Lush Haul!

Right before Halloween I ordered things from Lush. I think you can still get these things on the website. As I'm writing this, they are still available.

1. Sparkly Pumpkin Bubble Bar: My stem broke in the mail. But it is still pretty. It has orange glitter all over it. That would be cool if it smelled like pumpkin spice, but it doesn't. It still smells good. I can smell the grapefruit and lime.

This is what the website said about it: "Perfect for long, lingering soaks. At the end of a long day, pop this Sparkly Pumpkin into the bath. As you crumble its golden shimmeryness under running water, you'll feel instantly re-energized. An uplifting blend of juniper berry, grapefruit and lime oils will fill the room with an enticing, cocktail-like punch. And as you sink deep under the glittering gold water you won't be able to keep from smiling - probably because this little pumpkin is made to make every day bright. This pumpkin shares its scent with our Mr. Punch soap from LUSH Christmases past!"

This is what it said regarding the Sparkly Pumpkin: Juniper berry has long been considered a cleansing material, and has been used since medieval times to ward off witches and fairies. If you plant a juniper tree by your door, witches will have to steer clear...unless they can guess the exact number of needles on the tree (and now we are hoping that no witches near you are good at quick math.) Juniper berry oil is indeed detoxifying for other reasons, so reach for a Sparkly Pumpkin Bubble Bar if you need a reviving boost!

I read in the comments section that you can cut this in half for plenty of bubbles.

My Review: The water turns orange with golden glitter everywhere. There are so many bubbles. It's insane! If you want a bath with lots of bubbles and sweet, citrus smell, this is the bath for you.

2. Wizard Bubble Bar: I don't recognize the smells on this. It smells spicy. It is so cute! It has little silver stars all over it's back. 

This is what the website said about it: "Banish stress with a crumble. As the weather casts a cold, frosty spell over us, there's only one thing better than soaking in the bath: the Wizard. This magical, handmade companion will help keep your spirits bright even on the darkest days. Energizing tangerine, juniper berry and fennel essential oils help balance the skin, while its warming and uplifting scent banishes stress and helps you recover from the day. It's pure magic for your mind, body and soul. If you loved our Jingle Spells Bath Bomb, the wizard has the same mystical perfume."

"The Mysterious World of Herbs" http://www.lushusa.com/on/demandware.store/Sites-Lush-Site/en_US/Blog-Posts?cid=blog_herbs-superstitions talks about the Wizard. "Stuffing dried or fresh fennel in a keyhole and hanging it around the house was thought to banish pesky ghosts. Growing fennel in your garden supposedly keeps negativity and sluggishness at bay. Fennel oil certainly is uplifting, and we use it in our Wizard Bubble Bar for its fresh, licorice-like fragrance!"

In another article on the Lush website, "Bathtime Spells: The Power of Natural Ingredients" http://www.lushusa.com/on/demandware.store/Sites-Lush-Site/en_US/Blog-Posts?cid=blog_bathtime-spells it also talks about the Wizard. My Review: This smells really strong, like pinecones. This little guy makes so many bubbles! I probably could have cut this in half for two baths. The water is purple with silver glitter. Lush bubble bars are really good at making bubbles. The bubbles last a long time. The scent of this bath reminds me of Christmas. I wonder if they are going to keep this one out for the Christmastime. When you first smell the wizard before you put it in the bath, it smells very strong, but once it is in the water the scent isn't as strong. It's not like the Lord of Misrule. I would recommend this.

3. Ceridwen's Cauldron: I heard about this on Youtube from Elle Fowler's Lush haul. She gets this one with the other Halloween goodies because it goes with the theme being a cauldron and all. It used to say on the website the spell that this was based on. She says what it is in one of her videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kVOf7MudrqM. "According to the spell this was based off of, if you make a wish and spit 3 times into the water, your wish will come true." This is in the permanent collection and is available all year.

This is what the website said: "Magical, relaxing bath melt for softer skin. Slip into our enchanting potion of oats, lavender and sandalwood to calm and soothe your irritated, sensitive skin. If you're wishing for relief, we can guarantee that this bath melt will make your skin dreams come true. My Review: I can smell the oats and lavender. I love the smell of lavender. It has a little bit of bubbles. The water is milky and smells like lavender. This is a very luxurious bath. It feels so good on the skin and smells good. This is my favorite Lush product I got so far!

4. Fairy Ring Soap: This is a piece of soap from a bigger soap that looks like this:

It's a fairy home! In the article "The Mysterious World of Herbs" it says this about the Fairy Ring Soap: "Mushroom folklore abounds in nearly every culture-the circular fungal growth pattern of mushrooms is even called a fairy ring! It is said that a house built near a fairy ring brings good luck, and that you can retrieve the treasure from (but only with the help of a fairy, there's always a catch!). Don't have a crop of mushrooms in your backyard? Never fear-perhaps you can bring fortune to your home with a slice of Fairy Ring Soap, made with nutritious shiitake mushrooms."

This is what the website says about it, "A magical scent to take you away. Who is the fairest one of all? Well, you will be after a bath or shower with our Fairy Ring Soap! My Review: I don't think it smells like mushrooms. It is a scent I can't quite distinguish. It smells fresh to me. It makes my skin so clean!

5. Northern Lights Bath Bomb: This has little silver stars on the top. It's a different shape than the bath bombs normally are.

