Pretty Makeup Looks

These are 10 makeup looks that I have found on Youtube and copied with my own makeup that have turned out to be pretty makeup looks. You can use whatever makeup you own, as long as you know what the color is. I try to match the color up as best I can. It may not be an exact dupe, but the look ends up looking similar in the end. I have so much makeup that I feel like I don't need to go out and buy even more makeup to recreate a look. Sometimes the makeup I use is lower in cost than the one from the original. I call these looks "pretty looks" because they don't fall into another category like "back to school" or "fall makeup looks". I hope you find this helpful! I like to watch these videos because I have learned a lot about how to apply makeup, and I think it brings out an artist in me and I can express myself creatively with makeup.

My Thoughts: This is a pretty, warm look. I think it looks good on redheads, but the girl who did the look is not a redhead.

My Thoughts: This is another pretty, warm look. I love Amber Rush. It is one of my "holy grail" eye shadows. The cheeks are coral, and the lips are a glossy nude.

k. She doesn't say what she is wearing on her cheeks and lips. Her cheeks look peachy and her lips are a glossy peach. I used The Balm Frat Boy and Buxom Lip Gloss in Creamsicle.
My Thoughts: I thought this was a pretty, green eye shadow look. The girl was requested to do a makeup look using MAC's Greensmoke, and this is the look she came up with. The green color in Maybelline Mad for Mauve is a good dupe for MAC's Greensmoke. I like how the peach on the cheeks and lips go with the green shadow.

My Thoughts: Makeupbycheryl always does pretty looks. There are a lot of steps and a lot of makeup, but the end result always makes you feel glamorous. I think she is a good makeup artist. She knows how to put everything together.

My Thoughts: It looks strange when you take the tape off. I blended the sides where I took the tape off, and it looked better.  This is another warm look that suits warm skin coloring and redheads.

My Thoughts: I didn't wear any blush, bronzer, or highlight. The focus is on the eyes. The eyes are very dramatic because they are smoky and have black liquid liner with a wing, and a turquoise liquid liner on the lower lash line. The lips are a glossy light pink. For some reason the turquoise color reminds me of summer. (It is still summer when I wear this look.)

My Thoughts: The top row, 4th color is a really pretty bronze, and it is pigmented. The blush color goes with the bronze eyes. It is a warm toned blush, almost like a bronzer. The end result looks like fall to me, but the bronze makes it also look like summer. My lips are glossy because I used the Maybelline Elixir. I think her lips were more matte. I blotted my lips with a tissue, and it makes my lips look matte. This look is good on warm skin and redheads, even though smlx0 is a brunette with tan skin. After I put on the Wet 'n Wild lipstick I noticed how dark the lip liner was compared to the lipstick, so I used a q-tip to blend the lip liner into the lipstick.

My Thoughts: I love rose gold. I think that most of the colors used were similar. It created a pretty look in the end, which is all that matters to me. The caramel color I used wasn't very pigmented, so I don't recommend that. I would use a different color next time.

My Thoughts: Her skin is drier than mine so I put a powder in places where I don't want to be shiny. I think my dupes are really close to here's. I think this look was challenging. I suggest doing the tutorial with her. In the end it really looks beautiful.

My Thoughts: This is a really pretty makeup look. It has rose gold on the eyes with a brown wing. And peachy pink on the cheeks and lips.

My Thoughts: This is a very natural look. There is gold on the eyes. And the face is bronzed up. The lips are nude and there is no blush. I think it makes you look naturally pretty.

Fall Makeup Looks Part 2

I love the fall makeup looks because I think the looks of this season go best with my coloring. Have you ever heard of being color matched to a season? I was matched to fall. This was a thing that was popular in the 80's, and my mom did a workshop on it. She always dressed me in fall colors even though in the 80's those weren't popular colors. My Thoughts: This has fall colors all over the face. The eyes are coppery, the face is bronzed, and the lips are a glossy nude. The eyes really stand out. I think Cheryl is a good makeup artist. My Thoughts: This is a really pretty fall look. The eyes are a smoky taupe. The cheeks are a bronzed rose color, perfect for cold months. The lips are a glossy nude, so the eyes are the focus. I think I like it best when the eyes are the focus. When I'm not wearing much eye shadow I feel like I look tired, and also it is out of my comfort zone to wear bold lips.

4. Maybelline Fall 2013 Runway Collection: "Autumn Dream" Eyeshadow Palette, Swatches & Makeup Look by Beauty Gala http://www.beautygala.com/brands/maybelline-fall-2013-runway-collection-autumn-dream-eyeshadow-palette-swatches-makeup-look/
a. Using one side of a flat eyeshadow brush, apply the purple over entire lid.
b. Dip the other side of the brush in the blue, and pat on the outer half of lid.
c. Flip the brush over again and apply the purple where the two colors meet.
d. Keep flipping the brush back and forth with each color until you get a really nice blended gradient look.
e. She did the same effect to the lower lash line.
f. Apply the emerald green shade in the crease, and blend it out well with a fluffy blending brush.
g. Use the off white in the inner corners of eyes and browbone as a highlight.

My Thoughts: I like the colors in this quad because they are jewel tones and I heard that that is "in" this fall. It looks dramatic, but it is pretty. For blush I'm wearing Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso because I think the peach looks pretty with the purple eye makeup. For lips I'm wearing Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Pango Peach to go with the blush, and it is a gloss so it doesn't take away from the dramatic eye look.

My Thoughts: I should have known better because this isn't the first time I used this eyeshadow, but when using w/w vanity 3rd color, be very careful because it is very pigmented. I put too much on. The eyes are pretty neutral. The blush is one of my favorite peachy pink colors. The lips are a beautiful color for the fall and winter time. The sugar plum lip butter is one of my favorite lip products.
