same Palette, Garnet, lower lash line
n. Same Palette, Deep Purple, outer part of lower lash line
o. Black Liquid Liner, top lash line
p. Mascara
q. NYX Blush in Terracotta: Elf Blush in Peachy Keen
r. NYX Blush in Mocha: Wet 'n Wild Blush in Heather Silk
s. Milani Liner in All Natural: Boots No.7 Nude Lip Liner
t. Wet 'n Wild Fergie Daily Lipstick
u. NARS Lip Lacquer in Chelsea Girl, add to the center: NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Natural
v. Physicians Formula Pearl Highlighter top of cheekbones
My Thoughts: This is a lot of makeup, but it looks pretty. The eyes are a mix of fall smokey colors, the cheeks are a mauvish coral, and the lips are a glossy nude. My face looks like a fall leaf.

6. Get Ready with Me: Fall Makeup & Outfit by MakeupGeekTV http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rwTT5MjVQRI
a. MAC Paint Pot in Constructivist, eyelid: Revlon Illuminance Cream Shadows in Not Just Nude, 4th color
b. Makeup Geek Eye Shadow in Chickadee, crease: Wet 'n Wild A Regular at the Factory, eyelid color
c. Makeup Geek Eye Shadow in Beaches & Cream, buff out Chickadee, under brow: Wet 'n Wild Vanity, 1st color
d. Makeup Geek Eye Shadow in Mandarine, outer v: Wet 'n Wild Fergie Photo OP Eye Shadow Palette in Desert Festival, bottom left color
e. Makeup Geek Pigment in Blitz, eyelid: Elf Baked Eye Shadow in Burnt Plum
f. Makeup Geek Eye Shadow in Bada Bing, outer v: Maybelline Eye Studio in Cozy Cashmere, 2nd color
g. Makeup Geek Pigment in Liquid Gold, inner tearduct: L.A. Colors Eye Shadows in Sunflower, left color
h. Nude Liner, waterline
i. Black Liquid Liner, top lash line, wing
j. Bronzer, hollows of cheeks, temples, under chin, jawline
k. Stila Convertible Color Cream Blush in Gerbera: Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush in Peach Satin
l. Makeup Geek Lipstick in Lavish: Revlon Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie
My Thoughts: This is my first time using L.A. Colors Trio in Sunflower. I got it at the Dollar Store, so I was afraid it wouldn't be very good. It is so pigmented! I had to majorly blend it out because I wasn't expecting it to be so good! Don't forget mascara (I did)! This took me a little while to get the dupes right. I had to remove makeup and reapply with colors that were closer to the one's she used. If you try to copy a look, and the colors are looking off, but you remember originally liking the tutorial, go back and watch it to make sure you are using the right colors. Or it could be you aren't applying the makeup the same way, so it is good to put on the makeup with the tutorial. I like to do that sometimes, especially when the person doing the tutorial is a really great teacher. This look is really pretty. I'm happy with it.