The article "Bathtime Spells: The Power of Natural Ingredients" says, "One such example is the powerful and persuasive jasmine absolute. Its heady, sexy aroma has a way of slinking its way into the mind, making one feel bold, confident, and sensual. Jasmine flowers smell their best after-hours, so this evening blooming floral is picked in the light of the moon, only adding to its magical allure. It's been used for hundreds of years in Hindu religious ceremonies and has been long praised as a potent aphrodisiac. Jasmine absolute is found in our Northern Lights Bath Bomb to create a sultry, calming bath, complete with magical stars that swirl around you in the water-perfect for an autumn love spell.

The website says: "A colorful display that pops. You won't need to go far to enjoy a spectacular display of lights in the night sky! Drop this Bath Bomb in the water and watch as it puts on a spectacular light show - as the ends crackle and fizz away, watch as the middle begins to slowly dissolve to reveal gorgeous blue and neon green colors, turning your bathwater into a calming jasmine and ylang ylang-scented swirling night sky scattered with little stars. If you loved our Christmas Eve Bubble Bar of Christmases past, you'll love this one! This bomb has Bubble Bar mix in the middle to help the colors release slowly and add a bit of bubble to your bath."

My Review: Before putting it into the bath I can smell the beautiful floral smell of the jasmine. First, a fuchsia color comes out. Then, blue and yellow come out. The bath bomb is gone very fast, despite how big it is. The water is a dark purple with light pink stars and clouds swirling around.

6. Lord of Misrule Bath Bomb: You can kind of see this has a little crown molded on top.

From "Bathtime Spells: The Power of Natural Ingredients" it says: If you're looking for a stimulating, awakening effect for the mind on a chilly night, turn to spicy black pepper oil. This essential oil is extracted from black pepper berries, which are commonly ground up to add spice to foods with its powerful taste. It's also been used by aromatherapists to aid tired muscles, fatigue, and to increase circulation in the body. You'll smell black pepper oil in Lord of Misrule Bath Bomb's perfume, where it's combined with patchouli oil and Fairtrade vanilla absolute to create a mischievous, captivating experience in the tub."

The website says: "Strange and magnificent. Inspired by the ruler of the Pagan Feast of Fools, Lord of Misrule brings mischievous revelry to the tub with a spicy herbal blend of patchouli and black pepper oil. As it slowly froths in the water, hypnotic swirling silver luster is released and the deep green exterior soon gives way to a rich, wine-colored center. Just like at the Feast of Fools, when the wine begins flowing, the revelry really begins! Popping candies fizz and crackle, creating a world of magic and mischief right before your eyes. The crown design on Lord of Misrule was inspired by the one worn by the ruler of the Pagan Feast of Fools, where a lowly peasant became Lord for a day. Although commonplace today, black pepper was incredibly expensive in Medieval Europe."

My Review: It smells like lemon to me. At first it is green with little specks of red. The scent is too strong for me. I wouldn't get this again. It looks like a volcano when the center is broken open and fuchsia bubbles start to come out. It turns the bath water from green to wine. And there is white clouds.

7. Sparkler Bath Bomb: This has the same strange shape as Northern Lights.

This is what the website says about it: "Rose Jam-scented fireworks! Pop, pop, fizz,fizz, oh what a spectacle this is! Sparkler was made to make bath time exciting as a night filled with fireworks. Handmade with popping candy, it'll crackle in an explosion of color, moving around the tub and turning your water into a fiery, shimmering display! It also features one of our most popular fragrances: Rose Jam! Its delicate and floral aroma will fill the room and leave your skin kissed with its beautiful scent. If you love this scent, you'll also love our Rose Jam Bubbleroon and Ro's Argan Body Conditioner."

Review: In the comments section I read that you can cut this in half and use it for two baths. It doesn't smell like rose to me. It smells a little bit like pie, which I don't like. This is when I just smell it before putting it in the water. In the water there is a floral scent to me, that isn't rose, but it smells good. So I have mixed feelings about this. It starts off being neon yellow. Then, orange comes out of it with gold glitter and little bubbles. I don't hear it crackle. The orange with gold glitter is very pretty. The the bath water is orange. Eventually, red is coming out. It leaves little specks of gold glitter on your skin. I think it looks pretty. I approve of this bath bomb.

8. Star Light, Star Bright Bath Melt: When you hold this the silver sparkles come off everywhere! 

The website says: "Bathe in a pool of starlight. Crush this shimmering star under running water and watch as your bath turns a deep, calming turquoise and the silvery luster spreads to create a magical, shimmering trail of starlight. Organic shea butter and extra virgin coconut oil leave your skin feeling oh-so-soft, while the zesty ginger, lavender and lime oil fragrance inspires imagination and positivity. Go ahead - make a wish upon this star!"

My Review: Before putting this in the bath it smells strongly of lime. The silver layer washes away. Underneath is a white buttery star with blue. The water isn't turquoise. It is light blue. There is white clouds. The silver sparkles are in the water too. The smell wakes you up.

