This video is my shortest one yet! It's only 2 minutes. So I am just showing what I got on my beach trip. I thought people might be interested.
1. Mo's pink hoodie. Mo's is my favorite restaurant. It's at different locations, but my favorite one is in Cannon Beach. It is right by the ocean. Beautiful views. And the food is so delicious.
2. S+L beautiful beach bracelet
3. Sugar free taffy
4. Jane Buck Collection card: I bought for one of my cousin's birthdays is in December. The colors remind me of her. I think she will love it.
Today I copied a look by Jaclyn Hill. I don't have the Morphe Jaclyn Hill palette. I just used what eyeshadows I already had. I love Temptalia's blog because she has swatches of the colors, describes them, and lists a bunch of dupes for each shade in case you already own them. To do this look I had all the colors except for the orange yellow color. I tried to mix a red and yellow to make one, but it didn't look right. I think if I were to do this look again I would just use Too Faced's Peanut Butter in the crease and not worry about the Creamsicle color.
This is the video I copied...
Here are the dupes I found...
1. Pukey: Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette in Peanut Butter
2. Central Park: Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette in Charmed, I'm Sure
3. Mocha: Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette in Milk Chocolate
4. Diva: L'Oreal Infallible Eye Shadow in Golden Emerald
5. Enchanted: Maybelline Color Explosion Palette in Forest Fury (not sold in stores anymore)
6. Pool Party: Disney Sephora The Little Mermaid Palette in Caspian Sea (this was limited edition)
7. Enlight: Disney Sephora The Little Mermaid Palette in Sea Shells
The blush I used was The Balm In Stain Blush in Houndstooth.
The lip combo I am wearing is Maybelline Almond Rose #565 and Bare Minerals 100% Natural Lip Gloss in Cassis.
If you want to see the process I went through in creating this look here is my video of me doing it.
1. The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie, Art by Ellen Forney
I read this book for a book club I am attending at my local library tonight. It is written for young adults, but I think it is very powerful and well written, so it is good for adults too. I've read a review on goodreads.com (where you can read reviews and write them for whatever book you want) that some people think it is too adult for young adults, but I think it depends on the person reading. The main character in the book is Junior and he is a freshman in high school and is going through puberty so that may offend certain types of people. It is about a boy that is an Indian and he lives on a reservation. He decides to change schools and go to a school that is in a nearby small town that has white people because their educational system is better than the school on his reservation. He is seen as a traitor by a lot of the people in his neighborhood. A lot of things happen. A lot of heartbreak, and this book could leave you in tears, but there is a lot of humor in it as well. It is such a good book! I recommend it.
2. Children of the Day by Beth Moore
I am starting out doing this Bible study by Beth Moore. The women's Bible study at my church is reading it. We have different things to do as an individual to work through this workbook a few pages every day to read in 1st and 2nd Thessalonians and answer questions. And then we meet in the Bible study once a week to watch a video of Beth Moore teaching, and we discuss in a group as well what we are learning about and how our lives relate to the study. I have done a study by her before with my friend Mary Lou who recently passed away, and it was really good too about breaking the chains. So I am excited to learn a lot doing this study. I like how she teaches what the original Greek works mean.
3. Ghostbusters 2016
My family rented this movie this month and I thought it was so funny! I think I had heard it got bad reviews and that it wasn't as good as the first two Ghostbusters movies, so I didn't want to see it. On a whim we rented it, and 2/3 people liked it. It is very silly humor. I like the women who starred in it initially, so I thought I may like this one because I like that sense of humor. All the original Ghostbusters make appearances in the movie too, so it is fun to see when they pop up. It wasn't too scary that it freaked me out too bad. Lately, I have not been in the mood to watch real horror movies, so this was more funny to me than scary and that was what I wanted.
4. Anastasia of Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette
This is on my favorites again. I keep using and loving this palette. I love the beautiful colors. Look at those colors! It is like the colors from a leaf that is changing colors. A lot of the Youtube makeup tutorials I have been getting inspired by are using colors like that are in this palette, so I have been using it to copy the looks.
5. Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette
I got this palette for my birthday this month, and I love the colors of peach, oranges, browns, and there is a green and purple too. These colors also remind me of the fall. I have been looking up Youtube videos that people have made using this palette. It is so much fun. It is my hobby. Also, I think the colors look good with my coloring. I am an Autumn person.