7. Fall Smokey Eye Tutorial #3 Navy Blue by MakeupByCheryl http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aujJ_-QdcCA
a. Moisturizer
b. Foundation
c. Eye Primer
d. Tarte Call of the Wild Palette, Call, crease: Wet 'n Wild Fergie Centerstage Collection Photo OP Eyeshadow in Newport Nights, top right color
e. Same Palette, Lynx, crease: The Balm Meet Matt(e) Nude in Matt Abdul
f. Same Palette, Roar, eyelid: Wet 'n Wild Pride, 3rd color
g. Tape sides of eyes.
h. Fluffy brush blend it out.
i. Same Palette, Lynx, crease
j. Same Palette, Instinct, browbone, inner corner: Wet 'n Wild Lust, 4th color
k. Black Liquid Liner, top lash line, wing
l. Remove tape.
m. MAC Prep and Prime Highlight Pen in Light Boost, under eye in a triangle shape: Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer in Radiant
n. Black Eye Liner, waterline and tight line
o. Powder
p. Same Palette, Meow, inner half of lower lash line: L.A. Colors in Sunflower, left color
q. Same Palette, Jungle, outer half of lower lash line: Maybelline Eye Studio in Cozy Cashmere, 2nd color
r. Mascara
s. Benefit Hoola Bronzer, hollows of cheeks, temples, hairline, sides of nose, jawline, neck: NYC Bronzer in Sunny
t. MAC Lip Liner in Stripdown: Wet 'n Wild Lip Liner in 666 Brandywine
u. MAC Lipstick in Innocence Beware, a dupe for this is MAC Hue: Maybelline Color Sensational Porcelains in Nude Nuances
v. MAC Patience Please Lip Glass: NYX Lip Gloss in Pink Frost
w. NARS Blush in Madly: Rimmel Blush in Mauve Cool
x. Stila Highlight Duo in Kitten, top of cheekbones, nose, cupid's bow, center of lips: Stila Kitten (I used the eye shadow.)
y. Urban Decay Setting Spray in Chill: I used Urban Decay Setting Spray in All Nighter
My Thoughts: The pink frost lip gloss is so frosty! It looks funny to me. I'm still going to wear it. I think it might look good, I'm just not used to it. I just had my eyebrows waxed, and it looks so much better! I had been procrastinating, and letting my eyebrows get really bushy. I feel like I can see my eyes again! I don't know if navy is a fall color, but this look is pretty. The under eye colors look like fall to me. The cheeks are a natural, mauve color. The lips are a frosty, nude. I think the Wet 'n Wild Pride color really dupes the Tarte Roar. I really like Cheryl's tutorials. I like her fall series. She said she would do a smokey purple eye look, so I can't wait for that to come out!

8. 1 Brand Tutorial: Benefit by emilynoel83 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9qg-_YtsTNc
a. Foundation
b. Concealer
c. Powder
d. Benefit Hoola Bronzer, hollows of cheeks, jaw: NYC Bronzer in Sunny
e. Benefit Dallas Blush: Covergirl Cheekers Blush in Soft Sable
f. Benefit Rockateur Blush, like a highlight: Milani Baked Blush in Rose D'Oro
g. Benefit World Famous Neutrals Sexiest Nudes Ever, Holy Smokes Base, eyelid: Maybelline Color Tattoo in Tough as Taupe
h. Same Palette, Rain Check, eyelid, bring it up to the crease: Urban Decay Mariposa Palette in Rockstar
i. Blend it out.
j. Same Palette, Pause for Applause, crease: Elf Evil Queen Beauty Book, Narcissist
k. Same Palette, Milk It, under brow, inner corner: Wet 'n Wild Pride, 4th color
l. Black Eye Liner, upper lash line, tightline, waterline, lower lash line dot in between lashes mainly on outer part
m. Same Palette, Rain Check, lower lash line
n. Mascara
o. Benefit Sugar Bomb Lip Gloss: Maybelline Color Sensational High Shine Lip Gloss in Almond Crush
My Thoughts: The Narcissist eyeshadow isn't very pigmented, but I think that is ok because we brought the Rockstar up into the crease. The eyes are dark purple and smokey. The cheeks are a dusty rose, and the lips are pink and glossy. The Rockstar color looks good with my hazel eye coloring. I don't think the Rose D'Oro makes a good highlight because it is a dark blush. It still looks pretty though.