9. Ice Blue Soap: Whenever I order from Lush they always send a free sample. 

This is what the website says about it: "Brisk and refreshing peppermint soap. Intense and extra stimulating; when you're in the shower rub Ice Blue all over your body for a refreshing, tingly feeling. Peppermint has an incredible quality of making you feel cool when you're hot, and warm when you're cold. So if you're hot and cold, it goes both ways! It also means that Ice Blue is the perfect soap for boys, girls, and all seasons and climes. Plus to really wake up your skin and your senses we've made our ice cube soap with refreshing citrus oils. Give yourself an extra special cleansing sensation with Ice Blue. Peppermint oil cools the skin and gives it a brisk deep clean. It also helps the skin be soft, and the mind focused. My Review: Peppermint also reminds me of the holiday season because of the candy canes. This strongly smells of peppermint. Its not the sweet candy cane scent. I wouldn't buy this.

FCS Fall Soap Box: The Wizard of Oz / Wicked!

Fortune Cookie Soap is an Indie company that makes bath and body products. I heard about it from xsparkage and grav3yardgirl on Youtube. If you get a subscription to the soap box it comes every season and features new products from the website. This summer it had the Candyland theme, and everything smelled like candy. At Winter the theme was The Nightmare Before Christmas, which is one of my favorite movies. It seemed like a really fun box to get.

This is my first box. I was so excited to get it. I went on Facebook to like Fortune Cookie Soap and I caught a glimpse of what the theme would be for this fall. I knew it would be The Wizard of Oz with the picture of the witch's hat, the yellow brick road, and the rainbow! That movie although it traumatized me, was my favorite childhood movie. I have seen it about a million times. So this box was perfect for me. I used a discount code for my first box, so it was only $2! You can go to Youtube and find someone doing a review of the box and often they will have a discount code in the description bar. The box comes with one full size product (which is the fortune cookie soap) and 7 sample sizes. The sample sizes are big, so you can get a lot of uses out of it.

On the top it comes with a card that says, "Witch, Please! Soon you will feel nothing at all, except beautiful wickedness."

You open up the card and it comes with a list of what is in the box with a picture and a description of the smells. At the top it says, "Welcome to Fortune Cookie Soap's 2014 Fall Soap Box! A wicked mashup of an old classic and a current Broadway hit." I have not seen the musical, but I've read the book, and I've looked up the musical online to watch some of the songs. I would love to see it!

On the back of the card is a coupon code for $10 off any purchase you make on the website. I'm not sure if it is only for this theme or for anything on the website. 

1. "There's No Place Like Home" Fortune Cookie Soap: Oh my gosh! I love the way this smells! This smells like apple cider to me. Every soap box comes with a full size soap in the shape of a fortune cookie, including a fortune inside! This looks like Dorothy's ruby red slippers. It is glittery and everything. My fortune says, "Too much of a good thing is wonderful." The soap box always has little things inside the box to go with the theme. There are green "worms" filling the box. I think they are green because of the green faced witch. They have little confetti black witches. I found one little Toto dog, you can see under the soap, and I think the circles are supposed to be bubbles that Glinda flies in. 

This is what the card says: "Close your eyes and repeat after me...Curled Macintosh apple peels lovingly kissed with a hint of cinnamon, allspice and clove, make this fragrance warm and cozy, just like home - as long as home's not in Kansas! :)" 

My Review: This has a ton of red glitter! It is everywhere. I took a bath, and the glitter is all over in the water and my skin. I'm not sure what to think of this. In a way I like it because of course her ruby red shoes would have red glitter shimmering, but at the same time I don't want it on my body. lol! It smells so good. The soap seems so slippery that it will fall off the side of the bathtub. They sell wooden soap dishes, so the soap can sit on it and stay put. I might want to get one of these. It costs $4.99. I know that when the soap gets small you can buy an Exfoliating Soap Saver Bath Accessory. You can still use the soap to the last bit. It costs $4.49. It is a little drawstring bag that you can put the soap inside. The soap costs between $3 and $4. I decided not to use this soap because I don't like the red glitter everywhere. I prefer using a shower gel rather than a soap anyway. And I put the gel into a loofah. But I think for novelty sake it was cool how the soap looked just like Dorothy's slippers.

2. Roy G. Biv OCD Hand Sanitizer: I think it is funny they have a hand sanitizer named OCD. Bunny (grav3yardgirl) didn't know what Roy G. Biv was and if you don't know it is the colors of the rainbow: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. One of the very famous songs from The Wizard of Oz is "Somewhere Over the Rainbow." I have a friend who never has seen the movie, but they have at least heard that song. One of their hand sanitizers runs a little under $3.

This is what the card says, "A full spectrum of bright citrus notes and florals against a cool fall background. Dusky breezes and bonfires, wind-blown leaves and charred woods brightened by notes of lemon, mandarin, cotton blossom and soft vanilla." I like how they keep the theme going with the season of fall.

My Review: I can smell the lemon in this. It is a very good, refreshing smell. I heard that it is still important to wash your hands, but putting hand sanitizer on afterwards is always good too. My hands also feel soft after using this. That might be my imagination. No it isn't! It is supposed to be moisturizing. The website says, "If you are looking for a moisturizing hand sanitizer...you're in luck!! This stuff is packed with so many moisturizers and vitamins your hands feel like you've treated them with lotion. A portion of the proceeds goes towards supporting the work of the International OCD Foundation, an organization that is very near and dear to our hearts. www.ocfoundation.org." I like how they do the donation, and it is not just a joke to them. My hands do feel like I have put lotion on them. I work at a school, so this will come in handy for me (no pun intended). 

3. No Good Deed Whipped Cream: There are four different scents. It says, "Witch one will you get?" It goes on to describe each scent. I think the whipped cream is new because I don't see it on the website. It might be the body butter with a different name.

