Fall Makeup Looks Part 1

I love this time of year! Actually, I think I like the beginning of each season. I like to change my makeup with the change of seasons. It makes life more interesting for me. I have found so many makeup looks for this season. I hope you like them too. Not all of these looks were done in 2013, but they are still pretty.

My Thoughts: The eyes are so pretty. If you want a look where your eyes will stand out, this is the look to go for. The cheek color is pretty too. The lips are really pale, but I think it's because the eyes are the focus. I wore this to a birthday party, and I got a lot of compliments on my eyes! It was really nice.

My Thoughts: I don't talk about the Elf Day to Night Quad enough. It has been on a monthly favorites post, but this quad is wonderful. I hear people say how they don't like the Elf eyeshadows, but this quad is really pigmented. Maybe they haven't tried this one before. It has beautiful shadows in it. The last shade is a dupe for Urban Decay's Sidecar. The second shade is a dupe for Urban Decay's Hustle. The highlighter is so pigmented. In this look the eyes are very dark. The cheeks and lips are plum. It looks good on my warm coloring, which I think is interesting. It looks good with my hazel eyes. It makes me wonder if I am a neutral skin tone, and not warm coloring like I have been thinking. The Walking on Eggshells highlight works good as a face highlighter.

My Thoughts: This is my first time wearing the cream bronzer and I like it! It blends in nicely to my skin. I used tape on the sides of my eyes when doing this look, so I could get a good shape on the outer corner and the wing. The cheeks are corally and the lips are nude. The eyes are golden. It's a really pretty look.

My Thoughts: This has coral cheeks, nude glossy lips, and a little bit of pop of color green on the eyes with gold. I didn't put liquid liner on the top lash line because I've been getting tired of overdoing the liner. Since my eyes already are lined in the waterline and tight line, I feel like I don't need liquid liner on the top lash line or a wing. Yesterday I did a look where I wore so much black liner, I think it looked really bad. I didn't include it in this post. I think black liner can look too harsh on me because I'm so fair. Maybe I should switch to brown liners.

My Thoughts: This is a natural look. I had a hard time with the eyeliner (what's new?!) You need just a little bit of eyeliner on the outer lashes. I put way too much on, so I went back and removed it with eye makeup remover.

My Thoughts: I like this look. The eyes are really beautiful. There are a lot of fall colors used. The eyes are the focus. The cheeks have a beautiful blush, Rose D'Oro. It is shimmery with a slight hint of peachy-coral and gold shimmers. It looks like a fall blush. The lips are a pretty nude, so the eyes can stand out.

I hope you like the Fall Looks I picked. They were really fun and I got a lot of compliments. One of my coworkers said how she can't believe how my eye makeup stays, even after I'm out on the playground with the kids. I think it's because of the Milani Eyeshadow Primer! Pixiwoo Favorite Makeup Looks

I have been keeping track of all these different looks I liked on Youtube, but I haven't been trying them out or writing blog posts about them. The looks really piled up, and I wanted to figure out a way to organize them, rather than just call them "pretty looks." I noticed there were some makeup artists that I kept recording their looks, so I decided to put their looks under the same category. I've already done blog posts on AllThatGlitters21 and Samantha Schuerman. I wanted to do a post devoted to Pixiwoo. I think that one is affiliated with a UK Magazine, but I may be wrong. The looks are quicker on this channel. And they use a lot of Avon products, I've noticed.

I really love these two sisters. They are amazing makeup artists. Sometimes they do looks that are a little too creative for what I would wear, but usually I copy them. I've learned so much from their videos. I remember when I first started watching them, I had a hard time understanding what they were saying because of their English accents! I find that so funny now because I don't have any trouble. It reminds me of when my mom took a train ride and was sitting by an English couple. She made friends with them and they talked with each other on the ride, but they kept asking each other to slow down and repeat what they were saying because my mom had trouble understanding them, and they had trouble understanding her! They were both speaking English, just different accents.

My Thoughts: There aren't a lot of products to use, so in that way it was simple. The flick is still difficult for me. When I first did it the eyes weren't the same. So I cleared one of the eyes and redid it. I made the eyeliner go out longer than necessary. Then, I used a q-tip with makeup remover to clean up everything up at an angle toward the end of my eyebrow. That way the flick was going even on both sides. Then I shortened the flick to make it just the length of my eyelashes. So it took a little while for me, but I got the flick in the end. I'm still practicing and learning how to do it.