9. My Everyday Fall Makeup Tutorial by juicystar07 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3CVec8mdujI
a. Foundation
b. Concealer
c. Powder
d. Lorac Pro To Go Palette, coral and pink blush: Sonia Kashuk Beautifying Blush in Flushed and Elf Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder in St. Lucia
e. Bronzer, hollows of cheeks, sides of eyes, temples
f. Eye Primer
g. Same Palette, Chai, eyelid, blend it out: Stila In The Light Palette, Gilded Gold
h. Same Palette, Shell, browbone: L'Oreal Infallible 24 Eyeshadow in Iced Latte
i. Same Palette, Chai, crease
j. Same Palette, Chai, lower lash line
k. Same Palette, Pearl, inner corner: Hard Candy Baked Eye Shadow in High Maintenance, left side
l. Milani Liquid Eye Liquid-Like Eye Liner Pencil in Black, tightline, waterline
m. Black Liquid Liner, top lash line
n. Mascara
o. Clinique Lip Liner in Sky Violet, line and fill in lips: NYX Lip Liner in Nude Pink
p. MAC Lipstick in Profusion: Wet 'n Wild Megalast Lipcolor in Don't Blink Pink
q. MAC Lipgloss in Underage: Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Peach Petal
My Thoughts: The eyes are a pretty shade of brown. The cheeks are pinky peach, and they look really natural. The lips are bright pink and glossy. I'm not sure if the lips look good on me. I like the rest of the face. Blair is a brunette with different coloring than me, so this makeup suits her better than it suits me, I think. I think the Milani pencil works better in the waterline, than Urban Decay's Zero!

10. Fall 2012 Makeup Tutorial by Jaclyn Hill http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D4a9hiAnyFE
a. Concealer on lids to prime eyes
b. MAC Naked Lunch, eyelid: 1st shade in Wet 'n Wild Sand Castle
c. MAC Soft Brown, crease: 2nd shade in Maybelline Sunbaked Neutrals
d. MAC Texture, outer half of crease: Wet 'n Wild Sparkle Til Morning, 7th shade
e. MAC Swiss Chocolate and 4th color Maybelline Cozy Cashmere, outer eyelid, outer crease: Wet 'n Wild Comfort Zone, 4th shade
f. MAC Brownscript, outer crease: Revlon Colorstay Palette in Attitude, bottom left color
g. Clean brush and blend it out
h. MAC Rule, crease above all the other colors: Wet 'n Wild Trio in Flora, orange color
i. Black Gel Liner, top lash line
j. Mascara upper lash line
k. MAC Natural Radiance Primer: L'Oreal Magic Lumi Light Infusing Primer (You could also use Hard Candy Sheer Envy Skin Illuminating Primer.)
l. Foundation
m. MAC Ricepaper, inner corner: 4th shade in Wet 'n Wild Vanity
n. MAC Texture, lower lash line
o. MAC Swiss Chocolate, right on lower lash line
p. Mascara lower lash line
q. Bronzer cheeks, forehead, not a contour, with a big fluffy brush
r. MAC Coppertone Blush: Milani Blush in Warm Petals
s. MAC Lightsweep, triangle under eyes: Elf Blush in Giddy Gold (A better dupe would be Bare Minerals Pure Radiance.)
t. MAC Lipstick in Japanese Maple: Revlon Lipstick in Soft Nude
My Thoughts: The Real Techniques Deluxe Crease Brush is really good for blending colors out. These eye colors really remind me of fall. I don't like the Giddy Gold under the eyes. It is too orange. It's not a good dupe for MAC Lightsweep. Instead, you could use Bare Minerals Pure Radiance. That would be a better highlight. All the colors in this look are brown/peach/neutral/nude. It is really pretty if you have warm coloring. This look screams fall.

I hope you like these looks. You should try them out and use your own dupes. I have more favorite fall makeup looks to come!

October Empties

1. Hourglass Immaculate Liquid Powder Foundation Velvet Matte Finish in Ivory

I got this as a sample when I ordered online from Sephora. It comes with two samples for each foundation. For this foundation it didn't seem like anything remarkable. I wouldn't buy it. I think the color was a little too dark for me

2. Hourglass Veil Fluid Makeup Radiant Finish in Ivory: I like the way it feels going on. I like it, but I won't pay the money for the full size. It says it is good for all types of skin. I am combination. The other foundation was a tinted moisturizer and I haven't tried it because I need fuller coverage.