6. Bath & Body Works Leaves Candle
I have seen and heard people talk about this candle for years on Youtube. I have watched people's hauls and people talking about how much they love Bath and Body Works candles. I have never gotten their candles before, so with my birthday money I bought two candles. I wanted to get Leaves because I was so curious. It smells so good! It does remind me of the fall. It smells like berries, apples, and nectar. One candle can fill up so many rooms of my home!
7. Bath & Body Works Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin Candle
I have gotten a pumpkin candle before, so I had a good idea I would enjoy this scent. I love the smell of cinnamon and pumpkin.
8. Jenny Craig
These are pumpkin cakes and the pumpkin loaf that are available now at Jenny Craig. They are so good! I am amazed at how good the food manages to be there even though it is diet food. It helps me to stick with the program because the food tastes good, it is convenient to make, and it teaches me what appropriate portion sizes are. I have lost almost 15 lbs now doing the program. I have a lot of weight to lose, but I'm not going to give up this time! In the past I have felt overwhelmed and defeated, and I would give up. I am learning that even this is a huge mental challenge to get healthy, it is doable and I may slip up from time to time, but I can't just start over again the next time I eat. And make healthy choices the next day. It helps me to meet with my consultant. Also, the Jenny Craig forum has helped encourage me.
9. What A Beautiful Name (Lyric Video) by Hillsong Worship
This is a holy song. It gives me chills sometimes when I listen to it. It helps me feel calm when I am driving, and the words are so powerful.
Here are some of the words...
You were the word at the beginning
One with God the Lord Most High
Your hidden glory in creation
Now revealed in You our Christ
What a beautiful name it is
What a beautiful name it is
The name of Jesus Christ my King
What a beautiful name it is
Nothing compares to this
What a beautiful name it is the Name of Jesus
10. Feel It Still by Portugal, The Man (lyric video)
This has a good beat. It's a song that you have to move to when you hear it. It is a popular song that I've heard on the pop radio station. I also heard it in Ulta (makeup store). I wanted to start dancing in the store, but I had to restrain myself. I love this song!
11. What About Us by Pink (lyric video)
Pink has such a beautiful voice. She is so talented. Her voice is moving to me. I love it when this song comes on the radio. The words are so meaningful to me.
We are search lights
We can see in the dark
We are rockets
Pointed up at the stars
We are billions of beautiful hearts
And you sold us down the river too far
What about us?
What about all the times you said you had the answers?
What about us?
What about all the broken happy ever afters?
What about us?
What about all the plans that ended in disaster?
What about love?
What about trust?
What about us?
12. Rise by Danny Gokey (lyric video)
This is another inspiring, Christian song. I love it when I am listening to Pandora radio and this song comes on when I am walking. Here are some of it's lyrics...
There's a brokenness inside of you
There's a wound that still reminds you
Of the fear, shame and rejection
You have seen it
You have seen it
You know it's time to get up
But your heart's paralyzed you're so stuck
You're past the point of trying again
You're defeated
You're defeated
But something inside you can't deny
You hear the call of your Creator
Made you for more, unlock the door
I wanna restore your glory
So rise
Breaking the dark, piercing the night
You were made to shine
An army of hope bringing the world
A radiant light
A radiant light
You were made to rise
I made a video and posted it onto Youtube showing my favorites if you want to see what I look like and sound like in real life. I am nervous in the video, so I say "um" a lot I noticed, but if you can get past that you might like this video. Also, please leave comments on my blog or underneath the video. I don't get very many comments so I would love to hear what your favorite things were for the month of September. Count your blessings! And it is fun to share.
I think this is a simple, pretty look with fall colors. I liked how this turned out. I was copying a look by SMLx0 or Stephanie Ledda on Youtube that she did last year.
I love her tutorials and I love her personality. I think she is so cool.
Here are the steps I took to create this look.
1. A medium brown with yellow undertones and a matte finish on the crease
2. A medium dark red brown with warm undertones and a matte finish on the outer crease. I used Summer Yum from Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette.