What the card says: "Good thing there's no punishment for smelling amazing - we like to think of it more as a public service, anyway! Creamy pumpkin puree, ground cinnamon, Vermont maple syrup, rum, french vanilla and caramelized sugar." I think it is playing off of the saying, "No good deed ever goes unpunished." I'm not really sure how that relates to The Wizard of Oz, so it must have to do with the musical.

My Review: This smells just like pumpkin pie. I love it! It is a nice thick cream. I know you can get two different kinds of lotions from FCS, a body lotion which is thinner and a whipped cream. This is like a body butter. It smells so good! It smells like you could eat it. Now I can smell the maple syrup. This is what I think fall smells like. Interesting note...I was so impressed with this smell I gave it to my parents to smell and they didn't know what it smelled like. My mom thought it was frosting, and my Dad could smell the maple syrup after I named the scents. So not everybody will smell the same thing. My initial reaction was it smelled just like pumpkin pie, so that must have been the pumpkin puree. I just took a shower and put this all over. The smell is so good. It really smells like fall to me. I might have to buy the full size of this. It does a good job moisturizing the skin too. I think I will buy the full size of this with my $10 coupon.

4. Swankified Walnut Facial Scrub: The idea of walnuts in a facial scrubs sounds too abrasive to me, so I will have to see how I like this. I wanted to see what "swankified" had to do with The Wizard of Oz or Wicked, so I googled the word and looked it up in the urban dictionary. It is a variant of swanky, trendy, nice, cool, especially: describes places to go. It is from Wicked. "Fiyero: So! What's the most swankified place in town? Glinda: That would be the Ozdust Ballroom. Fiyero: Sounds perfect!" 

What the card says: "As we continue to expand our skincare line, we'd like to introduce you to our new daily scrub! We had your face in mind, but feel free to "swankify" all your parts! Bunches of ripe bananas mashed into sweet, sugary cake batter, then topped with walnuts and baked to a golden brown. *see website for ingredient list"

My Review: I can smell the walnuts. I wouldn't use it daily on my face. I think using a scrub daily on the face would be too much. I might use it on my face once a week. According to the card, it sounds like you can use it all over the body. I might try that too. I used it and the smell of walnuts was a little too much for me. I guess I don't like the smell of walnuts. I like to use Freeman's Beautiful Facial Exfoliating Scrub in Pink Grapefruit. That smells good and is invigorating to me. I also liked the Saint Helene's Oatmeal 'n Honey Natural Facial Scrub better than the walnut scrub. Also, I think it might be too harsh on the skin. The beads were quite big. I like the beads to be smaller. I don't think I will use this on my body either because of the smell. I prefer to use Tree Hut's Shea Sugar Scrub in Tropical Mango. 

5. Miss Popular Bubble Bath Powder: I was guessing this had to do with Glinda because she rides in bubbles in The Wizard of Oz, but I didn't know how it had to do with "Miss Popular" until Bunny (grav3yardgirl) said it was from Wicked. I looked it up, and it is one of the songs in the musical. Popular from Wicked. 

What the card says: "As bubbly and sticky sweet as they come, but maybe not quite what you'd expect, with a depth of scent that is both unexpected and enchanting. The most delectable, sweet, honey nectar shamelessly flirting with touches of star anise, star jasmine, sweet orange and blushing violet." This does smell very sweet.

My Review: It is wrapped with a cute pink bow, just like Glinda. It also looks like there is glitter in it. In the bag I can smell the honey and orange. I am guessing you pour some in when the water is running in the bath and it will make bubbles. That is what I did. I poured it all in when the tap was running. It made some bubbles, but not as much as I like. I'm comparing it to a Lush product I think. It didn't turn the water a different color. I didn't notice it being moisturizing, and I also didn't notice the smell. I also used the soap, and that smell was overpowering any other smell. All I could smell was apples and cinnamon, which isn't a bad thing to smell. I wouldn't purchase this.

6. Hair Flip Hair Oil: If you watch the video clip of Popular you can see why this is called "Hair Flip." The card says, "The beauty of what we do here at FCS, is that if we decide we want something new, we just go ahead and make it! *hair flip!* Please give a round of applause for our new custom blend of oils, formulated to nourish and repair dry, damaged hair. 1-2 drops is all you need for ultimate shine without greasy residue. Strands of sweet hazelnut woven throughout rich, buttery vanilla cream."

My Review: It smells like nut with vanilla cream. It reminds me of Argan Oil. I'm not sure if this is for wet hair or dry hair. When I put it through dry hair it makes my hair smell so good! There is no greasy residue. Maybe it is for dry hair. I took a shower today, and I'm going to only put this in my wet hair and see what happens. I put more than 2 drops in my hair because I have a lot of hair. In my hands it smells like kettle corn! Maybe I am smelling the rich, buttery vanilla cream. I don't smell hazelnuts at all, which is good because I don't think I like the smell of nuts. My hair doesn't get frizzy! So it does everything I want a hair oil to do basically. I wouldn't buy the full version because I already have hair oil. I might purchase this depending on the price. This hair oil is magical! :o For the first time with using this oil I straightened my hair, and I only had to straighten a few strands! This oil not only gets rid of my frizz, but it helps to get it straight, at least after I blow dried it. And I don't do any fancy blow drying techniques to get my hair straight, so I attribute all the straightening effects to the oil. 