3. Downy Unstopables In-Wash Scent Booster in Shimmer

I heard about this in Samantha Schuerman's empty videos. She raves about the scent. I was so curious, I had to smell it when I was at Target. Sure enough it smells so lovely. I stocked up on this. I purchased the wrong one by accident. It is called, "Spring", and I don't know if I like that because I haven't tried it yet. It had a pink color, so I assumed it was Shimmer, but Shimmer is more of a light pink. When I was in Target again I got multiple Shimmers because I love it so much. You put it in the wash and it makes your clothes smell good.

4. MCMC Phoenix Perfume

I have a sample of this. It is sort of an odd smell in my opinion. I wouldn't purchase this. Let me look up the notes. On the Birchbox website it says, "The top note of vanilla quickly translates to a honeysuckle when it touches the skin. The lasting note is peach." Maybe I'm smelling the honeysuckle. I don't know why it just smells strange to me.

5. Coach Poppy Perfume

This is the red one. I like the way this smells. I don't think I would buy a full size one. The notes are cucumber flower petals, mandarin, baby freesia buds, jasmine, pink water lily, southern gardenia, rose petals, creme brulee accord, cedar wood, bleached sandalwood, vanilla, and whipped marshmallow. Sephora says it is "flirty, fashionable, and fun." It does smell fun to me. It has a good mixture of sweet and floral.

6. Jordana Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara

I haven't used this for 3 months and I'm not out of it, but the formula has gone weird I think. I noticed my eye lashes are clumpy and I decided not to use this anymore and use one of my other mascaras that is working better. At first I did like this and I recommended it. I don't think I will repurchase this. People talk about loving this on Youtube a lot. But I don't recommend it anymore.

7. Revlon Colorstay Foundation for Normal/Dry Skin in 110 Ivory

I love this for when my skin is dry. I have combination skin, so my skin changes. I repurchased this.

8. Becca Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector

I got a deluxe sample of this when I purchased items on Sephora's website. This is a really good primer. I liked it, and I used it a bunch of times. I won't repurchase this because it isn't drugstore price, and I have face primers I still need to finish. When I buy a face primer it will be one from the drugstore.

9. L.A. Colors Nail Polish Remover Pads

I got this a while ago at the Dollar Store. It smells just like peaches. It feels like it moisturizes my nails while removing the polish. I really like these. I got another one in melon. They aren't at my Dollar Store anymore, so I don't know where I would get these again. I would repurchase them and recommend them. It's too bad I don't know where to find them. They used to sell L.A. Colors makeup at my Fred Meyers, but they don't anymore. Maybe I could get them online. I have other nail polish removers that I can still use, so I won't be repurchasing these for awhile, if I do repurchase them. They don't get off hard to remove nail polish very well.

10. Viva La Juicy La Fleur Perfume

I had a sample of this. I'm sad it's gone. I love Juicy Couture scents. They are fruity, floral, and sweet smelling. It just makes me happy to smell them. I would say these are my favorite types of perfume. Sephora says the notes are wild berries, mandarin, honeysuckle, gardenia petals, soft jasmine, vanilla, caramel, and sandalwood. They say the style is "sheer, modern, and addictive." I don't know about it smelling sheer and modern, but I do think it is addictive. I still have other Juicy Couture perfumes, so I won't purchase the full size one. But when I run out of them all, I will repurchase from this brand, if not La Fleur.

I hope you enjoy my reviews and found them helpful!