3. A soft, light-medium yellow gold frost on the lid.
4. The medium brown used on the crease put on the lower lash line.
5. A dark purple-burgundy with warmer undertones and a satin finish on the lower lash line. I used the color Delectable from the Sweet Peach Palette.
6. I did all the face makeup.
7. I put a highlighter on and I put it in the tear ducts.
8. I used Covergirl's Cheekers Blush in Soft Sable. Steph used Tarte Sensual Blush which is a medium peach-brown with warm undertones and it is a semi-matte finish.
9. Jordana Lip Liner in Rock and Roll
10. I used Maybelline Almond Rose matte lipstick in #565. Steph used Gerard Cosmetics 1995.
This is another look I find that is inspired by SMLx0 or Stephanie Ledda on Youtube. She did a look last year using the ABH Mario Master Palette and I found I had similar colors and I could copy her look using mainly the ABH Modern Renaissance Palette.
I downloaded another video of me getting ready on Youtube. The reason why it is so long is because I don't know how to edit the video. I just know how to record myself, and then upload it onto Youtube. It's fun for me to do it, and I think I learn more about applying makeup when i record myself and watch it back. I encourage you to do it if you are studying makeup! You don't need to put it on Youtube of course, but it is fun to watch and to see how makeup transforms your face.
These are the steps of what I did.
1. Tape sides of face.
2. Realgar from Modern Renaissance Palette in the crease, it is a medium-dark orange brown, matte shade
3. Warm Taupe in the crease, it is a medium taupe-brown, matte warm undertones
4. Too Faced Sugar and Spice Palette in Chocolate Cake, You can use any warm dark brown, matte color. I put this along the tape and upper lash line, outer v and dragged it in. This step was difficult for me because I felt like the eyes did not match.
5. Primavera from Modern Renaissance on the lid. This is a light-medium, frosted warm gold.
6. Chocolate Cake, along upper lash line and tape again
7. Cream or yellow highlight under brow blend it down with the crease color. I used the cream from Lorac Pro Palette.
8. Realgar, lower lash line
9. Chocolate Cake, outer lower lash line
10. Lashes
11. Covergirl Cheekers Blush in Soft Sable
12. The Balm Mary Lou Manizer on the highlights of the face and tear ducts
This is the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette with Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso and Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Peach Parfait
This is my makeup for today using my new Sweet Peach palette! I had seen a number of videos on Youtube using it, so as I normally do on my birthday I decided to get this makeup palette. I am so excited now, so expect to see a lot of posts and tutorials using it as I create looks with it and get inspired by other people's tutorials.
These are the steps I used to create my look. It wasn't difficult.
1. Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette, Puree, crease
2. Bellini, outer 1/2 of the lid. I wet my brush with Mario Badescu spray. You can use water or MAC Fix Plus, Elf mist and set spray or any kind of spray you have.
3. Luscious, inner 1/2 of lid
4. Puree, lower lash line
5. Charmed, I'm Sure, outer half of upper lash line
6. Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso
7. Jordana Lip Liner in Tawny, lined lips and filled them in
8. Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Peach Parfait
This is the video of me putting on my makeup for today...
Here is the look I wore today for my cousin's son's 16th birthday party. I used L'Oreal La Palette Nude 1, Wet 'n Wild Rose Champagne Blush, Maybelline Lip Liner in Raisin, and Wet 'n Wild Highlighter Mega Illuminating Palette. I think it turned out pretty, and it wasn't difficult.
1. So using L'Oreal La Palette Nude 1, I took the third color from the left and put it in the crease.
2. The 8th color a dark brown i put on the lid.
3. The 6th color, a medium brown shade, blend out the lid color in the crease so there would be no harsh lines.
4. First color in palette under brows.
5. The 5th color, a medium tan color in between the crease and highlight color.
6. I used a matte black eye shadow from another palette along the upper lash line.
7. I put the 8th color on the lower lash line.
8. Foundation, concealer, powder, contour
9. Wet 'n Wild Rose Champagne Blush
10. Wet 'n Wild Mega Glow Illuminating Palette, the shade on the right side on cheekbones, above eyebrows, forehead, nose, cupid's bow, and tear ducts
11. Mascara
12. Maybelline Lip Liner in Raisin, I lined my lips and filled them in.
This is me following her tutorial using the shadows I have. I'm going to describe the colors she is using so you can find duplicates in the eyeshadows you already own. You don't need to buy the same palette as her.