7. Flying Monkeys Personal Space Air Freshener: Some people are more afraid of the flying monkeys from The Wizard of Oz than the Wicked Witch of the West. Personally, I was afraid (and fascinated) by the witch.

What the card says: "Mischief is in the air with this fruity, breezy blend of peach, watermelon, neroli and jasmine with air and aquatic notes. But the real star of this fragrance? Fresh, ripe bananas!"

My Review: I can smell the peaches in this. I have a fan on, so I don't know if that effects the smell taking up the room. It was hard for me to smell it, I think because of the fan blowing the smell away. I sprayed it on a blanket and I could smell it better. This is what the website says about their air fresheners: "Freshen up your space, wherever that might be! Perfect for dorm rooms, shared bathrooms or that annoying stinky family member! Freshens and deodorizes linens, towels and clothing with a unique conditioning agent. Septic tank safe. Environmentally friendly." Now when I smell it I can smell the bananas. This would be nice to spray on pillow cases. I get it! Bananas and monkeys! lol! I sprayed this again in the bathroom, and the scent is very very soft. I'm use to harsher air fresheners. I can barely smell this. I wouldn't purchase the full size.

8. The Shiz Perfume Oil: This is a tiny sample of perfume, but rather than long and skinny it is short and fat, so it probably has the same amount of perfume as a sample I'm familiar with.

What the card says: "Normally you wouldn't want to smell like shiz, but in this case - it's a good thing! What?? It wouldn't be an FCS Soap Box card without an inappropriate remark or two! ;) A woodland hike through damp balsam woods, with top notes of maple leaves blowing through new dawn blossom, laurel and sweet clove."

My Review: This smells very woodsy. I don't think I would want to wear it. It smells good, but not like the kind of perfume I would normally wear. I might give this to my boyfriend.

9. $10 Coupon: What am I going to get with my coupon code? I don't know if this is only during the "launch party" on August 29th, and if I can only choose the newest items. It really depends if I have the whole website to shop on. If I could only choose from the Witch, Please collection I think I want to get Green Is The New Black Whipped Cream if it is not sold out too soon. Out of all the whipped cream descriptions this one sounded the best to me. This is what the card says, "Because orange would have been too obvious! Sweet pumpkin pie filling with the perfect touch of cinnamon, ginger and brown sugar, finished with a generous dollop of fresh whipped cream." Doesn't that sound wonderful?! I really like the Hair Flip Hair Oil. I might have to get that instead or in addition to. Once I decide what I will get I will add it to this section of the post.

Overall, I am very happy to get my soap box! This will be a fun thing to look forward to every season. I love the theme! I also like the funny things the card says. I've watched people on Youtube do reviews of the soap box and it is always funny to hear what the card says. It's not your typical subscription box card. 

Fortune Cookie Unicorn Farts Shampoo & Conditioner Bars!

I heard about Fortune Cookie Soap from grav3yardgirl and xsparkage on Youtube. They get the soap box in the mail. I thought it was cute when they released a collection last year, I don't remember if it was for Halloween or Christmas, but it had The Nightmare Before Christmas theme! I love that movie, so I thought it was cool that all the soaps and everything had that theme and had products named after the characters in the movie. This summer the theme was the Candyland game! That sold me. I had to get this soap box! It comes once a season. All the products are all natural and good for your body and hair. It reminds me of Lush, but it isn't as expensive.

As I have been waiting for my soap box to come (August 11th), I decided to try out a shampoo and conditioner. Their shampoos and conditioners don't come in bottles, but are like soap bars!

This is a picture of the shampoo, bath bomb, and conditioner. They sent me the bath bomb for free! If you have seen my Lush posts, you know that I love bath bombs! This is my review of what I got.

1. Unicorn Farts Shampoo Bar

This is SLS free, cruelty free, environmentally friendly, and safe for color treated hair! There are lots of soap bars to choose from, but I am crazy and went for the Unicorn Fart Shampoo! It costs $8.99. There are reviews on the website, so you can see how people liked it. It had 17 reviews with a total of a 5/5 star rating! I read the reviews, and it seemed like a good product. One person said they had problems with their hair, and ever since using the Fortune Cookie Shampoo bars, she has seen her hair get healthy. It is also fun if someone asks you what perfume you are wearing, you can say you use Unicorn Farts shampoo! lol xD 

This is what the website says about the shampoo: "We know what women want for their hair: shine, volume, smooth locks, healthy appeal, and smelling of farts. What? You weren't expecting that last one? Oh, sorry, let me clarify. You want your hair smelling of our Unicorn Farts! That's right! Our shampoo bar is packed with glitter, rainbows, sunshine, butterflies, pixies, fairies, and anything else magical that we believed in as kids! You will love the way your hair smells and feels so much you will seriously wonder if Unicorns still do or ever existed!" I thought this was so funny! 

My Review: It was strange for me to use a bar for my hair. First, I got my hair wet. Then, I rubbed the bar all over my head. It started to lather. I gathered the rest of my hair and got it in the shampoo suds too. I figured if I didn't think it was clean I could always use the shampoo a second time. When I rinsed my hair, my hair was squeaky clean! It smells so good! I will come back and say what my hair is like when it has dried.