Positive Changes Week 9

Well...I decided to quit the program. I am so happy I did. I had signed all this paper work, so I thought for sure I had signed away my right to get my money back, but I hadn't! You see, you have the option to pay it all up front, but I couldn't afford to do that. They put me on a monthly payment plan. So since I quit the program I don't have the monthly payment anymore! I am so glad because one of the reasons why I was staying with the program is because I thought I already had said I would pay all the money, and it would be a waste of money to quit the program. I thought I might as well keep going. I was getting really unmotivated and I stopped going to the different appointments. I also stopped listening to the hypnosis cd. At one point I was determined to tell them I quit the program, but the hypnotist was so manipulative, that I couldn't do it! She said that everyone gets to the point that I'm at, and they would help me to become motivated. The problem was that it didn't work. I felt more motivated to bake pumpkin cupcakes (which I did)! Since being on the program I've actually gained weight! I think what I need to do is lose weight in my own time and in my own way. Like incorporate healthy habits into my life at my own pace. I don't want anyone telling me what to do or breathing down my neck. Also, I feel like I wasn't really being hypnotized. My doctor told me that sometimes it doesn't work. He said the research is mixed about whether hypnosis really works. He was very skeptical about it, and I should have listened to him to begin with. I thought he was just being negative. I have been trying to be more positive. When I did quit the program, it was actually pretty scary. I went in to meet with the coach, and I had to fill out this paper about my goals. I said my goal was to quit the program! The coach literally stared me down! I just diverted my eyes and kept saying I want to quit the program. She asked me if I had been listening to the CD's and I said no. She asked me why, and I said because I don't like the CD's! I felt like I was being really rude, but I wanted at the same time to be totally honest. Then all of a sudden she got a fake smile on her face, and in an overly cheerful voice said we should go up to the front desk. I was supposed to speak with the manager, but the manager was in a meeting and would call me back. When she called me, again the person was very manipulative and made me feel very uncomfortable. I can be a pushover, but I was determined at this point to quit the program. I kept telling her over and over again, "I want to quit the program." Finally, she gave up and said, "OK" and was about to hang up on me, but I was like, "Wait. What about the money?" She said, "I didn't have to pay it anymore!" Then she hung up! I was soooo relieved! I don't like how they made it so difficult for me. It was like a cult or something! I think they thought I was weak, and would cave in. But I can be pretty stubborn about something once I get my mind to it. I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders!

I still want to lose weight, but I want to do it on my own. I found this lady on Youtube who every Saturday makes healthy smoothies. Today she did an apple pie smoothie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_5PkNTBZgY. And last week she did a pumpkin pie smoothie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHsK6OaYMik. I haven't tried these yet, but they seem really tasty. They have enough ingredients that it could be a meal. I actually don't like pie, but what I don't like is the crust and that is not included in the smoothies. I do like the ingredients, so I think I would like these. Her Youtube name is uppiesbeads59. She does a lot of anti-aging videos.

If you want I will make blog posts updating about my weight loss or I can do posts about things I have found that have helped me on the road to losing weight and getting healthy. Leave a comment if you have any tips for me or anything you want to say!

Top 10 Drugstore Makeup Products Under $10

I have seen a number of videos on Youtube doing this tag. I like it because I don't like to spend a lot of money on makeup. The most recent video I saw of someone doing this tag is BeautyByMrsOutlaw: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=poiY8AlLghk. She has done a lot of fall makeup tutorials that I've really enjoyed recreating and I'm a new subscriber of her. So here is my list of 10 products under $10.

Concealer

1. Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer in Radiant: All the writing has worn off by now. It is a peachy, salmon color that gets rid of dark circles.

Highlighter

2. Wet 'n Wild Fergie Centerstage Collection To Reflect Shimmer Palette in Rose Champagne Glow: This is a beautiful, subtle, shimmery champagne highlight. You get a lot of product too.

Blush

3. Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso: This is a beautiful peach blush.

Lip Liner

4. Boots No.7 Line and Define Lip Liner in Nude: I found this at Target. It has beige and rose color to it. I saw Lisa Eldridge use this for an Audrey Hepburn look. I use this just about every time I wear nude lips.

Lipstick

5. Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Pink Pout: I heard this was a dupe for MAC Please Me. It is a matte nude pink with slight mauve undertones. I heard that this color was somewhere between MAC Angel and MAC Snob.

Eye Primer

6. Milani Eye Shadow Primer: I really love this stuff. People at work ask me how my eye makeup lasts through the day because I work outside in the rain sometimes. I think it is because of this primer. It is better than the Too Faced one and the Urban Decay one. I use this before I put on anything on my eyes, and it makes it last a long time.