My Thoughts: I know that having nude on the waterline is supposed to make your eyes look bigger. I don't know if it makes my eyes look bigger. To me it just looks like I have nude on my waterline. I think my eyes look pretty. For blush I'm going to wear pink because the eyes are warm. I'm going to use Physicians Formula Happy Booster Blush in Pink. For the lips I'm going to wear pink to match the blush. I'm wearing Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Pink Pop.

My Thoughts: The look calls for all eye shadows to be matte, but I used a metallic taupe. It still looked good in the end. It's interesting that this is based on an older style of makeup because the look is modern. I guess trends come and go in makeup too. I wanted a pinky gold blush, so that's why I mixed Tickled Pink with Tiki.

My Thoughts: I have different skin than her's, so I wear foundation and powder. A lot of times the Pixiwoo sisters don't wear powder because they have dry skin. They have said this in their videos. Sometimes they will powder through the t-zone. My skin is combination and acting oily this summer, so I need to wear a powder. This is a pretty look for the summer. It has color in it, but I don't feel like a clown. The coral lips and blue green eyes look pretty together.

Summer Favorite Makeup Looks Part 1

This year I've been looking at older tutorials and duping them. I found a lot of beautiful looking summer tutorials that I noted down to try out for the summer time. As I'm writing this it is still May, and where I live it is pretty rainy and cold. It doesn't feel like summer yet, but I'm so ready for it! I work at a school, so I get the summer off. My Thoughts: The eyes were hard for me. I kept having to get eye makeup remover and start over. I messed up with the black brown color in the crease. I put too much on, so I had to redo the crease. When I put the eyeliner on, I messed up with that so I had to get eye makeup remover to make the line more clean. This erased the eye shadow on the lid, so I had to redo that. Now that I am finished I can see it looks good, but I'm not going to pretend like it was easy. Hopefully, if you do this look you will have better luck! Don't forget mascara! The colors actually look pretty with my red hair.

My Thoughts: This is a pretty natural look. Wet 'n Wild need to bring back Sand Castle. It's an old palette they used to have. It comes with 8 shadows. It is so beautiful. They also need to make the palettes with 6 eyeshadows permanent, like Lust, Vanity, Greed, and Pride. I use those all the time. I'm so glad I got them when they were for sale. I had no idea how much I would use them to copy looks.

My Thoughts: The Barely Beige I don't think goes on very well over the Milani Eye Primer. It looks patchy. Maybe my skin is too dry. I think I look better with eyeshadow, but it looks ok because my eyelashes look good. I have two different mascaras on my top lashes today. I have The Rocket on first and then Covergirl Lash Perfection on top. I saw someone do this in a video and it really made the lashes pop. It did for me too. I forgot how much I love the Plaza Pink Cheek color. It is such a pretty peachy pink. This look is really simple and pretty for the summer.

I feel like the green around my eyes brings out the green in my eyes. I don't think it's supposed to work that way, but somehow it does. For example, people with blue eyes aren't supposed to wear blue eye shadow because it doesn't really bring out the blue. I don't know if that's true.

Next, apply the mauve shimmer shade to the center of the lip only. Use the pad of your finger to blend the two shades together, keeping the shimmer shade concentrated in the center of the lip. I decided to buy this because I didn't have either lip color. I'm glad I did.
My Thoughts: The lip is bold. Wearing the lighter shade in the middle does make my lips look fuller! It is a cool effect. And the eyes are subdued so it doesn't look like I'm wearing too much makeup. I like it. I put Covergirl Cheekers Rose Silk Blush with it.

My Thoughts: This is really pretty. I don't have the same kind of metallic eyeshadows like she used, but it still ended up looking good. I think it brings out the green in my hazel eyes. I know I've mentioned that before, but I just really appreciate when an eyeshadow look does that.

My Thoughts: The eyes look so pretty! The purple makes my hazel eyes look green. It's not a look I normally like on me. I feel like it's really cool toned. The eyes are very purple and the lips are very pink, but I think overall the look does look pretty. The purple liner and peach on the lid is a good combination.