2. Unicorn Farts Conditioner Bar

Since I got the shampoo I decided to get the conditioner that goes with it. This is what the website has to say about the conditioning bars: "Solid conditioner bar is ultra concentrated - a little goes a long way. Save a bottle from going into the landfill. Easy to store for traveling - no leaky goop in your suitcase or gym bag!" Just like the shampoos there were several conditioners to choose from. I wanted to match the shampoo. It costs $8.49, and has 10 reviews with 5/5 stars! 

My Review: Again, I thought it was strange to use a bar as a conditioner. After shampooing my hair I rubbed the conditioner bar over my head. Then, I parted my hair in half. I have long hair. I rubbed the bar down my hair. I left it on as I shaved and washed my body. When it was time to rinse my hair, I was surprised how smooth and shiny my hair was as I rinsed it! Sometimes you can tell right away when you have used a good conditioner. I was very happy, and it smelled good too!

You can buy a tin to store your bars in. You have to make sure the bars are completely dry because the tins will rust if they get wet. This makes it easy to travel with the bars. The tin costs $4.25. I am waiting for these to come in the mail.

3. Sample Bath Bomb "Sunshine Superman": It is nice to get something for free. This is what the website says about bath bombs. "Place bath bomb into a full bath. Watch the skin softening bubbles go to work. Let the effervescence, color, and aroma soothe your soul." I have tried the Lush bath bombs and I love them! It makes taking a bath fun. I feel like a child again. This is what the website says about the Sunshine Superman: "There are many different thing you can do to help yourself wake up on the right side of the bed. I suggest dropping a Sunshine Superman into your bath in the morning. Not only will the lemon-citrus scent get your eyes open and help jump start your morning, but the chamomile will tone it down a bit with promises of a good day! Oh yeah and our Bath bombs are awesome for your skin this one has real Chamomile buds throughout! There are over 100 separate ailments and conditions which chamomile has been traditionally used to treat such as skin inflammation, wound healing, and the common cold. If you do not want loose Chamomile buds leaves in your bath, a free muslin bag can be included at no additional charge." They didn't send me a bag. I will have to buy one at the store. There was a Lush bomb that had rose petals that came out, which was pretty. There was another bomb that had wildflowers that came out and seeds, and I wished I would have used a muslin bag if I would have known about doing that because it made the tub a mess after the bath. There were little particles of plants all around the tub! 

My Review: This reminds me of a lemon drop candy. The smell is invigorating and sweet. The buds didn't bother me. I didn't get a muslin bag. It wasn't as messy as a Lush bath bomb can be. It made my skin nice and soft too! This was a really cool sample to get. It was nice of them to send me a free sample. I wasn't expecting it.

So overall, I am excited to have these products. I think you can tell when I am excited about something because I usually write a blog post about it. lol!

Wet 'n Wild Summer Eye Shadow Collection 2014!

I'm really excited about this! I just found at my local Rite Aid a BRAND NEW Wet 'n Wild collection of eye shadows! I didn't know this was coming because I haven't heard any Wet 'n Wild Ambassadors talk about it, whether on blog or Youtube video! I decided to do a review about it, since no one else seems to be talking about it. They were $2.99 each.

1. Something to Rave About: Aren't these colors beautiful?! Most all of these eyeshadows are matte! And that is really rare to find at the drugstore. I think last year Wet 'n Wild came out with a bunch of trios, but they didn't get very good reviews. I think these shadows are good quality. They are creamy and pigmented. They blend out nicely. This is the only swatch I did using a primer. The other swatches you are about to see are with no primer!

a. Browbone: matte light yellow

b. Crease: matte sky blue

c. Eyelid: matte dark pink

2. Sun-Set to See: I love this combination of colors. It feels so summery to me.

a. Browbone: matte cream

b. Crease: matte warm mid tone brown (This would be perfect for the crease!)

c. Eyelid: matte medium orange

3. Who's Carpooling? I can't get over how creamy and beautiful these shades are! I wonder why no one is talking about these shadows yet? Are they just not in the majority of stores? I can't wait to see the tutorials people will come out with!

a. Browbone: matte white

b. Crease: matte medium green

c. Eyelid: matte cobalt blue

4. Lost My Wristband: The names for the trios are cute too. This trio reminds me of Spring, I think because the colors look pastel.

a. Browbone: matte light pink

b. Crease: matte yellow (This looks like the same yellow in Something to Rave About.)

c. Eyelid: matte yellow green

5. No Scalpers Allowed: I had to google scalpers. In case you are wondering, they are people that illegally sell tickets.

a. Browbone: matte white pink (It looks white on my hand, but it is a pink color. It is really light.)

b. Crease: matte medium purple

c. Eyelid: satin dark blue violet (I may be wrong, but this looked more like a satin than a matte up close. It also looked like it had purple in it, that is why I called it a blue violet.)

6. Standing My Camp-Ground! These shadows are not over a primer by the way!

a. Browbone: matte yellow orange

b. Crease: matte warm dark brown

c. Eyelid: satin dark pink (Like the blue violet, this looks like more of a satin to me than a matte. I could be wrong.)

I love these eye shadows! I'm also excited to do my first blog post review inspired by one of my favorite blogs like Temptalia or Vampy Varnish or something! I hope you like my review and find it helpful! 

May Empties!

This is where I get to show you my trash, and because I tried this product hopefully I can give a good review and tell you whether or not I would recommend it or if I would repurchase this. I hope this is helpful!