Cream Shadows

7. Revlon Illuminance Cream Shadows in Not Just Nudes: This quad dupes several MAC Paint Pots. Going from left to right, the first one is a cream, perfect for highlighting it can be used as a dupe for MAC Bare Study, Painterly Paint Pot, and Soft Ochre. The second one is such a beautiful color. I don't know how to describe it. It is brown, with gold, and peach. It is a dupe for MAC's Rubenesque. The third one is a matte terra cotta. It is a dupe for MAC's Groundwork. And the fourth one is a rich, shimmery, chocolate brown that is a dupe for MAC's Constructivist.

Eye Shadows

8. Wet 'n Wild Comfort Zone Palette: I love these shadows! I use these for so many looks I do. There are so many dupes in this palette. I don't know where I found out about all these dupes because I didn't record that. I just wrote down what it dupes. These are all beautiful colors. On the left side the first color is a warm beige with a soft frosted finish. It has been called a dupe for Urban Decay's Foxy, MAC's Dazzlelight, and MAC's Photo Realism. The second color on the left is such a beautiful rosy, copper frost finish. It is a dupe for Urban Decay's Toasted, MAC's Coppering, and MAC's Honesty. The third color on the left is a warm, medium dark, golden brown with a pearly sheen. It is a dupe for Urban Decay's Smog, MAC's Mulch, MAC's Tan Pigment, and MAC Tempting. The fourth color on the left is a dark, burgundy and copper shimmered brown with subtle red undertones. The dupes are MAC's Sketch and MAC's Swiss Chocolate. On the right side, the first color is a pale, dirty gray-pewter with a white frosted sheen. The dupes are MAC's Dalliance and MAC's Retrospect. The second color on the right is a subdued, springy green with a golden sheen. Its dupe is MAC's Golden Olive Pigment. The third color on the right is a charcoal brown with a pearly sheen. Its dupes are MAC Magnetic Fields and MAC Smut. The fourth color on the right is a really unique color. It is red-brown with a teal duochrome and frosted finish. It's dupe is MAC's Club and MAC's Blue Brown.

Liquid Liner

9. Jordana Incolor Fabuliner Liquid Eye Liner in Black: I found this in Walgreens. I also like the brown one. Whenever a look calls for a black liquid liner, I use this one.

Mascara

10. Maybelline Lash Discovery Mini-Brush Waterproof in Very Black: I use this every time on my bottom lashes. The other wands are too big. This has the perfect size for doing the bottom lashes. I change which mascara I use for my top mascara, but for my bottom lashes it always stays the same.

I hope this blog post comes in handy for someone! It's nice to know the good quality, inexpensive products. What products do you like that are under $10?

Fall Makeup Looks Part 2

I love the fall makeup looks because I think the looks of this season go best with my coloring. Have you ever heard of being color matched to a season? I was matched to fall. This was a thing that was popular in the 80's, and my mom did a workshop on it. She always dressed me in fall colors even though in the 80's those weren't popular colors. There were more pinks and purples. I don't know if everyone fits a certain season, but I think it works for me. I have been finding a lot of makeup looks to try out. I want to share them with you.

These are the products I've been using most often.

My Thoughts: This has fall colors all over the face. The eyes are coppery, the face is bronzed, and the lips are a glossy nude. The eyes really stand out. I think Cheryl is a good makeup artist. I just recently found her blog, and then saw that she made videos. I'm really loving her videos. She seems really humble and sweet. She is pregnant. She is absolutely gorgeous.

My Thoughts: This is a really pretty fall look. The eyes are a smoky taupe. The cheeks are a bronzed rose color, perfect for cold months. The lips are a glossy nude, so the eyes are the focus. I think I like it best when the eyes are the focus. When I'm not wearing much eye shadow I feel like I look tired, and also it is out of my comfort zone to wear bold lips.