This is my youtube video copying this look, and showing how I got it. It's amazing to see the transformation from how I look at the beginning with no makeup on to the end.
1. She used Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette in the color Puree in her crease. This is a medium caramel brown with warm undertones and a matte finish.
2. Next, she used Summer Yum on the upper 1/2 of her lid. This is a medium-dark, red-brown with warm undertones and a matte finish.
3. Peach Pit on the lid. This is a dark, reddish brown with warm undertones and a pearly shimmer finish.
4. Tempting on the upper lash line. This color is a blackened brown with warm undertones and a pearly sheen.
5. Summer Yum on lower lash line
6. Clean brush, blend out lower lash line.
7. Peach Pit lower lash line.
8. Golden highlight on the tear duct and under brow.
9. Mascara
10. She wore bronzer, highlight, and a lip gloss to complete this look.
This is the video where I copied her look. This is a blow by blow of what she did. She is Stephanie Ledda aka SMLx0. She is one of my favorite people on youtube. I have watched her for years. I love her personality and I think her looks are really pretty.

18. Highlighter tops of cheekbones, nose, over eyebrows
19. Maybelline Raisin Lip Liner
20. Dark berry matte lipstick. I used Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor in Addiction
If you want to see me give a tutorial. This video is me showing how I do the look. I don't know how to edit so it is longer and far less professional compared to the tutorials I am trying to copy.
9. Nude Matte Lip, light nude in center of bottom lip. I used Wet 'n Wild Megalast Liquid Catsuit in 921B Nudist Peach and then in the center of the bottom lip I used Maybelline Color Sensational Matte Lipstick in 915 Blushing Beige.
10. Eyebrows
11. Eyeshadow Primer
12. Too Faced Just Peachy Velvet Matte Eye Shadow Palette in Peach Tea, crease. I used Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette in Peanut Butter. Light-medium orange/brown matte color.
13. She used Peach Butter and a little dab of Just Peachy under her brow. I used a good under brow color for me which is a really, really light off white color. Her colors were a light beige mixed with a tiny bit of peach.
14. Peach Punch, center of the lid. This is a vibrant medium-dark pink-coral with warm undertones. I had to try different shadows to find this color. I could have mixed a pink with an orange. I didn't think about it when I was doing this look. But I think my eye look still ended up looking good even though it wasn't quite the same color as she used.
15. Just Peachy, inner 1/3 of the lid. This is a bright medium coral-orange. I used Milani Bella Eye Shadow in Mandarin.
16. Peach Sangria, outer 1/3 of lid and a little bit in the outer crease. I used Anastasia of Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Eye Shadow in Love Letter.
17. Blend everything out.

19. Peach Cobbler on lower lash line. This is a medium-dark burnt orange matte color. I used Wrath from the Kat Von D Monarch Palette.
20. Peach Tart, outer edge of lower lash line.
21. Liquid Liner upper lash line. I used the dark brown one from Physician's Formula.
22. Lashes. My favorite mascara currently is L'Oreal Paradise.
This is a step-by-step how Kalyn did her fall makeup. I don't have the Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette, so I used the ABH Modern Renaissance Palette and a few other colors that were similar. I will show you what I did to copy this look.
1. Face Primer
2. Foundation
3. Concealer
4. Powder
5. Brows

14. Ashes, lower lash line. UD Naked 3 in Nooner.
15. Chaser, inner part of lower lash line. Stila In the Know in Clay.
I found this really pretty back-to-school look by Aliza Schreiber. It is simple and using a palette that I own. Even if you aren't going back-to-school I love these simple tutorials that come out every year at this time. They are perfect if you want an easy, quick, everyday type of look to be polished wherever you maybe in the daytime (it doesn't need to be school).
These are the steps...
1. Face Primer
2. Foundation, with a sponge
3. Concealer, with a sponge
4. Eye Primer
5. Bronzer, cheeks, nose, neck
6. Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette in Mousse, crease, fluffy brush
7. Caramel, finger, lid, blend out with crease brush

10. Brows
11. Nude lip liner
12. Nude lip gloss
13. Don't forget mascara. I think she has extensions.