1. Freeman Facial Peel-Off Mask Cucumber: The packaging says, "Clarifies & renews skin. This clarifying mask gently peels away impurities while Cucumber Extract leaves your skin smooth and silky." You apply and leave on for 5-10 minutes and then you peel it off and rinse with warm water. I don't like this kind of mask. It was hard finding the mask to peel off because it is clear. I am not going to purchase this. This is small size. You can buy it in a bottle form too. I've seen it at Walgreens.

2. Freeman Facial Exfoliating Scrub in Pink Grapefruit: The packaging says, "Invigorates & smoothes complexion. This deeply purifying non-abrasive exfoliating scrub enhanced with Pink Grapefruit gently resurfaces. Invigorates and smoothes your skin. Microbeads remove dead skin cells and improve healthy cell renewal." This smells so good! And it is non-abrasive. The beads are very small. I couldn't find this in the store, so I bought the full size bottle on drugstore.com for $3.99.

3. Banana Boat Sport Performance Sunblock SPF 50: I didn't finish this because  I saw my skin would peel off whenever I used this stuff! I looked up Consumer Reports to see what the best sunscreen was and it said the Walmart Equate SPF 50 is one of the best! So I'm going to have to pick that up, and hopefully my skin won't peel! I don't recommend this sunblock.

4. Coppertone Sport Ultra Sweatproof Waterproof SPF 50 Clear Continuous Spray Sunscreen: This works good on my legs, but I have some sort of allergic reaction when I put it on my chest and arms. The spray makes it easy to apply. I would get this again for my legs, my my arms and chest peel off just like the Banana Boat Sunscreen.

5. Versace Bright Crystal Eau de Toilette: This was a one time use sample. I got a bunch of perfume samples like this when I ordered on E-Bay. It was really nice of the sender. This smells very bright! It helps to wake you up. I like it! I wouldn't purchase this because I have too many perfumes and samples. Sephora says the notes are "Iced Accord, Yuzu, Pomegranate, Peony, Magnolia, Lotus Flower, Acajou, Vegetal Amber, and Musk." I can really smell the pomegranate. That is what is so refreshing. Sephora says the style is "sheer, sensual, and luminous." It isn't sheer, it is very strong. I wouldn't say it was sensual or luminous. But I liked the way it smelled.

6. Chloe Eau de Parfum: This smells so elegant! I love it! This would make a nice gift from a boyfriend/husband. It is &105. I wouldn't buy this because I already have so many perfumes and samples. I don't need it, but it is nice. Sephora says the notes are "Pink Peony, Freesia, Lychee, Magnolia Flower, Lily of the Valley, Rose, Cedarwood, Amber, and Honey." It is very feminine.

7. Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet Eau de Toilette: This reminds me of the Chloe perfume, but fainter. It smells very feminine too. I like it. I wouldn't purchase this. It would be a romantic gift. Sephora says the notes are, "Sicilian Orange Essence, Pink Peony, Damascus Rose, and White Musk." They say the style is "chic, romantic, and charming." I think it is romantic.

8. Healthy Sexy Hair Color Safe Soy Moisturizing Shampoo: I got this at Super Cuts when I got my hair dyed. They recommended this to me. I don't think I will repurchase this because it is expensive. I will look for one at the drugstore that is color safe.

9. Tresemme Tres Two Spray Ultra Fine Mist Hair Spray 3: It says "superior hold with touchable feel. All day humidity resistance." It has superior hold. My hair is fine, so it was really thick in my hair. I felt like taking a shower after using it. I like it though. I repurchased it. When I researched what hairspray to buy this hairspray got a lot of good reviews.

10. Maybelline Dream Lumi Concealer in Radiant: I love this stuff! I repurchased it. I like the one in ivory too. It has a peachy tint to it, so it helps brighten dark under eyes. You can put it on the face as a highlighter.

JollyVoxBox!

I was so excited to get the e-mail that I was selected to get the JollyVoxBox in the mail! I had heard about Influenster maybe a year ago, and I thought it sounded fun, so I signed up. Unfortunately, I didn't seem to qualify to get anything. I don't go on Twitter that much, and I don't make Youtube videos. I thought I wasn't able to get anything because I didn't hear from them for a long time. I sort of forgot about the website. So I don't know why I got selected, maybe I was in a long line of people waiting to be chosen. My ego likes to think, they saw my blog and thought it was so good they chose me. But for whatever reason I got this box that came with free goodies inside! I didn't know what I would get until I got my box yesterday.

I had to check on the website that I got the box, and I think that gave me a badge. Then they had a list of things for me to do. I could review the box on my blog, talk about it on Twitter, review the box on a Youtube video, etc. Then once I do something I submit it to the website. I'm going to do a blog review of it. I promise it is my honest opinion. I guess they will see my review and decide if they want to send me more Influenster boxes in the future to review. They will notify me when a survey is available and I'm supposed to take the survey about what I thought about the products in the box. There are also things you can do for each brand that is in the box. I haven't looked at that yet.

So this is the information card that came in the box:

It says: "Can you hear the children's laughter? Do you see the candy-colored lights lining the streets? Can you taste the thrill in the air? It's the most wonderful time of year. Filled with treasure to keep you smiling from ear to ear, the Jolly VoxBox is finally here!"

This reminds me of The IPSY Bag or Birchbox. It always came with an introduction card. Then on the other side is what is inside the box. I try not to look at that because I like to be surprised as I open the box, just like I'm opening a gift.