4. Maybelline Fall 2013 Runway Collection: "Autumn Dream" Eyeshadow Palette, Swatches & Makeup Look by Beauty Gala http://www.beautygala.com/brands/maybelline-fall-2013-runway-collection-autumn-dream-eyeshadow-palette-swatches-makeup-look/
a. Using one side of a flat eyeshadow brush, apply the purple over entire lid.
b. Dip the other side of the brush in the blue, and pat on the outer half of lid.
c. Flip the brush over again and apply the purple where the two colors meet.
d. Keep flipping the brush back and forth with each color until you get a really nice blended gradient look.
e. She did the same effect to the lower lash line.
f. Apply the emerald green shade in the crease, and blend it out well with a fluffy blending brush.
g. Use the off white in the inner corners of eyes and browbone as a highlight.
h. Black Eye Liner to waterline
i. Mascara
My Thoughts: I like the colors in this quad because they are jewel tones and I heard that that is "in" this fall. It looks dramatic, but it is pretty. For blush I'm wearing Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso because I think the peach looks pretty with the purple eye makeup. For lips I'm wearing Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Pango Peach to go with the blush, and it is a gloss so it doesn't take away from the dramatic eye look.

The eyes are pretty neutral. The blush is one of my favorite peachy pink colors. The lips are a beautiful color for the fall and winter time. The sugar plum lip butter is one of my favorite lip products.

Positive Changes Week 8

I didn't know if I was going to keep going with this program. I felt really discouraged. I haven't lost weight, and I felt like the program wasn't working. The last hypnosis cd I got was all about what not to do, and everyday I was doing what it was saying what to not do, so I felt really guilty listening to the cd. I ended up stopping listening to the cd altogether because it made me feel bad. I skipped going to some of the classes. I just felt like I was ripped off. I can't get my money back. I had a session with another hypnotist and I decided to be totally honest with her. I told her I was ready to quit the program and I wasn't listening to the cd. She was really encouraging to me and she said that I can move at my own pace. I can slowly make changes. It's not like hypnosis takes away my free will. I choose what I want to change. And there was a reason why I came to the session. I could have not come at all. I'm glad I told her what I did because she made an encouraging cd that I want to listen to. That's what I'm going to have to do for my hypnosis sessions is emphasis I need motivation and encouragement. I don't need someone telling me what I'm doing wrong. I feel like I start beating myself up. I think it is hard for me because I am a perfectionist and I want to make all the changes right away. But that is unrealistic for me. I need to take baby steps. It might take me more than a year to lose all the weight I want to lose, but when I do lose all the weight I will have good habits set into my life, so I won't be likely to gain back the weight. I wish it wasn't so hard.

Are you trying to lose weight? What do you do to be healthy? Can you give me any tips?

Fall Makeup Looks Part 1

I love this time of year! Actually, I think I like the beginning of each season. I like to change my makeup with the change of seasons. It makes life more interesting for me. I have found so many makeup looks for this season. I hope you like them too. Not all of these looks were done in 2013, but they are still pretty.

Here are products I used for most of the looks:

Concealer: Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer in Ivory, Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Treatment Concealer in Brightener
Eye Shadow Primer: Milani Eye Shadow Primer
Mascara: Benefit They're Real! Mascara (top lashes), Covergirl Lash Perfection in Very Black (top lashes), Maybelline Lash Discovery Mini-Brush Waterproof in Very Black (lower lashes)

Foundation: Boots No.7 Beautifully Matte Foundation in Cool Ivory
Powder: Maybelline Dream Matte Powder in Light

Brown Eye Liner: L'Oreal Colour Riche Eyeliner in Black/Brown, Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal in Brown

b. MAC Indian Wood Paint Pot, lid: Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze
c. MAC Woodwinked, lid: left color in L'Oreal Hip Duo in Dynamic
d. MAC Cranberry, outer half of lid over Woodwinked, crease: Wet 'n Wild Knock on Wood, eyelid color
e. MAC Mulch, crease: 6th color in Wet 'n Wild Vanity
f. MAC Brown Down, outer corner: 3rd color in Wet 'n Wild Vanity
g. MAC Beauty Marked, outer corner: 6th color in Wet 'n Wild Lust
h. Blend it all together
i. MAC Shroom, under brow: 4th color in Wet 'n Wild Lust
j. MAC Woodwinked, lower lash line
k. MAC Cranberry, outer half of lower lash line

m. Clear glitter liner over upper lash line: Elf Maleficent Beauty Book Liquid Liner
n. Mascara
o. NARS Orgasm: Wet 'n Wild Blush in Pearlescent Pink
p. NARS Turkish Delight Lip Gloss: Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Peach Petal
My Thoughts: The eyes are so pretty. If you want a look where your eyes will stand out, this is the look to go for. The cheek color is pretty too. The lips are really pale, but I think it's because the eyes are the focus. I wore this to a birthday party, and I got a lot of compliments on my eyes! It was really nice.

2. Collab Drugstore Fall Look with mysecretglambition! Traditional smokey eyes! by Melissa Raymond http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IidPKwa-sMk

l. Elf Glitter Gloss in Dazzling Diamond: Milani 3D Glitzy Glamour Gloss in Designer Label
m. Wet 'n Wild Walking on Eggshells, highlight color, top of cheekbones
My Thoughts: I don't talk about the Elf Day to Night Quad enough. It has been on a monthly favorites post, but this quad is wonderful. I hear people say how they don't like the Elf eyeshadows, but this quad is really pigmented. Maybe they haven't tried this one before. It has beautiful shadows in it. The last shade is a dupe for Urban Decay's Sidecar. The second shade is a dupe for Urban Decay's Hustle. The highlighter is so pigmented. In this look the eyes are very dark. The cheeks and lips are plum. It looks good on my warm coloring, which I think is interesting. It looks good with my hazel eyes. It makes me wonder if I am a neutral skin tone, and not warm coloring like I have been thinking. The Walking on Eggshells highlight works good as a face highlighter.

l. Chanel Universal Bronzer, hollows of cheeks: Elf Contouring Blush & Bronzing Cream in St. Lucia
m. Dior Amber Diamond, top of cheekbones, sides of eyes: Physicians Formula Vegas Strip
n. MAC Warmth of Coral Blush: Milani Baked Blush in Coralina
o. Chanel Beige Lip Liner: Boots No.7 Lip Liner in Nude
p. MAC Lipstick in Gel: Revlon Lipstick in Champagne on Ice
My Thoughts: This is my first time wearing the cream bronzer and I like it! It blends in nicely to my skin. I used tape on the sides of my eyes when doing this look, so I could get a good shape on the outer corner and the wing. The cheeks are corally and the lips are nude. The eyes are golden. It's a really pretty look.

i. Mascara
j. Bronzer, temples, hollows of cheeks
k. MAC Blush in Melba: Elf Candid Coral
l. Maybelline Color Whisper in Lust for Blush: Maybelline Color Sensational 015 Born With It
m. MAC Lipglass in Florabundance: Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Peach Petal
My Thoughts: This has coral cheeks, nude glossy lips, and a little bit of pop of color green on the eyes with gold. I didn't put liquid liner on the top lash line because I've been getting tired of overdoing the liner. Since my eyes already are lined in the waterline and tight line, I feel like I don't need liquid liner on the top lash line or a wing. Yesterday I did a look where I wore so much black liner, I think it looked really bad. I didn't include it in this post. I think black liner can look too harsh on me because I'm so fair. Maybe I should switch to brown liners.

q. MAC Viva Glam 5 Lipstick: Rimmel Lipstick in Airy Fairy
My Thoughts: I like this look. The eyes are really beautiful. There are a lot of fall colors used. The eyes are the focus. The cheeks have a beautiful blush, Rose D'Oro. It is shimmery with a slight hint of peachy-coral and gold shimmers. It looks like a fall blush. The lips are a pretty nude, so the eyes can stand out.

I hope you like the Fall Looks I picked. They were really fun and I got a lot of compliments. One of my coworkers said how she can't believe how my eye makeup stays, even after I'm out on the playground with the kids. I think it's because of the Milani Eyeshadow Primer! I hope you give these looks a try, and I hope my lists aren't too confusing for you.