1. Puffs Ultra Soft & Strong To Go Tissue Pack: $0.49/single pack

I actually do have a cold and have been using lots of tissues. Normally, I just get whatever tissue is handy. I'm not picky. I do like it when there is lotion in the tissue. These are the kind with lotion and it feels so nice on the skin. I forget that I like the lotion kind. At school, the tissues feel like cardboard paper. I have to keep a little size package of tissues in my coat pocket or my purse because of my runny nose and my watery eyes.

This is what the card says, "Puffs Ultra Soft & Strong TO Go is still our best non-lotion facial tissue to use in the car, for on-the-go, wherever you go!" That's interesting. I thought it had lotion in it! Looking at the tissues, it says "Plus Lotion" next to the Puffs logo on the bottom. It's hard to see in my picture. Maybe this is a different tissue then the one it says on the card. It feels like lotion to me, and I can smell it.

2. NYC New York Color HD Color Trio Eye Shadow: $2.99

The swatches on my hand show that it isn't very pigmented for 2/3 shades. The top color is a really pretty highlight. I used this under my brow, inner corner, top of cheekbones, and cupid's bow. It looks very natural. The second color is the most pigmented. I used this on the crease. It is a really pretty warm brown. The third color is a taupe, and I put it on my eyelid. It isn't as pigmented, but sometimes it is more natural looking to have a lighter shade.

The card says, "HD Color Trio Eye Shadow delivers high intensity color with a silky soft texture. This lightweight formula blends effortlessly for the ultimate smoky eye look." I don't see how this is HD or intense at all. The shadows are silky that is true and it is a lightweight formula. I didn't create a smoky eye with this. These shadows reminds me of something I would wear in the Spring or Summer.

When I first saw this palette it reminded me of an eyeshadow trio I already had: Covergirl's Shimmering Sands. I wanted to compare the two. The NYC trio is called "Long Beach Sands."

In the palette they look similar.

The top is NYC and the bottom is Covergirl. The Covergirl has 2/3 colors that show up on my hand. They are similar to the middle color in the NYC palette. The Covergirl palette is more expensive. It is $4.49 at Target.

To be honest the NYC trio is just ok to me. I think I will give this to my mom. I showed it to her, and she really liked it.

3. Rimmel London NEW Show Off Lip Lacquer: $5.49-$5.99

I was really happy to see this in my VoxBox! I had heard about these lip lacquers on Youtube because originally they were sold in England and called "Apocalypse." They did really well in the U.K. and when they they came over to America people went crazy. When I tried to find them at my Walgreens, they were all sold out! I was trying to find the Luna shade because that one was the most desirable to me. This is the one the VoxBox sent me! Later, I did find one that I wanted called Celestial. It is a really pretty plum shade. I use this whenever a look calls for a plum lip.

Luna is on the top and Celestial is on the bottom. They have "universe" shade names. This is a creamy formula. It reminds me of the NYX Xtreme Lip Creams. They are $5.99 at Ulta. It is very thick. They both feel nice on the lips. They aren't really lipsticks or lip glosses. They are a different texture.

The left one is Rimmel and the right is NYX. They are the same texture. It's obviously a different color, but they are both vibrant, and very pretty. The card says, "It's the end of colour as you know it! The intense rich colour of a lipstick combined with an invincibly smooth lacquer shine. Available in 14 shades." I think when they say "It's the end of colour as you know it!" This is referring to the idea of the Apocalypse lip lacquers. Maybe this is the same thing they said about those.

I really like this lip lacquer. I'm so happy to get it! It was all sold out at my stores.

4. Skinny Cow Candy: $3.99/box, $1.09/single bar or pouch

They come with three chocolates in a pouch. I ate one, that is why there were two left. I love chocolate and these are chocolate peanut butters! It really tastes good to me. It tastes like a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup. I asked my dad if he thought so, and he did too. They are lower in calories though. I looked up the information about Reese's. They have 210 calories, 110 calories from fat, and 13g of total fat. Skinny Cow Divine Filled Chocolates Candy in Peanut Butter Creme has 130 calories per pouch, 70 calories from fat, and 7g of total fat! I have tried Skinny Cow before and I liked them. It doesn't taste like you are getting a lower calorie candy. This is what the card says, "TA DA! Presenting almost too good to be true Skinny Cow Candy! Unbelievably chocolatey. Melt-in-your-mouth madness. Perfectly yummy portions. Skinny Cow's line of candy weighs in at 110 to 130 calories. So if you've been avoiding the candy aisle, welcome back. You're gonna feel like a kid in a candy store."

5. Ducklings Mini Rolls: $2-$3

This is Duck Tape. Isn't it cute?! I actually needed to get some duct tape because I use it to fix my key chain for work. The circle comes loose and then my keys fall out. I already used plain black tape to fix it. This is a nice color and it matches my lanyard for work.

This is what the card says, "Excellent for repair, crafting, and imaginative projects. High performance strength and adhesion characteristics. Tears easily by hand without curling and conforms to uneven surfaces. Ducklings are perfect for small repairs, trimming out projects or for when you just need a little tape!" I agree these are good for repair and they are strong. It lasts for a long time. But I have trouble tearing it with my hand. I had to use scissors. Maybe I am just weak.

So that is my review! I hope it was helpful to you! I liked 4/5 of the items. I like how these are all things I can get at my local store. They aren't expensive products.
